Stampin' Up! Bloomin' Love Be Mine

Hi Stamping Friends!!!

Today I have the fourth and final card from my Bloomin' Love Online Stamp Class. If you like what you see, you should join my February Online Stamp Class featuring the Starburst Sayings Bundle. Details on how to join will be at the bottom of this post.

As much as I LOVE how the Love Blossoms DSP, the Bloomin' Love stamp set and Bloomin' Heart Thinlits all coordinate together, I wanted to try and design a slightly more "manly" card. Plus, I can never let a Valentine's Day pass by without creating a card using my family's "signature colors".

My dad has been a truck driver for over 40 years. My two brothers have followed in his footsteps. Every truck they have ever driven has been painted with the exact same color scheme... Red and black.

So this card is dedicated to the three of them.

Stamps: Bloomin' Love
Ink: Basic Black
Paper: Basic Black, Real Red, Red Foil (from the Holiday Catalog)
Accessories: Bloomin' Heart Thinlits, Happy Heart EF, Large Numbers Framelits (banner), Black Satin Ribbon (retired)

Card kit includes:

1 - Basic Black card base
1 - Real Red card front
1 - Basic Black embossed card front
1 - Red Foil Bloomin' Heart cutout
1 - Real Red piece for stamping
1 - Basic Black satin ribbon
5 - Pearl jewels

Instructions:

Attach the Basic Black embossed card front onto the Real Red card front using Fast Fuse adhesive.
Attach the Real Red card front onto the Basic Black card base.
Attach the Red Foil Bloomin Heart to the Basic Black embossed card front using Dimensionals.
Add the Pearl jewels to the red foil heart.
Stamp the banner onto the Real Red piece.
Stamp the Be Mine sentiment onto the banner.
Cut out with scissors or use the banner Framelit from the Large Numbers Framelit set.
Attach the banner to the card front using Dimensionals.
Tie the black satin ribbon around the top of the card.

I wanted to create a card that would properly represent my family's "signature colors"... Simple, elegant, and classy with a touch of "manliness". I think I accomplished that. It's perfect to give to that special guy in your life. :)

Some of you have asked me if you should buy the Die Brush featured on page 19 of the Occasions Catalog. My answer is simple... YES!!!

It was so easy to remove all the teeny, tiny intricate pieces from all the Bloomin' Hearts I cut out for my card kits. It would have taken me For. Ev. Er. without it. The Die Brush is super simple to use. You just lay your cut out cardstock on the soft, spongy foam pad and gently roll the brush over the top. I say gently because with a die this delicate, you could accidentally tear your paper if you apply too much pressure. After rolling across a few times, the little pieces are loosened and easily fall out. Best 11 bucks I've spent in a long time!!

This may be the end of the Bloomin' Love Online Card Class, but it is just the beginning of my Starburst Sayings class!!!

hope you are enjoying my Bloomin' Love Online Stamp Class. Today I'm excited to announce my February online class!!

Stampin' Up! Bloomin' Love It's In The Air

Hi Stampin' Friends!!

Are you ready for another Bloomin' Love card? Well ready or not I have one for you!

Stamps: Bloomin' Love
Ink: Rose Red, Blushing Bride
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Love Blossoms DSP
Accessories: Circle Punch, Banner Triple Punch, Blushing Bride Cotton Ribbon, Rhinestone Jewels, Wooden Heart (Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit), Stamping Sponges

Card kit includes:

1 - Crumb Cake card base
1 - Whisper White card front
3 - Love Blossoms DSP banners of varying sizes
1 - Whisper White circle
4 - Rhinestone jewels
1 - Wooden heart
1 - Blushing Bride cotton ribbon

Instructions:

Stamp the "it's in the air" sentiment on the bottom right corner of the Whisper White card front using Rose Red ink. (Do this step first, BEFORE attaching the card front to the card base in case you mess up and want to stamp again on the other side.)
Attach the Whisper White card front to the Crumb Cake card base using Fast Fuse or SNAIL.
Layer and attach the three Love Blossoms banners to the Whisper White card front using SNAIL or Fast Fuse. I slightly "curled" the bottom of my banners using my bone folder so that my banners would not lay too flat.
Ink up the heart stamp using Blushing Bride ink. Using a stamping sponge, add a little bit of Rose Red ink to parts of the stamp. "Huff" (breathe slightly) on your stamp before stamping onto the Whisper White circle.
Attach the Whisper White circle to the card front using Dimensionals.
Add Rhinestone jewels to the stamped heart image.
Place the wooden heart onto the card front using Glue Dots.
Tie the Blushing Bride cotton ribbon to the top of the card.

With a different sentiment, this card could be used for a variety of occasions. Birthday. Just because. Bridal Shower. Thinking of You. Welcome Baby. Really, it's up to your imagination!!

I finally bought myself some new stamping sponges. It's been well over five years since I purchased my first ones and they are starting to wear out. Especially the ones I use often. I decided to cut my sponges in eighths. I like them a little smaller. They are easier for me to get into tiny nooks and crannies with.

After cutting them to size, I punch out a Decorative Label in the same color as the ink I plan on using for that particular sponge. In this case, it is Rose Red. Then I fold it in half and staple it to the sponge. It acts as a handle and a reminder of what color ink is on the sponge.

Stamping Sponges #101610 are on page 163 of the regular catalog. They come three in a pack for only $3.50. Such a great bargain!! Make sure you add them to your next order.

I hope you are enjoying my Bloomin' Love Online Stamp Class. Today I'm excited to announce my February online class!!

Stampin' Up Bloomin' Love Friend

Hi Stampin' Friends!!

Today I have the second card from my Bloomin' Love Bundle Online Stamp Class. Even though this is technically a Valentine set, it can used for many other occasions, such as weddings, anniversaries, and even birthdays. Today's card could easily be used as a birthday card.

Stamps: Bloomin' Love
Ink: Rose Red
Paper: Whisper White, Rose Red, Garden Green, Blushing Bride, Love Blossoms DSP
Accessories: Bloomin' Heart Thinlits, Lovely Lace EF, Word Window Punch, Blushing Bride Cotton Ribbon, Sequins (from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit)

Pssst... I decided to change the embossing folder after creating this card, so the one you get in your get is different. :)

Card kit contains:

1 - Whisper White card base
1 - Rose Red card front
1 - Whisper White embossed card front
(FYI... I changed the embossing folder for this kit. I wanted to make this card look less "valentine-y" and more "birthday-ish".)
1 - Garden Green Bloomin' Heart cut out
2 - Blushing Bride large flowers
3 - Rose Red small flowers
1 - Love Blossoms DSP strip
1 - Whisper White word window punch
1 - Blushing Bride cotton ribbon piece
10ish - Love Blossoms sequins (I didn't count very accurately. I'm sure you all got more than 10. I only used 9.)

Instructions:

Attach the embossed Whisper White piece to the Rose Red card front. I used Fast Fuse adhesive.
Attach the Rose Red card front onto the Whisper White card base.
Attach the Love Blossoms strip of paper to the left side of the Whisper White embossed card front. Again, I used Fast Fuse.
Attach the Garden Green Bloomin' Heart to the embossed card front. I used Liquid Glue.
Attach sequins to the centers of the flowers using Glue Dots.
Add flowers to the Bloomin' Heart using Dimensionals cut to size. I slightly bent the petals of my flowers up so they would not look so flat.
Stamp the Friend sentiment onto the Whisper White word window punch using Rose Red ink. Attach to bottom right corner using Dimensionals.
Add more sequins to the Bloomin' Heart using Glue Dots.
Tie the Blushing Bride ribbon to the left side of the card.

Die Cutting Tip:

If you need to die-cut more than one item, place all the dies on your Precision Base Plate cutting surface at the same time and roll through your Big Shot all at once. This will save you a TON of time!!

Stampin' Up! Bloomin' Love My Valentine

Hi Stampin' Friends!!!

I sent out my Bloomin' Love card kits for my Online Card Class participants on Saturday so I'm hoping they receive them this week and can start creating!! The Bloomin' Love Bundle caught my eye right away in the Occasions Catalog. I simply adore the lacy heart die in the Bloomin' Heart Thinlit collection. I also love everything about the Love Blossoms DSP Paper Stack. The colors. The patterns. It's all just bloomin' beautiful!!

Here is my first card...

Stamps: Bloomin' Love
Ink: Rose Red
Paper: Rose Red, Whisper White, Love Blossoms DSP, Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Scallop Punch, Circle Punch, Small Heart Punch, Blushing Bride Sequin Trim, Pearl Trim (from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit)

Here is what the kit contains:

1 - Rose Red card base
1 - Whisper White card front
2 - Love Blossoms DSP pieces (patterns may vary from the original)
1 - Blushing Bride Glimmer scallop circle
1 - Whisper White circle
1 - Whisper White strip
1 - Blushing Bride sequin trim piece
1 - Pearl Trim strand
1 - Blushing Bride Glimmer small heart

Instructions:

Attach the two Love Blossoms DSP pieces to the Whisper White card front. The smaller piece of DSP should go on the bottom. Feel free to use any pattern of the paper you prefer.
Attach the Whisper White card front onto the Rose Red card base.
Attach the length of Blushing Bride sequin trim to the DSP where the two pieces of paper meet. I used Fast Fuse adhesive to attach my trim.
Stamp the My Valentine sentiment onto the Whisper White circle using Rose Red ink.
Stamp the Love You sentiment onto the Whisper White strip using Rose Red ink. Clip the edge of the strip into a "V" shape using a scissors.
Attach the My Valentine circle onto the Blushing Bride Glimmer scallop circle using Dimensionals.
Bend the strand of pearl trim in half and attach to the under side of the scallop circle using Glue Dots.
Attach the completed scallop circle to the card front using Dimensionals.
Tuck the Love You sentiment under the scallop circle. Trim if necessary. Attach to card front with Dimensionals.
Attach the small glimmer heart to the card front using Dimesnionals.

Now your first Valentine is ready to mail!!!

I just love the colors of this card. So soft and delicate. Of course it is very girly. I do have one "manly" valentine that I created for this class, and it definitely does not use any Rose Red or Blushing Bride. :)

Krystal's Cards Goes On The Road

Hi Stamping Friends!!

I just got home yesterday from my first ever "On The Road" stamping weekend and I had a blast!! Some of you know that our family moved last July about 4 hours away from our family and friends. Moving is never easy, but the world wide web does make it easier to stay connected. By it's not easy to stamp together over the internet. Since the kids had a four day weekend I thought it would be fun to take my stamp class "on the road".

On Saturday (Valentine's Day) I had a workshop for Phyllis and my newest team member, Robin. We had four ladies join us to make cards. Here are the cards we made:

Stamps: One Tag Fits All
Paper: Real Red, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer, Stacked With Love DSP
Accessories: Note Tag Punch, Sweetheart Punch, Happy Hearts EF

Stamps: Petal Potpourri, Simply Wonderful (SAB)
Paper: Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Whisper White, Soft Suede
Accessories: Daffodil Delight Seam Binding, Scallop Circle Punch, Spring Flowers EF, Flower Medallion Punch, Decorative Label Punch

Then on Sunday I held my Petal Potpourri/Crazy About You class. I've already posted all the cards here on my blog, so here are a few quick pics of some of me very favorite stampers:

Now it's time to put away all of this weekend's supplies and start making my "Lent Challenge" cards.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Groovy Love Treat Bag

Hi Stamping Friends!!!

For all of my Groovy Love Online Class members, I included a surprise little treat in their envelopes when I mailed their card kits.

Stamps: Groovy Love
Paper: Real Red, Whisper White, Stacked with Love DSP
Accessories: Mini Treat Bag Dies, Happy Heart EF, Sweetheart punch, Rhinestone Jewels, Black Grosgrain Ribbon (retired)

Here is a few pictures of how I created my bag:

After cutting out my bag, I used the "for you" Thinlit just to position my heart Thinlt. I removed the "for you" Thinlit before I ran it through my Big Shot.

Here is the heart cut out of the front of the bag.

These are the two pieces of the mini treat bag before gluing.

After folding the scored lines with a bone folder, I used liquid glue to attach the one side of the bag to the other.

I then glued the back of the bag closed.

Lastly I glued the bottom flap up.

After letting the glue dry completely, I ran the whole bag through my Big Shot with the Happy Hearts embossing folder. Then I decorated it. I love all the extra little Thinlits that come with the Mini Treat Bag Die. The little row of hearts is from the set, as is the heart and the "for you".

I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock to fit inside and attach my Groovy Love heart so it fit perfectly inside the front heart cut out.

I had a lot of fun making these and they are super easy. Each bag uses only one sheet of card stock. Would be great for a gift card too.

I best get back to getting ready for my weekend of stamping. Hoping to take some photographs this afternoon of all the cards we will be making.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Groovy Love Calypso and Red Instructions

Hi Stamping Friends!!!

Today I am sharing the instructions for the final two cards that were included in my Groovy Love Online Stamp Class. I had a blast creating these cards and can't wait to announce my next Online Stamp Class!!

Calypso and Red Card Number One:

Kit includes:
1 Calypso Coral card base
1 Crisp Cantaloupe card front
1 Whisper White card front embossed with the Stylish Stripes EF
1 Whisper White stamping sheet
1 Stacked with Love DSP strip
1 Silver Glimmer heart
1 Whisper White banner (cut using the Bitty Banner Framelits)
1 16" piece of Real Red cotton ribbon
6 Rhinestone Jewels

Supplies needed:
Groovy Love stamp set
Sweetheart punch
Real Red ink
Basic Black ink
Adhesive
Dimensionals

With Real Red ink, stamp three different heart images from the Groovy Love stamp set and punch out with the Sweetheart punch. Stamp the "From the Heart" sentiment onto the Whisper White banner using Basic Black ink. (Remember, if you mess up your stamping on your first try, flip the banner over and try again.) Layer the Crisp Cantaloupe card front onto the Calypso Coral card base. Adhere the embossed Whisper White card front onto the Crisp Cantaloupe layer. Glue the Stacked with Love DSP strip onto the left side of the card. Using Dimensionals, attach the hearts. Glue the sentiment banner onto the Silver Glimmer heart. Adhere the Rhinestones and tie the ribbon.

Calypso and Red Card Number Two:

Kit includes:
1 Calypso Coral Label flip card base
1 Whisper White label
1 Stacked with Love DSP wide striped strip
1 Stacked with Love DSP thin strip
1 Real Red I <3 cutout="">
1 Silver Glimmer arrow
1 Silver Glimmer small heart
1 Crisp Cantaloupe small heart
1 Real Red piece of cotton ribbon

Supplies needed:
Groovy Love stamp set
Sweetheart punch
Happy Hearts embossing folder (or any other folder you have)
Adhesive
Dimensionals

Looking at the supply photo, I can see that I forgot a few things. I only included one Whisper White label and I should have sent two. (You can just skip putting one on the inside.) I did not cut the ribbon long enough to make a bow. It's only long enough to tie a knot. And... I did not include any extra Whisper White to stamp on. So hopefully you will have a little leftover from the other kits. SORRY!!!

Anywhoo... on to the instructions: Stamp the "polka dot" Groovy Love heart onto Whisper White card stock and punch out using the Sweetheart punch. Glue the thin Stacked with Love strip onto the left front of the Calypso Coral card base. Using any embossing folder you have, run just the front piece (do not emboss the flip label) through your Big Shot. This step can be omitted if you do not have any embossing folders. Glue the wide Stacked with Love strip to the left side. Glue the Whisper White label to the front of the card. Cut the Silver Glimmer arrow in half and glue to white label being careful not to let it overhang on the edges. Attach the polka dot heart over the arrow using Dimensionals. Attach Crisp Cantaloupe small heart on top of polka dot heart. Add rhinestone. Glue I<3 add="" cotton="" cut="" glimmer="" heart.="" inside="" label.="" left="" of="" out="" real="" red="" ribbon="" side.="" silver="" small="" the="" tie="" to="" u="">

I am really loving doing these Online Stamp Classes. It's so fun to design the cards and get the kits together. Plus, I like to post stuff throughout my creative process on my Facebook page so it's almost like having you all join me for the class!! Stop by on Sunday and see which stamp set I picked for February's Online Stamp Class.

(This post is not posting correctly. Sorry for the inconvenience. If you have any questions, please email me.)
