Seize the Birthday #226

Hello everyone!  I have a birthday card to share and thought I'd link it up with the Seize the Birthday challenge blog.  It's just a birthday card...I didn't use the topping of making a sunset scene.

I made this a while ago and forgot to post it.  I even sent it out to someone already!  I used another stencil set (it seems I can't get enough of them!) in several colors of coral and green.  After it was stenciled, the background looked bare so I stamped over it with a script background stamp.  The birthday sentiment was stamped and die cut and the Happy sentiment was stamped right on the panel.  I added crystals and shimmer to finish off the card.  This was matted onto a coral panel and then onto the white base.

Thanks for stopping by!

Seize the Birthday #208 - Create a Scene

Hi friends!  I have a birthday card that fits in perfectly with the new Seize the Birthday challenge...Create a Scene.

My golfing friend has a birthday coming up and I pulled out this old Gina K set called Golf Diva that I've never used before.  (I haven't checked to see if it's still available or not).  I started by die cutting a panel with a stitched rectangle and stamped the images.  I masked all of them (even the little golf ball). I took a piece of masking tape and cut it into an arch.  I stenciled the clouds using blue ink then placed the other piece of masking tape to cover up that part and blended some green ink for the grass.  I removed the masks and colored the images with copic markers.  I heat embossed the sentiment and added it with foam strips.  I finished it by spritzing the panel with shimmer.  I'm thinking my friend is going to get a kick out her golf ball making it into the hole!  LOL!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday!

I bought some new dies from Jillian Vance after watching a video by Ardyth Percy-Robb using them.  I die cut the flower and all its parts from some designer paper.  I found it in my stash, but I don't know who they are by.  I know I got them in a kit, so maybe MFT?  Not sure.  Anyway, I die cut them from these papers and layered them together.  The dotted background die was die cut from white cardstock and I layered a bright yellow cardstock behind it.  I stamped the sentiment and added some crystals.  Fun little card!

I'm entering this into the Seize the Birthday challenge.  The toppings is to use some white space.  I think it can be considered that I used white space on my card, right?

Seize the Birthday #177

Hi friends!  I'm sharing a birthday card today.  I created the floral spray a long time ago.  I had the turnabout stamp in my MISTI and went crazy with different color combos.  I think I created about 8-10 different floral sprays that day!  This was one of them, and I think one of my favorites.  I die cut it with a stitched rectangle and die cut the sentiment three times and stacked it.  It was added to the main panel and is covered with shimmer.  Crystals finished it off.  It was adhered to a navy panel then onto a white card base.

I'm entering this into the Seize the Birthday "Anything Goes" challenge.

Birthday Wish

Hi all!  I watched a GinaK for Simon Says Stamp video yesterday and was wowed!  Gina took one of the Memory Box square frame dies and paired it with her Wreath Builder sets.  It was very cool.  Here's the link to the video.

I cased her design, but changed up the set I used.  She created a square card then another to fit an A2 size card.  That is the one I did here.  The Memory Box die is a 4x4 size which is perfect for the Wreath builder stencil.  I die cut the MB die out of thicker paper and kept the pieces intact.  I adhered a slightly smaller piece of thinner white cardstock behind it to keep it in place, but also to give me a place to stamp the wreath.  Once I was done with stamping the wreath, I cut the piece in half.  Those two pieces were adhered to a mat of green cardstock.  This created an oval shape.  I adhered a piece of green and white cardstock to cover up the space in between the two pieces I cut then added the sentiment in an oval die cut.  There is some shimmer on the flowers and some crystals added as well. I thought it was such a clever idea that I had to recreate her card!

I'm linking this to the Seize the Birthday challenge.  It's an Anything Goes challenge.
