Crafty Storage - Some great tips for scraproom storage

While doing some blog hoopin' some days ago, I came over this fabulous blog, written by Paula Pascual. The blog is called CRAFTY STORAGE. Paula loves paper crafting and any good storage tips. So on her blog she shows you clever storage tips she has found searching the web. She has labeled all her storage tips, so if you want to see tips on how to store your rubber stamps, just scroll down on the right sidebar and click on the label. She also has gathered some great links to places you can buy storage.
I just LOVE this blog and can sit for hours just looking at others' craft rooms!
Thank you Paula ;)

Glimmer Mist Swatch Book

At fall 2008 I bought my first bottle of Glimmer Mist. Since then I've been hooked on them and I've bought more and more colours. I love using them on Mulberry flowers, laces, ribbons, tags etc. I've also used them to make my own background papers. See TUTORIAL here.
So to keep contorl of what colours I have, I decided to make a swatch book.
I used a QK Revolution tag die and cut out tags in watercolour paper. I also used white Mulberry flowers. The tags I sprayed lightly with the mists, and the flowers I sprayed more. So then I can see the colours both in sof t and strong tints. I used Glue Dots to fasten the flowers to the tags and decorated with a black blogn flower. The tags were put together by using a 7Gypsies Binding Ring. At the end I wrote the names of the different colours on the tags.
So now I use these tags often when I make cards. It is so easy holding the tags next to my card and see what colours matches. And I also know exactly which colours I have;)

Her ser du hvordan hver farge vises i både sterk(blomst) og svak(tag) versjon.
Here you see how the colours are shown both in the soft and the strong tint.

A Christmas card and ribbon storage tip + Turid Mari's blog candy

Here is a Christmas card I made with no stamped images. This lovely vintage image is a Stickeroo sticker from Penny Black. All papers and cardstock are Stampin Up. The white panel is dry embossed with my Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder. "Best Wishes" sentiment is from Stampin Up, and so is the curly tab punch I used on it. The other sentoment is from Ladybug and Friends. I decorated with some felt flowers from SU and a felt heart from Papirgleder.

Next I want to show you how I store all my ribbons. This is just the smalll bits and pices that are not on spools. I saw this on another blog a long time ago, but I can't remember who's it was. Finally I got hold on some old vintage wooden dolly pegs. So I wrapped my ribbons around them. I store them in these fabric baskets. To make sure the ribbons stay on the dolly pegs, I used some pins to fasten them. I'm still not finished wrapping all my ribbons around these, but in the pictures you can see the result so far.
And make sure to visit Turid Mari! She offers some amazing blog candy. And take a good look at her cards. She is a new designer for Magnolia and her cards are adorable.

Have a lovely Saturday everyone;)
