Celebrate Card

Good morning everyone!  I hope your weekend is going nicely!

I am popping in to share a birthday card I made with the It's Your Birthday collection from Pretty Little Studio.  This collection is so cute and the card came together so quickly and easily.

I began by gluing my patterned paper to my card my base, then topped it with a vellum doily.  After that, I mounted my die cut sentiment to a strip of patterned paper and glued it down.  I covered everything with the pink star acetate and then scatted around some phrase stickers.  My finishing touch was to fussy cut a party hat from one of the cute papers and add it to the top of the first "e" in "celebrate".
Thanks for stopping in!  Have a wonderful day!

Easy Birthday Card || Pretty Little Studio

Hey everyone!  I am popping in to share a very simple birthday card I made for my mother-in-law and shared earlier today on the Pretty Little Studio blog.

Today is her birthday and all she asked for was a homemade card and pictures of Piper.  I decided to combine the two and make her a photo card:

Piper's shirt says "Mama & Sunshine & Peace & Naps & Love, but I took some painter's tape and alphas stickers so we could change it to say "Grammy" instead of "Mama".   We took a bunch of cute pictures and I then made a collage and printed it off and matted it on the cute paper from the "It's Your Birthday" collection.  Finally, I added some sentiment stickers and tags.  All-in-all, it was super simple and easy to do, but hopefully it will still make her feel special on her day!

Last Projects for Jillibean Soup

Hey guys!  I know it's been a hot minute since I've blogged.  Life is so crazy right now.  I just returned to the working world and Miss Piper is more active than ever.  Luckily, I'm finishing up my last class for grad school and if all goes well, I'll be completely done with my Master's in June.  While I am excited to have a new degree, I'm actually more excited to get my crafty time back...lol.

For now I just wanted to pop in and share my last projects as a member of the Jillibean Soup design team.  I had so much fun on that team and feel so lucky to have been able to work with them for over a year!

First, my two layouts:

And a fun, little card:

Valentine's Cards

Hi everyone!  I wanted to show you some super quick Valentine's Day cards that Piper and I made using some Pretty Little Studio products.  When I became a Mom, I knew I wanted to start some fun holiday traditions.  One of the traditions I really wanted to do was handmade Valentines for close family and friends.  And even though Piper is too young to notice or even participate, I decided to start this year.

I chose a super simple design for our Valentines, so I could quickly and easily replicate it.  We made cards for grandparents, aunts & uncles and her teachers at day care.
We started by tracing Piper's hand.  I knew I wanted to incorporate something cute and signature Piper in the cards, and I realized her hand would be perfect.  In full disclosure, I tried to do her hand prints with paint, but that was a TOTAL DISASTER, so I settled for tracing it :)

I had pre-cut and typed out the sentiments on the card, so I just glued down the hands, topped them with a cut-out sentiment and added a quick border.  I thought the beautiful With all my Heart collection was absolutely perfect for these cards.  Finally, I popped in a cute photo of her and we are also giving her teachers some chocolates and Starbucks gift cards.

I'm in love with how these came out...and I know I'm going to love seeing how small her hand was when I look back in a few years :)
