Happy Valentine's Day!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful day!  My Valentine's Day was tainted a bit because my boyfriend had to have an emergency root canal.  I told him he can make it up to me this weekend, lol.  In the meantime, I am obssessed with Lettering Delights lately.  Here is a printable set I bought last week called Dinomite Valentine Cards.  They are so cute, and I chose one to give to each of my nieces and nephews.
Secondly, here is the card I made for my honey for today.  This is also an LD set, called Stuck on You.  I got the SVG set, but with that comes a PDF, so I decided to do a print and cut for this card.  I also printed extra peanuts and strawberries to add some dimension to the "jars".  The paper is from K&Co Valentine double sided stack, and I printed out a nice saying for the inside.  Thanks for visiting today!

Heart shaped V-day card

Well, I think it's time to start Valentine's projects in earnest, so here I go.  This is a card I made from the heart cut on Simply Charmed, and I flipped and welded two to make the card.  I then used a piece of loose paper from Michaels to cut the top layer from the same cut (I think it was layer 3), and added the dimension with the white jelly roll pen, since welding in the Gypsy causes you to lose all inner detail of the cuts (grrr).  The inside heart is also from Simply Charmed, and the stamp on the inside is from a Recollections clear set that I got at Michaels.  I chose these colors because I have teen and tween male nephews, and figured this could be a card for a boy at "that" age.  LOL.

I can't believe how little I have to say about this, because it was just that easy. Hmmm...I wonder if that means I should do more to it. Too simple, maybe????  Thanks for visiting today.

Valentine Monkey

This card was inspired by a gift my nephew gave my Mom last year for Valentine's day.  It was a red monkey that, when you press his hand, says, "Me bananas for you."  So I decided to make this for my Mom to give to him this year.  I embossed the body with the Hearts Cuttlebug folder, and the monkey and sentiment are from Sweethearts.  However, you can't see the best part of this card, which is the fact that I made an action wobble for this little guy, so that he swings back and forth.  It's so much fun, and I followed the tutorial here in order to make my own.  Maybe I will try to get a video of this wobbling and see how it turns out for posting.

On the inside, I put a rectangle on the mat in the Gypsy, then threw on a few of the heart XO cuts from Sweethearts.  I decided to take the inner portions of the O and the heart  in order to finish it off properly.  It didn't look right with them empty!  The paper is a loose pattern from Michael's, and the ribbon is also from M's.  I highly recommend checking out this video by the Paper Boutique for the wobbler instructions - I LOVE this.  I got the 26 gauge wire from the bead aisle in Michael's, if anyone is interested in trying it themselves.  Thanks for visiting today!

Blizzard cabin fever!!!

Ok, so once again we are in the midst of a blizzard - for anyone who is counting. that's the second in four days.  So I took the opportunity to make a card with the limited scrap supplies I have at my boyfriend's place.  Piglet was from a file by Stacy, and you can find her amazing stuff at http://www.stackyscraps.com/.  The sweet treat cups, of course, are from Stampin' Up, and the paper and ribbon are from Michael's.  This is pretty simple and plain, but like I said, I don't have access to my full array of supplies right now, so this will have to do.  Thanks for visiting!

Pooh bear sweet treat

I am just loving these sweet treat sweetheart cups!  This time, I cut Pooh from a dingbat file using Make the Cut, and filled the heart with red hots.  I also love this background paper from Michael's.  Thanks for visiting!

Hello Kitty!

I love Hello Kitty, even though my nieces are too old for her.  I used the Hello Kitty Greetings cart for this, and the Stampin' Up! full heart punch and sweet treat cups for the cut out balloon.  The additional hearts are just cast-offs from the punch, with a couple of stickers from Michael's.

Love, Philly style

For those of you familiar with Philadelphia, this was my attempt at using the sweet treat cups to pay homage to the statue in Love Park.  The "O" in that statue is slightly askew, so I used the cut from Home Accents, snipped off the heart, and turned it slightly.  Probably could have turned it even more, but for a first shot, I guess it's OK.  Also, it doesn't show up well, but I embossed the pink layer with the new Cuttlebug hearts folder.  Thanks for visiting!

"Bee Mine" sweet treat card

Here is an experimental  card - I'm not real sure about the bottom part, but I am really into this technique right now, so more to follow.  The bee image was from the Make the Cut! gallery (see links for info), and the sweet treat cups are from the Stampin' Up Occasions mini.  Hope you enjoy my first official post!
