We Have a Finish!

Some of you may remember this photo... ...and this photo from this post...
Well, now it's finally finished!

I sent it away to have it machine-quilted, but I didn't want it to be too heavy quilted. I wanted a soft, cozy quilt, so
the backing is a thick, soft flannel. It is lovely to curl up under!
I am very pleased with how it turned out!

Take care!

Stitcher's Angel

First of all, I want to say thank you, to all of you who has been so kind and left comments on my latest posts!
I am very sorry I've been such a bad replier.
I know how nice it is to get an e-mail back from the blog-owner. You must know that I really appreciate you comments, and I love to read them. Some of the reasons for my bad responses, is that I am still struggeling to find
a nice pattern of daily life during the week, when my husband is away, and with only my little princess and me at home!
But I will still try to work it out, and I will try to improve myself!

A few days ago, I found this envelope in my mail-box!
It was the gifts from my Stitching Angel!
I knew it was on it's way, because she had e-mailed me to tell me it was coming!
How exciting!

It came all the way from Fanni in Hungary!
Look at those beautiful stamps! I've never seen stamps like that before!
Inside I found two smaller parcels, a brochure from Budapest, the capitol of Hungary, and a lot of lovely postcards she collected from different places in Hungary during her vacation!

And look what I found inside the parcels!

This cute little bag for My Favorite Buttons...

...this lovely needlecase...

...and this gorgeous little pincushion! Thank you, Fanni! I love it all!
I think she did a wonderful job, and I've learned from reading her blog, that she is quite
busy with her university studies!

This is my Stitching Angel gift for Mary Grace.
It travelled all the way across the ocean to USA! And she liked it! If you would like to visit her blog, you will see more photos, and they are much better than mine!

Now, you may be wondering what this is...? Well, you can still wonder, I won't tell you!

Not yet!

Thank you for your visit!
Take care!

Quiltshow in Kristiansand part 2

Are you ready for more?? Well, here it comes!

Another HEAVY photopost!

People who came to the show,
could also buy different things made by some of the guild members.

Two ladies ready for the show and probably some shopping...

Downstairs by the entrance, four quiltshops had moved almost their whole shop to the fortress

for the week-end!

Kreativ Quilt...

Lydia Quiltshop
Wiki sømsenter and Creoline...
I have a feeling that many ladies went home with less money in their purses...

... but got richer on fabrics, patterns, notions, and at last but not least...

...inspiration!

The members of the guild did a great job in preparing this show, and worked realy hard during the whole event. The visitors were able to enjoy lovely quilts, shopping, and they could relax with a cup of coffee and some lovely homemade cakes and lovely norwegian waffles!
Hope you enjoyed the second tour!
I'll leave you with this beautiful little wallquilt!
Take care everyone!

Quiltshow in Kristiansand part 1

WARNING!
Be prepared for a HEAVY photopost!
This week-end, my quilting guild is having a quiltshow in Kristiansand.
We try to do this in october every second fall. Each guildmemeber can bring things to show that she has made over the past two years.
You will see big quilts, small quilts, wallhangings, clothing, bags, purses, pillows, tabletoppers, well, all kinds of both useful and not so useful things!
Enjoy the tour!
The quiltshow take place at Christiansholm Festning, which is an old fortress, finished back in 1672.

I've heard there's a little story behind the quilt below.
The lady who made this quilt, used many of her late husbands old shirts.
I think the quilt is so beautiful!

The quilt below, is made by the members.
Last fall we had to bring two blocks each for this quilt. It has been put together during our guild meetings, and are now the big price in the lottery! Hope I'm
the lucky winner!

Well, that's all for now!
There's more to come, so please stay tuned!
(If you are not too tired after this tour! LOL)
Take care!
