Maya on Thursday: Purrs for Cleo

Hi everyone,it's Maya here.

 

 Just this past weekend,my mommy and daddy gave me

the great news that Cleo (who is my bestest furriend in the whole world)

was going to live with us forever,and be my sissy.

I was so happy and excited,and mommy even bought us

each a new collar,which makes us both look even

prettier than usual.

But on Monday,something horrible happened.Cleo and I are

allowed outside whenever we want,and on Monday,Cleo got

really hurt.

We don't know if she was bumped by a car,or if she

fell from the roof,or if maybe some evil person kicked her,

but she is in lots of pain,and can't walk that well.

Also,she doesn't want to really eat or drink anything,although

I know it must be real tough to eat 

when everything is so sore right now.

The vet said we should keep an eye on her,and give her her pills

every day,but we are worried about her not eating.

Do you guys have any ideas what we can give her to eat or drink?

Maya on Tuesday: Staying cool

You see that fan in the background of my first picture?It's broken!Can you believe that?!

It's hot,hot,hot summer right now,and what else can a girl do,except lie around on

the cool tiles,while mommy and daddy try to cool off under our other fan.

Note from Mommy: Don't let these pics fool you,Maya is definitely not scared of the heat,and still spends most of her

time running around outside,and sleeping under the plants in the garden.Also,she and Cleo and Ogies

have been on a hunting spree,killing 2 mice in the last 2 days.Don't know which one

of the 3 is the culprit,but I'm guessing it was a team effort ;)

Maya on Tuesday:Christmas with friends and family!

My mommy and daddy are going away for a few days next week,but before that,we still are going to celebrate Christmas together.Yay!

December 17th was my Gotcha-day,but since it's so nice and warm these days,and I'm very much an outside type of kitty,my mommy hardly even got to see me.She was not happy,I can tell you that.

You know what's the best thing about this Christmas?My kitty-grandma and my bestest friend,Cleo,are both staying with us for Christmas!I was a bit upset about having other kitties take over my house,but I've gotten to really like having them around.They are both cuddlers,and keep my mommy occupied while I get on with the more important things,like running around crazy,hunting leaves and crickets,and climbing trees.Cleo especially hardly ever leaves the apartment - she can be such a suck-up!

Mommy says I am all eyes.

I wonder why?

Maya on Thursday:Cleo is back!

A girl can't even watch some TV,

without being bothered.

  But I don't mind.

House Panther Maya's Bestest Friend Cleo went missing last weekend. Today, Maya's Mommy Penny writes "Everybuddy!You guys must've purred very hard, because they found Cleo, safe and sound. Someone had picked her up in the street, thinking she was homeless, and took her home. But when her mommy started asking around the neighborhood, the people brought her back.
You guys are the best!Thank so much for all your purrs!"
Yay! We're so happy that Cleo is home safe and sound, and hope lots more pictures of Maya and Cleo playing together are coming! We ♥ ya, Cleo!

Maya on Wednesday Introducing my bcf, Cleo

Hi efurrybody! I didn't get on the compooter on Friday, so here I am today.  Aren't you happy? I had a really fun weekend, with lots of eating and playing.  Especially with Cleo, my bestest cat friend.

She lives right next door with her mommy, and is only about a month littler than me. We can get a little rough, but we really like spending time together.  In the mornings she comes and scratches on my mommy and daddy's door so she can come in to play. Then we turn the place upside down.  Yay!

Mommy's apartment is very small, so the extra mattress stands against a wall. Which makes it a fun place to play. Here is my buddy Cleo, enjoying the view.

Cleo is littler than me, so she jumps on higher things, so she can whap me from above. Very smart.

We can get rough, but then we kiss and play nice again.

Cleo tries to do the hidey from me, but she's too white, she can't hide as well as I do!

First she hides from me, and now she looks for me.  I'm a good night fight kitty, cos my pantherness means I can hide in the dark really well.  Cleo is like a spook,  you see her easily!

Remember fellow panthers, just cos a kitty isn't so lucky to be all black like we are, doesn't mean they aren't fun. So play nice efurrybody!

Don't I have purrty eyes?

Morning everyone!

My name is Maya,and I'm a 4 and a half month old mini-House Panther.I saw this wonderful blog,and just knew immediately I want to be a part of it.Very few other kittehs know how awesome it is to be a House Panther,and it's about time we all showed them.But my mommy,Penny,said I should tell you more about myself first,so you can get to know me.

My mommy says I look like a doggy begging for a treat.AS IF Mommy!I'm no doggy,I'm much better ~ I'm a House Panther

Having fun with my Grandma J's baskets,just like Little Red Riding Hood.My Grandma J always brings very yummy treats in these baskets

My mommy doesn't know precisely which day I was borned,because my kitteh mom was very wild,and had me and my brother and sisters inside the roof of their apartment.But my daddy's birthday is November 19,and mommy reckons mine must be around there,so we both decided that would be my birthday.My mommy says I'm a gift from her daddy who went to the people's rainbow bridge in 2007,because she founded me on the one year anniversary that her daddy left.She is very happy I came to live with her and daddy.

Enough with the saddies,my mommy can be a big 'ol crybaby sometimes.I think I should tell you all what I likes to do for fun,because I love fun.We live in a very small apartment,but that doesn't stop me,because there is a window where I can jump out and climb this tree in our front yard,which is lotsa fun,except my daddy had to climb up and get me the first time I did it,cos I kinda went too high.Oopsie.My daddy made me my own scratching post,and I jump all over it when I'm inside,and not wanting to get myself dirrty.When I go in the backyard,there's always a friend to play with,because my kitteh grandma and auntie live right next door.My kitteh grandma is a Siamese cat,and my kitteh mommy was a Calico cat,so my mommy doesn't really know where I got my pantherness from,but she thinks I was very lucky to come out all black.

Being naughty.I can't resist an open cupboard,there's lotsa fun stuff to whap in there.I've been locked inside the cupboards a few times,because I do the hidey very well,especially when it's a little dark,then mommy can't see me at all

Well,that's just a little about me,Maya,but I'm going to come every Friday and show you guys some more about me,because my mommy says I'm getting naughtier and naughtier as I'm growing up,so I'm sure I'll have lotsa good stories to tell you.
