This crochet bumblebee is 23 cm (9 inches) when finished. I have made bigger toys in my life, but this one seems huge :) It’s definitely the largest bee I have ever seen, and the cutest too. It was very fun and easy spring project.

Man-eating plants in my home
I recently moved and wanted to make something special for my new home and myself, this bouquet is the effect of my work. I placed it in the hallway, so everyone who enters my house can see what a twisted freaky nerdy crochet lover is leaving here :) If you too feel a bit nerdy or freaky this project is made just for you!

Each plant in my bouquet is more or less 30 cm long (11.8 inches) I couldn't take proper measures because they bite :) One of them even ate the gnome :)

Potted plant decoration - Monarch Butterfly
I don't know how long I have waited to write this post. There was always something else to do and the butterfly, which is pinned to the flower in my bedroom, was looking at me with silent accusation. So ok butterfly! I am writing! Are You happy?!
The monarch butterfly is the last in my series of potted plant decoration. I made my butterfly monarch so he is orange but I would love to see it in a different color. Butterfly's are easy this way that You can make them any color You like that will fit Your room or Your plant or anything else and it's still ok.
Materials:
- black, orange, white yarn ( I use the yarn which gauge is 24.0 to 30.0 sts = 4 inches )
- hook 3 mm
- white sheet of foam (mine is 1 mm thick) for eyes
- 2 black beads ( 4 mm would be best)
- clothes pin - the best would be the smaller version - 3 cm
- hot glue gun
- cotton or something else You will use as filament

Potted plant decoration - Flowerman
Flowerman - As always, he is not the cutest or the prettiest one, but certainly my favorite! He is so weirdly cute that he makes me smile every time I look at him. He reminds me of some old RPG games, where he would be one of the easiest, lame enemies You fight when You are level 1 :)
Materials:
- yellow, green, blue or pink yarn ( I use the yarn which gauge is 24.0 to 30.0 sts = 4 inches )
- hook 3 mm
- white sheet of foam (mine is 1 mm thick) for eyes
- 2 black beads ( 4 mm would be best)
- clothes pin - the best would be the smaller version - 3 cm
- hot glue gun
- cotton or something else You will use as filament

Egg Cozies Easter Project - Flower
Those spring, colorful crochet flowers looks great as a decoration not only for Easter table. I would love to see the whole set of them all in different colors to cozy a dozen of eggs.
I strongly recommend this pattern for everyone who is starting to learn crocheting. All You need is a crochet hook (3 mm) and few colors of yarn, 3 at least green, yellow and one other color for petals
( I use the yarn which gauge is 24.0 to 30.0 sts = 4 inches if You would like to know more please write me a message and I will tell You the exact yarn I use)
Back to pattern It's really easy to follow, very fast to make all the parts for flower plus it's not that much sewing which is important for the starting projects in which You don't have so much experience.
Abbreviation You will need to know to follow this pattern:
MR - magic ring - it's one of the most common ways to start amigurumi. It's easier to see than to write bout it so I would advise You to see how to make MR for example here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLUaywX0-WE
It's not my video I'm only providing a link cause I think it's very clear and easy to follow.
sc - single crochet
sc 3 - make 3 single crochets in next 3 chains
inc - increase, make 2 single crochets in one chain
dec - decrease, make 1 crochet from 2 chains of last round
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JcycT1YmSSM
Again I'm not the author of this video.
When You now the abbreviation You can start to make parts of Your flower ( free pattern for each part below)

Egg Cozies Easter Project - Base pattern for cozies - FREE
A simple idea for Easter gifts for family and friends - egg warmers :) or as You prefer Egg Cozies
Easter is such a wonderful time. I love this Christmas especially because of color and flowers and warmth - well that isn't so sure actually two years ago we had snow on Easter, my godson was building snow rabbits in the garden :D. But what I like about Easter most of all is all the arts and crafts that comes with it.
Since I remember we were painting Easter eggs, for almost 10 years now me and my husband are competing whose eggs will be the best. I need to say my always won cause they were much more commercially friendly for the whole family to vote :) They were filled with cute chickens and bunny's while my husband painted hell hounds and crazy rabbits and whatever his crazy imagination told him. I actually always like his creations most and it actually tough me to think both:inside and outside the box :) In other words to make simple-obvious projects and creative-crazy too.
So beside the egg painting I was also trying to figure out other Easter projects that would give vent to my creativity and christmas spirit. That's how the egg cozies project was created. I wanted to decorate eggs in some other way than painting. Firstly I was going to make one pair of cozies for my table but I couldn't decide what to make I especially wanted to make Mickey and Minnie pair but I new it wasn't very Easter-y so I ended up making a bunch of cozies for my friends and family. I made sheeps, chickens a lot of rabbits, zombie sheep and rabbit :D
It's all based on one cozies crochet base (pattern below), which is very easy to make. I suppose there can be some differences in egg sizes (mine were quite big :) so when You will be making Yours please remember to try them on before making a lot of them.
If You like make Your own cozies with my base pattern or use ones I already made I wrote down the patterns:

Mickey & Minnie
http://krawka.blogspot.com/2014/07/projekt-jajo-myszka-miki-i-mini.html
and lastly SuperRabbit and Rabbitman they are a little differently made but are very very cute. I couldn't give them to anyone and I had to keep them :)

I also wanted to add that this is such an easy project I recommend it to anyone who is learning to crochet, especially easy are flowers. Enjoy the free pattern and please don't forget to send me photos of Your creations.
And Happy Easter (if it's actually Easter when You are reading this:)
