Teaching a class

I think I told you in a previous post that I was teaching a class. Well, now we are done! We have spend two tuesday nights together at Kreativ Quilt, making this! They had two options of what they could make. Either a tablerunner or a toilet-bag. I showed you the toilet-bag in a previous post. We used the block from this pattern by Jan Mullen. I made this tablerunner for myself. As you can see it is not finished yet, but it will be! It is so fun to see the results from a class like this. We all have the same starting point, and the results are so different! A beautiful tablerunner in red and white with a little hint of gold for christmas
A great runner in beautiful fall colors!
Oop, lost some beads on the floor! They seems to be hiding everywhere! White stars or snowcrystals on a blue background. Very cool and "winterly"! Beautiful!
Potholders for christmas.

The front of a new toilet bag. Great colours!
Another toilet bag under construction!
Happy ladies with their finished and almost finished projects! They look great!
Tablerunners! They need some quilting and binding and then they are finished.
It is fun to teach a class, and a lot of work! I guess a lot of you ladies out there know that! I haven't done this for a long, long time, so it was like a new experience! A good one! And the ladies were nice to me! Thank you , ladies!
By the way, the "lady" at the very left in the photo, hmhm yes, happends to be me! Oh no, erase me , please!

Sewing part II

I won't keep you in suspence any longer! This is what I have made of some of the blocks I showed you earlier. The four green blocks became coasters. The flowers looks like white poinsettas, don't they? If you don't think so, please use your imagination and think they are! I am thinking christmas here! One of the blue and brown blocks turned in to this make-up purse or toilet-bag. I am very pleased with the result!
Did I hear some one asking about the rest of the blocks? Sorry ladies, you have to wait......again!
I got these two patterns in the mail today! I ordered them yesterday, and got them today! That was quick! I've wanted these patterns since I saw them here a long time ago! I don't have time to start making them yet! But I have them!
I wish you all a nice week-end!

Daisiez

Every second year my quilting quild has an exhibition. And during that exhibition we always have a lottery. The main price use to be a quilt made by all the guildmembers. Our next exhibition will be in the fall next year, and we have allready started working on the quilt. All the members are supposed to make two blocks, using autumn colours. The blocks are 20cm x 20cm (8" x 8"). I have finally finished my two blocks. I've used a pattern made by Jan Mullen named Crazy Daisiez. Very fast and easy to make, and quite fun!
It will be fun to see the quilt finished!
