And yes,
it’s about time!
This is The Hurtigruten Bag, specially designed by Leanne Beasley for those of us
who joined her class on Hurtigruten, back in
october 2009.
The stitching took some time, and when you add
some high sea with heavy waves and seasickness…
…you get the picture?
It’s not perfect, I could fix it here and there, but I don’t want to, I’ll leave it as it is, because of the special occasion!
The bag was nearly finished when we left the ship, but nearly finished isn’t completely finished!
I didn’t have time to finish the bag before I went on vacation,
so it’s been hidden in a bag since then.
Until I picked it up and finished it, and made a zippered
pouch from the leftovers fabrics, a couple weeks ago!
About the fabrics…
…in the welcome basket we got on Hurtigruten, Siw so generously had added fabrics for the bag.
When I went to a quilt-shop in Florida I found the same fabric Leanne used in her bag…
…so I came home with enough fabric for Anita and me to
make our special bags!
Since I nearly finished one bag on the ship,
and actually made a new one at home,
I still have one unfinished bag!
Oh dear, I thought I had been soooo good!
Thank you for taking the time and have a wonderful week!
May Kristin
