Leannes House, etc

Sorry I haven't been posting for a while, but I have been away. My husband and I was invited to a wedding last week-end, so we put the whole familiy, which means our 18 year old son, our 15 and 7 year old daughters and ourselves into my little Golf and drove away! We have two cars, but for the moment my car is the biggest one, when it comes to luggage! It was not much space, but we survived, almost!
The wedding was beautiful, so was the bride and the groom. I'm not showing you any pics, because I haven't asked for permission!
This little purse is made by my oldest daughter. She has not been very interested in sewing, but last week she came and asked for help. She wanted to make a little purse for her jewellerys? when she is travelling, so she found the fabrics her grandmother bought for her in the US a couple of years ago. So here is the result, with a little help from her mother! Isn't it cute? As you can see, I have finished two more blocks for Leannes House BOM. This is block #3.
And here you can see block #6. They are both ready to be stitched.
I just wanted to show you a photo of some flowers from my garden. The colours are just beautiful.
This is the view from my patio right outside my livingroom. I think it is wonderful! Sorry, but when the photo was taken, there was no sun! Just like most of the days this summer:(
Have a nice stitching and sewingday.
PS. I haven't been able to put in any links on my blog, because I haven't figured out how to do it yet! But I hope I can find out how to! DS

Leanne Beasley

Like many others, yes I have switched from norwegian to english, at least I will try to write in english, so wish me luck, because I am not so very good at this! Where was I? Yes, like many others, I am hooked on Leanne Beasleys design, and like many others, I've been working on her Leannes House, BOM quilt, for a while (read long time!). Now I have a reason, a very good reason I should say, to finish the quilt, because I am among those lucky ones who are going to join one of her classes in Norway in october! I am going with a good friend, and we are both looking forward to this! It will take us many hours in the car to get there, but who cares when you are getting a lot of fun!

This is how far I have come with my quilt. I have block no.3 finshed, and block no.6 ready to be sewn together, before I can put them together with these other blocks. Seems like I have a long way to go! Wish me luck! I can need it!This is a photo of a quilt I made from a pattern in her last book, "Romancing the roadtrip". It was a very fast and fun quilt to make.
