Carnival of the Cats #288

Carnival of the Cats

From Blog d'Elisson, Haduna as "THE LOOK". And what pretty blue eyes he has too!

For some reason though, Elisson is not all that pleased with the new book Glamourpuss. I not mind getting dressed up, but I not like having my ears covered so I not want to wear one of those.

Wigs bad enough, but I pretty sure I not what ANY of the products Digerati Life write about!

The Poor Mouth presents Boris, in all his Magnificence. My goodness! He could be cat model! Hubba! Hubba!

More pretty blue eyes from Elms in the Yard!

No Deep Thoughts sends us a playful video in The More Things Change...

Our Furry Boys sed us nice picture of Sebastian resting. Or is he?

Aloysius is missing all his chipmunks. Neighbor should not have called exterminator, get rid of rodents, just as cat. Chipmunks still a be around then.

(Except I probably eat those too.)

Over at CatSynth, Luna has some Grass. I have lots of grass too. Outside.

We have nother month before Howl'N'Scream, but Denali from Kitty Kitty already have costume picked out! And you'll never guess what she going to be!

Over at Mind of Mog, it Catwalk Caturday with Meowza in the buff!

Meowza show us some of his grooming technique in Lick Lick.

There's been a new cat sighting at the Irish Coda. It seems Frisky is hiding out in Grandpa Bean's room.

(He does not look very frisky to me!)

Meanwhile, over at Strange Ranger, Maddie has a new toy, and some catnip!

(Tabby brofur has all kinds of catnip. He has been shopping for a garlic collar though, to ward off vampires.)

Roller Coaster of Love

That does it for this week's Carnival of the Cats! Need more cats? Check out weekend cat blogging at Life from a Cat's Perspective.

Carnival of the Cats #254

Carnival of the Cats

Let the Good Times Roll! Fat Tuesday is February 24 in New Orleans, marking the start of Mardi Gras!

Known as the Celebration of Carnival, it is popular in many countries. The colors of Mardi Gras are purple, Green and gold and represent Justice (purple), Faith (green) and Power (gold).

We are celebrating a bit early, here at the Carnival of the Cats.

To start out though, we are going back even earlier to some Weekend Cat Blogging with Kate but it's not a happy post as it seems her kitten Loiosh has a fractured leg. Healing purrs would of course be appreciated!

Rob Stone sends along a link to Video Jug where you can view many videos on Cat Care, adopting a cat, and illness and treatments.

This is a very good resource and you should probably bookmark. it also includes a video on Feline De-Clawing alternatives which when you understand The Truth About Declawing, you will want to give him head bumps for!

Annie Binns feels the need to explain why she smells like bleach. I have to disagree on her belief that shelters must be either "no-kill" or "open-admission" but not both, as we have several here in Florida that are both. However, we probably deal with a lower volume of homeless animals than big city shelters do.

Jams O'Donnell shares a picture of "Robyn and...2" over at the The Poor Mouth.

Jay Zuck shares the beauty of the feline form in his Sketch of the Day. He said he was challenged to sketch the most fearsome predator he could think of, and he did a very good job of it!

Russ sends along a video of the first thing he sees every morning. For some reason, he doesn't like the nose biting part. I wonder why that is?

Videos seem to be popular today as next we are treated to Ninja Cat 2, the sequel to the popular Ninja Cat video.

My Tabby Brofur should be happy then that the Paparazzi that have plague him this week not have video cameras, as he is caught Sleeping with the Enemy. It is okay, I give him extra face whaps today and steal his treats! Hah!

Tristan not the only one plagued by Paparazzi. Just take a look at Rufamuffle. Yes, it is easy to get us to close our eyes as we do not like the flashy box.

Zoey the Paw-ty Animal

Don't for get to check out High Five Sunday at Zoolatry AND vote for Maggy for Purrresident. Zoey is too busy trying to become Prime Minster of Paw-ties!

Callie has no problems with Paparazzi as she poses for the camera over at Allan Thinks.

Over at Doubting Thomas, they are Channeling Chessie the railway cat.

Speaking of trains, Elms in the Yard shares a photo of Stripes, a member of the colony that lives at a train station in Tel Aviv.

Empire Cat

Chinese New Years is tomorrow, January 26th, as it becomes the Year of the Ox. Cat Synth shares with us the Cats of China on Weekend Cat Blogging.

On might argue that every day is Caterday over at the House of the (Mostly) Black Cats, but Pepi has some special plans for this one.

House Panther

Speaking of Pepi, he has a dream. So do I and so do a bunch of other kitties. Check them all out at T13: I has a dream.

Health insurance for cats is a very important issue and the Insurance Toolbox sends along an article on it. However, I take offense to "Fido" and "Whiskers" as names. My goodness...couldn't they have been more imaginative?

The Lazers are out over at When cats Attack. To be honest, I find little entertainment in chasing the red dot.

The Strange Ranger has some New Behavior to report. But we all switch up our sleeping spots when it get cold, I think. Actually, we switch up our sleeping spots about every other day around here. Keeps the Paparazzi guessing!

Gottagopractice seems to have some privacy issues as she tries to take a bath at If at first you don't succeed.... Now THAT's a funny picture!

Sam Black and Mr. Tigger break out their Seminoles gear over at Life from a Cat's Perspective. No photo hunt, but still lots of cute pictures. And they are supporting Maggy for Puuurrresident!

That does it for this week's Carnival of the Cats. Hope you enjoyed the festivities and gathered a lot of beads and candy!

Carnival of the Cats - Edition #234

Carnival of the Cats #243

Wow! For minute there I wonder if we going to get off the ground! Last night my monitor screen go all green! Happily, my bean have a back up monitor so...

Off we go!

First we start with a couple of submissions that come in late for last week's Carnival.

Aloysius from Catymology wish to wish us a Happy Halloween...belatedly of course:

Aloysius

Nice Laser eyes!

Karen recaps the great debate at Author Mom with Dogs. Should Finn, her Maine Coon, be an inside or an outside cat.

I live inside most of the time but I go outside when I want. This suites me best. I would not wish to live outside all the time.

Over at The Poor Mouth, they have a visit from an intruder cat. He kind of rude as well!

Would you like some Coffee with Cream? Just stop by and visit Hakuna at Blog d'Elison.

Hakuna

The Cat Realm Dares you! And keeps on daring you in I Dare You All #4, Part 3.

We kind of likes Zoolatry's dare:

Big Eared Friends

My brofur, on the other paw, dares you to give Peace a Chance:

Peace Out Baby

Don't forget to stop by the
Peace Globe Gallery to see all the other lovely globes created for the Blog Blast for Peace.

Pets Central thinks the way to peace to is in training your kitten. So they present Simple Tips to Train Your Kitten.

Life Info Zone, on the other Paw provides us with an article on Understanding about Cat Health Care. It very basic article, but well worth the read.

Aside from reminding us that Sandy Claws is on the way, Manx Mnews shares a one size fits all cat bed on Finally Friday. It magical!

Change is in the air over at Perfectly Parker. It appears they are doing some remodeling an the kitties are snoopervising...of course!

Actually, the whole world is remodeling as the leaves change colors. Join me at Diamond's Harvest Home as we take a look at 13 Frisky Felines in the Fall:

Pearl

Wait, what's that noise? Oh, it's just Oreo and he's leaving. And it look like lots of fun too!

No pictures of autumn leaves at Elms in the Yard, but her ladyship gets some Chick-Hen while Missy makes quite a dish...

Over in the Texas Oasis, it's snooze time on Furbaby Friday:

Henry takes a nap

Kate is also in Texas, contemplating life on the Gulf Coast at No Deep Thoughts.

Do you have a rule in your house about no cats on the table? Well Rocky the Turkey cat has overturned it at Artsy Catsy.

Rocky the Turkey Cat

Check out how having Cats on the Table can help other kitties!

The original Doubting Thomas may doubt this, but he certainly doesn't doubt that Friday Cat Blogging is Happiness.

My bean says she used to have a little floofy white dog like the one next to His Kittiness in the picture.

Uh-Oh...Phoebe is all Bug-Eyes and ready to cause trouble at Phoebe, A Siamese Cat.

Graphics

WARNING! WARNING! Political discussion ahead. Advance at your own risk!

Sissy Willis punctuates political discussion with Cat Photos in Spining isn't everything. If that's not enough, try Will President Obama "preserve, protect and defend"? But more importantly, will he give me Temptations?

In the end, He who laughs last laughs best, but it's the kitties laughing at all the political nonsense the come out on top.

Jon Swift leaves out the pictures of the cute cats, and takes offense at President Elect Obama's use of the word "mutt". Hey, I am black, and I am a mutt, and I don't really care what you call me, as long as you call me to dinner.

I would like to call Jon Swift too much of a nitpicker.

End of the political portion of our program.

Graphics

Some people will submit anything to a blog carnival, and all I can say is, it's a "Good Thing" that I don't have to accept them all. If you are are reading this, you know who you are.

Headlamp Kitty

Laser Eyes charged and ready to fire!

Graphics

It is now time for a litter box break. This carnival will resume in half an hour. In the meantime, please enjoy a word from our sponsor:

banner,Graphics,Fairies

This week on T-13: Puddins Billy Sweetfeets, Dr. Tweety, Baby Mao, Mushka, Harley, Nelly, Olive Oyl, Sweet Praline, and Tesla the Kitty will be joined by Woofies Diamond, Rocky and Penny, plus, one very special NMS Mystery Guest!

Graphics

Okay, back to work!

It's a Tummy Tuesday with the Mind of Mog. And Meowza is just flaunting that tummy too.

There are even more tummy shots at iMeowza.

The Moggster wish to let us know she voted. Meowza on the other paw, elected to clean his toes:

Must Clean Toes

Things are all together when you view Life from a Cat's Perspective.

Katie's Kitties wish to invite us share a story, but they mess up the submission form, so I do not know which one they wish to share. So feel free to enjoy them all!

Cute Kitten

Yes, Cats are crazy indeed.

StrangeRanger which to report that Ivy is not feeling well ...In Sickness. We will certainly purr for her to get better soon!

Maddie meanwhile has been sleeping in my favorite spot:

Warm Laundry!

Meanwhile the Island Cats are taking it Easy on Sunday. It would appear that Ernie and Wally have a visitor...

Well that does it for another Carnival of the Cats! Brainball seems have enjoyed all the rides immensely:

Ginger Cat,Tabby Cat,Domestic Cat

I hope he not have too much Cotton Cat Candies...

Until next time!

The Carnival of the Cats #215

graphics

car·ni·val –noun
1. a traveling amusement show, having sideshows, rides, etc.
2. any merrymaking, revelry, or festival, as a program of sports or entertainment: a winter carnival.

Welcome to the Carnival of the Cats, issue #215 - come on in and enjoy yourself!

The fun but ferocious felines gracing our header are Dentzel cats and you can find out more about them at Myth Monday (on Sunday).

Maximum Leader was my first submission for this carnival and he shares an beautiful photo of herself at The Scratching Post.

Curiousity may have killed the cat, but Hrimnir of the House of Chaos is just curious - as any kitten should be.

It appears there was a disturbance in the Force at Anywhere but Here.

The Converative Cat talks about one of my favorite topics: Toys!

Toys are of course one way to entertain a bored cat. Heathy Cat Care Advice shares several others.

Ted, a very handsome Tuxie, is not bored, but very talented. Find out his new task at The Poor Mouth.

Speaking of Tuxie's there's a good bit of Kitty Karma going around at Manx Mnews, the home of my fellow Floridian Tuxie Hideway members.

We've got Tabby bi-color Toesies and Tummy over at Perfectly Parker, who of course shows them off perfectly!

This, that & the Other Thing has tabbies and tuxies and also has an urgent need of a cat whisperer. Honestly, it just seems like good clean feline fun over there to me!

And while we're on Tuxies and Tabbies, Samantha Black and Mr. Tigger from Life from a Cat's Perspective have been left all alone. Time for a trash the house party! (I'll be right over!)

Pumucki at 4 months old

It's Pumucki's first birthday and they're celebrating over at Living with funny Cats in Egypt. Stop on by and wish him a happy one as he is officially a mancat now!

Is that a House Panther I spy? I believe it is! It's Jax on Furbaby Friday at the Texas Oasis.

Grace and the kittens are on a Frog hunt over at Momma Grace & Company.

Speaking of hunting, can you find TC Bear in this picture:

baseball

I got started blogging in part because Stick and Ball Guy was doing Saturday Cat Blogging on his site a few years ago. I figured if one day a week was good, seven days a week would be much better.

Miss Caitie, a shady lady cat, is celebrating some Traditional Friday Cat Blogging at It's all Good. Of course it is!

Blog d'Elisson talks about the Maneki Neko - the Japanese Beckoning Cat - as well as the Japanese Bobtail breed, which the lucky cat symbols were patterned after.

Kokopeli

Composite Drawlings has some early week cat stuff on her site, as it seems that Stretch will helped to the bridge soon, and Kokopelli (pictured above) was fixed - although he'd probably tell you he wasn't broken.

(Note to blogger: you're new word verification program is extremely difficult to read. That's hardly a way to promote community, is it?)

We're not quite ready to leave Composite Drawlings though, as Maus shows us the Beauty in the Beast in her latest photo session.

TacJammer wishes to introduce Kismet and Packet, an exceptionally curious lad and an big soft, fluffball. Stop on by give them a big Cat Blogosphere welcome!

Missy Blue Eyes

Missy Blue Eyes shares her Thankful Thursday with us over at Missy & KC. It seems MomBean has a new camera!

It's also a double Tortie Tuesday at K.C.'s place, which will have you doubling your fun.

Of course, I Ain't Misbehavin' and neither are those lovely girls.

Sandwiched Mom shares with us a sunny silhouette of another pretty tortie, named Aniwa Scrat.

Over at the Mind of Mog Meowza's was enjoying a roll in the dirt so much that Cece just had to jump in!

iMeowza talks about Mu Shue Poo King Cat, hero cat, as well as the Squillion won by Mog.

Yawn

Meanwhile, Ilnfidel was wondering if Meowza could come out and play. Please????

But Meowza is busy showing off his tummy on Tummy Tuesday.

Are cats A deep threat to all that is human? I don't know, I like humans. This is a very political post, but there's a nice picture of Babe taking a long catnip during it.

I generally don't go near the toilet, but Small and Big explains that there is more to toilet training than we think. They offer a simple solution to kitty potty problems that humans will find amusing, and easy to implement.

Back at This, that and the other thing we find out that four footed family members are not fat...just fluffy. But seriously, pet obesity has become as much of a concern as human obesity has in posing health risks. So they also talk about 20 minutes of exercise, twice a day. Time to start sweating to the oldies...

One of my favorite forms of exercise is getting a good catnip workout, but that's not what Cato for President is talking about when he tells us about Gettin' High. Well, aerial aerobics is another one my favorite ways to get exercise as well.

Luna shows off her House Panther layout, but this weekend CaySynth.com is celebrating cats both domestic and wild.

cat in the box

Another long post from sisu is perhaps more on topic, at least briefly. Animals of course have long been able to resolve things on thier own, and we don't need lawyers and a court system either.

Fifteen cats who resolve things with their human artists reside at Artsy Catsy where Fracas shows us yoga postures of the heir apparent. Humm...and not a Turkey Cat anywhere in those photos...

Is there a better way for a human to start out a Sunday morning than with a cup of coffee, watching cats at play? This, That & the Other Thing does not think so. See...no need for a cat whisperer, they worked things out on their own!

Stranger Ranger has spotted a sign of spring - or is it the approaching apocalypse? Myself, I have been noticing signs of summer - or the blast furnace yet to come - while I was spending some time in the front yard this morning.

Things are easy like Sunday morning over at Jimmy Joe's Pad, he's been seeing birdies and smelling adventure outside as well.

Over at Furry Paws, a pair of Brooklyn Cats discover the joys of cuddling with a floofyhead as "Bunny Bunny is One of Us".

Storm, The Furry Fighter had the World's Most Beautiful Siamese done to her again and it seems to have done the trick, but she is still feeling not quite herself. Stop by and offer some encouragement.

Pepper, Queen of Cheetahs, purrs about the 10 friendliest, and least friendliest, breeds of cats. She has a new blogspot address as well, having moved over from Xanga.

China Cat

China Cat is taking it easy in the window this morning, and thinks about strollering. I must admit to being happy to live in an area where I get to go outside and can do so with relative safety.

Meanwhile Willow Cat is taking it easy on the porch. Perhaps the Willow cats are tired out from too much fun at the carnival? I know I am!

Well, that about wraps it up! Thank you so much for joining us for Carnival the Cats here at House Panthers!

If I have missed your submission, please let me know and I will add it!
