Easter Cards

Hello crafty friends!
Since Easter is just around the corner, I thought
I'd show you the simple cards I made for my
grandkids last year.
I sketched out the shape of a "Peep" and
cut it with a fold at the top of the ears.
I used glitter paper to imitate the sugar on
the Peeps.
I mounted the Peeps onto a base and
to open it, the Peep lifts up and I
stamped a sentiment inside.
I don't know why I don't have a picture of
the card open, but hopefully, you get the idea.
These were quick and easy cards to make
and the kids loved them.

Thanks for stopping by today,
I hope you have been inspired in some way.
Come again soon,
until then
make something unexpected.

Easter Cards

Hello and happy spring!
With spring comes Easter
Easter isn't for another month, but if you're making
cards, now is the time to give them a little thought.
Here are a couple Easter cards that I'd like to share
with you.
I made this card for my sweet great niece and
Goddaughter.  The egg was cut from a piece of
paper that I colored with my Granddaughter, Marie.
We used food coloring and shaving cream, swirled it
a bit then laid the card stock on the shaving cream.
Once you wipe off the shaving cream you have a
lovely, marbled look.
We had a lot of fun doing this.
The bunny was hand drawn and cut from another piece
of the hand colored paper.
Here's a closer picture of my sweet little
bunny.
This bunny and eggs were also made from the
same type of paper as the card above.
I printed the sentiment inside with my
ink jet printer before adding the front panel.
This card was made for my great nephew.
I love to try to make him laugh with
my cards.

Thanks for stopping in today for a visit,
I hope you are having beautiful spring weather
where ever you are.
Come again soon,
until then,
get started on those Easter cards.

Kids Easter Cards

Hi all!
I know it's way past Easter, but I wanted to share these
2 cards that I made for a couple of my greats.
If you have been checking in, you know
that I had all my cards made and ready to go,
but they didn't get sent,
but these 2 did.  They arrived the day after Easter,
but the kids loved them anyway.

For Anthony, I made this card.
I cut out 2 rabbits that I had files for on my Silhouette, Cameo
and altered them for the card.
I received a message from my niece that Anthony
said it was the funniest card yet.
I was so pleased that he liked it.

For Andrea, who is my unicorn lover,
I made this "bunnycorn" as she called it.
I used my Silhouette to cut the pieces and
drew the face on with black marker.
The horn was made with gold glitter card stock.
She loved her bunycorn card.

Thanks for stopping in today, I hope you have enjoyed
your visit and will come again soon.
Until next time,
happy crafting.

Easter Cards, A Design For Any Occasion

Hello Blog friends!
You know how they  say, the best laid plans often go awry?
Well that's what happened with my Easter cards.
I had my cards made over a month in advance,
but then my Aunt Marilyn got pneumonia and I had to go
to North Carolina.  I ended up being there for 3 weeks and
then when I got back it was only a couple days before
Easter, so the cards never got sent.
I guess I can figure that I'm all ready for next year.

The cards all had the same design, stamps and embossing,
the panel that they were made with were each a little different.
All from the same paper, but different areas of it.
The leaf stamp is from
Dyan Reaveley Further Around The Edge
Stamp Set
The Happy Easter is a stamp I borrowed from a friend.
I stamped with VersaMark Ink and
heat embossed with
Purple Zing Embossing Powder.
This design could easily be used for any
occasion, just change the sentiment and you'll be
all set.
Thanks for stopping by today,
I hope you are having a wonderful spring
and will come again soon.

Somebunny Loves You

Hi All!
I'm here with a couple more Easter cards for you.
These cards could actually be used in other ways,
by just putting a different sentiment inside.
I think they'd make great encouragement cards.
I stamped "Daydreaming Bunny" onto white card stock
and colored him with colored pencils, then fussy cut him.
I adhered him to the card front with an Action Wobble.
The background papers are from my scrap stash.
Here is my other one, done with different colors and
papers. The sentiment is "Some bunny"
Inside I stamped a simple Happy Easter.
Both cards are a kraft card stock base.

I hope these cards bring a smile to those who receive them.
Hope you like them too,
thanks for stopping in today.
See you again soon,
until then,
don't eat too much chocolate!

Cross with Flowers

Hello Everyone!
Here are a couple more Easter cards I made.
These are both one layer cards.
I stamped
onto white card stock and colored them
with colored pencils.
I did color the background very lightly with
blue as the white was a little to stark.
This toned it down just the right amount.
They were simply adhered to a blue card base
and Happy Easter was stamped inside.

Thanks for stopping in today,
I hope you've been enjoying this
Easter card series.
Until next time,
color something beautiful.

Dorky Bird

Hi crafty friends!
Back again with a couple Easter cards.
These cards are a little different than the
average Easter card.
I guess the only thing that makes them
Easter is the inside.
I love this Dorky Bird and thought it would
be cute to use for Easter cards.
I stamped, colored and fussy cut it, then
adhered it to the card with an Action Wobble
I think the Action Wobble makes it look like she is
waving.
The background papers are from my scrap stash.
Inside I added a panel that I stamped and colored.
I used Happy Easter and simply colored them
different for each card.

Now just to get them addressed and sent out.
Thanks for popping in,
I hope you're getting ready for Easter,
I know I am.
Until next time,
keep calm and carry on.

Little Bunny

Hello!  Welcome back.
Easter is almost here and I'm showing y'all
some of the cards I made.  Guess I better get them
ready to send out, eh?
Today I'm showing you 3 cards of the same
design.
I had stamped and colored these little bunnies,
then couldn't decide what to do with them.
They seemed much too small to just put on the
front of a card.
Then I came up with the idea of putting them on
a small folded piece and adding that to a larger
background piece.
Inside the small "cards" I simply stamped
"Happy Easter"
I love this Easter greeting, I don't know what
company this is from, I got it in a set that was on
clearance, because it had no outer package and one
greeting was missing.
I decided the background of the "little card" needed
something, so I used a small stamp and
added some flowers to the background.
That was just the right addition to finish it off.
All the backgrounds were from my stash
and were all done on watercolor paper
and water colors of one kind or another.
Here's a close up of this last card,
I used a different little flower stamp for this one.
All the bunnies were colored with colored pencils
and then fussy cut.  They were adhered with foam tape to
the little card and it was adhered to the background with
ATG tape.
Thanks for stopping by today,
I hope you'll come again soon.
Until then,
think outside the box and try something
a little different.

3 More Cards

Greetings fellow crafters!
Today I have the last 3 of the Easter cards
that I made.
For this card I used
Eureka Stamps
I stamped it with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink
and colored it with colored pencils.
I used Distress Ink to add a little color around the
image.
I inked the background for this card with
Distress Inks and stamped the grass with
from Biblical Impressions.
I cut strips of brown card stock to make the basket.
I wove the strips then used ATG Tape to adhere it to
a piece of card stock.  I then trimmed it into the basket
shape.
The eggs were stamped, colored and fussy cut, then adhered
with Mini Glue Dots to the card.
My last card is a shaker card.
I stamped the Happy Easter onto the card base,
then added the shaker window over it.

Thanks for stopping by today,
I hope you've been inspired in some way.
Until next time:
Enjoy being creative!

Easter Blessings

Hello all!
Today I have a few more Easter cards to show you.
I don't know what companies these stamps
are from, I borrowed them from a friend
and have no clue.
Sorry.
I stamped this bunny onto Kraft card stock and colored
it with colored pencils.  I trimmed it down and
mounted it onto the same paper the sentiment
is stamped on, then onto white card stock.
All stamping was done with
These 2 cards are made with the same papers, but
from different sections of the paper.
I'm not sure if I like the one with the ribbon better
or the one with out.
I do think they both turned out very nice though.

I'm glad you stopped by and I hope you've
been inspired in some way.
Have you started on your Easter cards?
