Paper Makeup Stamps Blog Hop and Release Day

Hi everyone! Are you having fun hopping? Today is the blog hop for Paper Makeup Stamps. We are showcasing the January release, which will be available today! If you've come here from the lovely and talented Tina's blog, you're on the right track. If not, I'm the last one on the hop, so go to the PMS blog and start there to get all the necessary information.

PMS has a new kit this month that was previewed yesterday. You can see what the girls did with it here on the PMS blog. It's called Mon Cheri and it's everything French! Here's a picture of what's included in the kit. There is a bunch of goodness in the kit! The stamps alone are fantastic! Here's my card using it. All the papers in the kit are so fantastic, that I didn't know which to use first! I loved the polka dots in this one and thought it would be a fun backdrop for the card. I stamped the image on white cardstock and colored it with copic markers. (I paper pieced the table cloth because I didn't like the color I used on it!) The kit comes with beads and head pins to make these fun pins. I've never used this before...I hope I did it justice! The glittery flowers are oh so pretty, too! I added stardust glitter on the wings and the Eiffel Tower to make it look like it was lit up! You can't see it in the picture, but it looks fun in person!

I also have the last letter for you to complete your secret code that is worth 15% off the new release.
Did you like what you saw on today's hop? Then hop over Paper Makeup Stamps and see all the fun stamps and other products they carry. We hope we see you at our Release Party tonight in the PMS forum at 9:00 pm EST. The girls are always very chatty and there are contests and prize giveaways!

Thanks for stopping in today! Have a great weekend!

Paper Makeup Stamps December Fan Blog Hop

Hi everyone! Today is our Paper Makeup Stamps monthly blog hop, but since we don't have a release this month (we are changing to releases every other month), we are having a special hop which includes fans of Paper Makeup Stamps! There are a lot of chances to win some PMS products with this hop! You can find all that information on the PMS blog. PMS is also having a fabulous sale (which includes free shipping)! You can find that information on the PMS blog.

If you've come here from Stephanie's blog, you are on the right track. If not, start at the PMS blog, get all the fun information, and start hopping!

The theme for this hop is winter or holiday. I've got two cards to share with you on this hop. The first one uses new stamps from our November release.I LOVE Christmas cut-out cookies with the anise flavoring, so this card made me chuckle! The gingerbread man is from the Christmas Cheer set, and the sentiment is a single one found here. I used the Mojo Monday sketch and some fab dp from Jillibean called Christmas Chestnut Soup. The poor gingerbread man is paper pieced with kraft paper. I added the white accents with a white jel pen.

I wasn't as satisfied with this card as I had thought I would be, so I decided to make another. I changed the stamps, used the same papers and ribbon, but changed the layout. This is my second try. I used one of my favorite stamps sets ever from PMS, Snow Happy. The image is colored with copic markers. The sentiment was stamped on the back side of my snowflake dp, then cut with a Spellbinder's tag. The ribbon was just knotted and the tag attached with some twine. I also sponged some Ranger white pigment ink around the tag and the dp to soften the edges a bit. I added some Star Dust stickles for some sparklely snow.

Your next stop on our hop is one of our fans, Lindsy Harness. Please show her some love and continue hopping! There's a possible prize for commenting on all the blogs! I've included a list and link to all the blog hop participants in case you get lost!

Thanks for stopping and hopping with me today! Have a great week!

Paper Makeup Stamps Release Day Blog Hop!

Today is finally here....release day for the October Paper Makeup Stamps! If you've been following along this week, you would have seen all the great new images and sentiments being peeked.

You should have arrived here from Tangii's blog and saw her fabulous new Moody for Computers girl. If not, start at the PMS blog and then hop along getting the letters you need for your phrase. This phrase will get you 15% off the entire release.

I'm showing off the hilarious Flubu monster! I just crack up whenever I see him!
I saw Katie colored him green the other day, and I thought that was the perfect color for the way he was feeling. I didn't feel like coloring large spaces again (like my card yesterday), so I paper pieced again! Love that technique! And using the Xyron machine makes piecing it super easy! I used Basic Grey's Origins paper for this SCS sketch. I added SU's ribbon and hodgepodge hardward for accents. I also put crystal effects on the thermometer. Gosh, he's so pathetic looking, isn't he? This great sentiment (love the font!) comes with Flubu, too!

Now I'm going to send you to Maria's blog. She always has great cards to share! She'll be jealous that I have the Flubu monster today (she loves the PMS monsters)! Before you go, please take the letter "I" with you. Don't forget to join us tonight for the Release Party. We start at 9:00 pm EST in the PMS forum, so please join us!

Thanks for stopping in today! Happy hopping!

Paper Makeup Stamps and Quixotic Paperie Blog Hop

Happy Monday everyone! Is that an oxymoron? Is there such a thing as a "Happy Monday"? Well, for the Paper Makeup Stamps and Quixotic Paperie DT it is! We are combining forces for the first time ever. Quixotic Paperie is the only supplier of Paper Makeup Stamps in Europe, so we thought we'd get together to show off our beautiful stamps!

I'm using two of my favorite sets: Faith Hope Love and Little Moments.I went to a class on Saturday at my LSS. The instructor was Wendy Vecchi from Ranger Industries. She taught us various techniques using Ranger distress and pigment inks. This one was one of my favorites which she called Ghosting/Faux Bleaching. I stamped this beautiful stamp in their Snow Cap white pigment ink and stamped it on the paper. I heat set it until it was dry, then used the sponge applicator to apply Spiced Marmalade and Tea Dye distress inks. The more color you apply, the better the image shows up. I did the sponging while the paper was still in the die.

The dp is Basic Grey's Ambrosia. I saw a card on Karen Giron's blog that gave me the inspiration to use up some of my scraps of this dp. I can't remember where I got those orange discs...they were sent to me when I was guesting on the Color Throwdown. The ribbon is SU's basic gray taffeta and I used the Bow Easy to create my double bow. I stamped the sentiment from Little Moments in Memento tuxedo black.

I have a list of the participants in this hop below for you to check out. Hope you are enjoying hopping with these two countries! Thanks for stopping by!

Recipe
Stamps: Faith Hope Love and Little Moments (PMS)
Paper: Neenah white, pumpkin pie, Ambrosia (Basic Grey)
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, spiced marmalade and tea dye distress inks and snow cap pigment ink (Ranger)
Accessories: Spellbinder's tag die, SU taffeta ribbon, bling (unknown), Martha Stewart border punch, dimensionals

Paper Makeup Stamps Blog Hop and Release Day

Welcome to release day for Paper Makeup Stamps! We are celebrating with a PMS DT blog hop where we are reviewing all the images and sets from the new release. You should have arrived here from Stephanie's blog. If you just happened to stop in, please go to the PMS blog and start there to get all the information you need. We are handing out letters that will spell out a secret message that will get you 15% off the entire September release.

So I'm using the new wordart and oh so cute pinwheel on my card..
I had to use the pinwheel image just so I could use the pinwheel dp from Cosmo Cricket's dp Togetherness! I just fell in love with the design and colors! I stamped the image twice, colored it with copics to match the dp and cut one out entirely. Then I cut just part of the pinwheel and layered it on the first one and added bling in the center. The wordart was colored with SU markers, stamped, and cut and embossed with a tag die. I then swirled some so saffron ink around it and added the ribbon. I love that Martha Stewart punch, too! Another very simple and quick card to create!
Now my letter for you is B and I'm going to send you to a guest filling in for Sherry Campbell who recently stepped down. Please hop over and welcome Elaine Hughes. She is the owner of England's Quixotic Paperie and is the only carrier of PMS stamps in Europe!

Remember our Release Party tonight in the PMS forum at 8:00 CST pm. We always have fun and would love for you to come party with us!

Thanks for hopping with us today!

Recipe
Stamps: Windmill and Life is Daring wordart (PMS)
Paper: PTI vintage cream, garden green, Togetherness dp (Cosmo Cricket)
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, so saffron, SU markers: black, ruby red, garden green
Copic Markers: YR21, 23,; YG17, 45; R14, 27; E33
Accessories: Shapeabilities tag die, MS punch, ribbon, star dust stickles, bling, dimensionals

PMS Release Day Hop and JUGs #45 Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone! You're getting a two-fer with this post! It is Release Day at Paper Makeup Stamps so the PMS DT are hopping the entire release today and we are partying later tonight in the PMS forum (more about that later). You should have arrived here from Dawn's blog. If not hop over to the PMS blog and get all the information there, then continue on the hop! You don't want to miss out on anything!

But today is also the Just Us Girls challenge! Today Kathryn is the hostess and she provided this great sketch for us!

So here is what I did with this sketch (which I flipped) and my NEW PMS image from the Color It Summer set.
All the girls on the PMS DT have been lovin' this set...me included! The stem on this flower is much longer, but I just chopped it off with my nestie to fit the sketch! As usual, I started by choosing my dp. I just adore these October Afternoon patterned papers. I used papers from The Thrift Shop and Fly a Kite collections. The flower is colored with copics AND prisma pencils. I just took a class at my LSS, Buffalo Stamps & Stuff, on Tuesday to learn this technique. Debbie (our instructor) uses this technique all the time and gets such a richness with both that you don't get with just copics. I used this technique on the card I did yesterday, and some commented on how rich the colors looked. Cool technique, but I still need to practice more. Anyway, I finished the card with a sentiment from PMS that was previously released called Birthday Cheer.

Before you go, I want to invite you to the PMS Release Party tonight at 8:00 pm CST in the PMS forum. We'd love to see you there! Also, stop by the JUGs blog to see the fab cards the girls have done, and please stop by their personal blogs to leave some love! They'd love to hear from you!

Now you need a letter from me. (Collect all the letters along the hop and it will spell out a code that will get you 15% off the new release!) I'll give you the letter "T" and send you on your way to Shaela. She'll no doubt have something great to share...she always does!

Hope to see you tonight and enjoy the rest of your hop!

Baby Shower Blog Hop

Please scroll down after this post to see my JUGS post!

Today we are having a virtual baby shower for our fellow Paper Makeup Stamps DT member Lisa McKinney. She is due with her second baby, another boy, any day now. So because we couldn't all get together to have an actual baby shower, this hop will have to do! If you've come from the marvelous Maria's blog, you are on the right track. If not, head on over to the PMS blog and start there.

For Lisa's card, I used one of the Paper Makeup Stamps baby Monster images that I just love. This is Baby Horatio. Isn't he so cute? I colored him with copic markers and swirled some apricot appeal ink around the background while it was still in the die. The dp is Animal Crackers by Making Memories. I added some blue ric-rac ribbon, buttons, star dust stickles, and a PTI sentiment.

I hope Lisa has a speedy delivery and a very happy, healthy baby! Congratulations, Lisa!

Now hop on over to Katie's blog to see what a great surprise she has for Lisa! Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping in!

PMS Blog Hop and Release Day!

Paper Makeup Stamps is releasing their June stamps today and we are celebrating with a blog hop. We are reviewing all the new images and sets today. If you came from Shaela's blog, you are on the right track. If not, head on over to the PMS blog so you don't miss a thing. The girls have been creating some fabulous cards with this new release, and today is no different!

I have a card using the new set called Freckled Lemonade illustrated by Shaela! I really love this set!

I love this image! I stamped it three times and colored all of the fruit on the first one, then colored only the lemons and middle strawberry, and then just the middle strawberry. They were all hand cut and layered. Here's a closeup of it. I added yellow stickles to the lemons and star dust stickles to the strawberries. The dp is Nook and Pantry from Basic Grey. Sometimes I think it's all about the dp, because I had about 3 different papers on my table before I came across this one and it all just fell into place! I used the sketch I created for the Just Us Girls sketch challenge for this week, and just flipped it.

If you've ever hopped with PMS, you'll know that you have to gather letters along the way to get the code to get you 15% off the entire release. I have two letters for you and they are "O" and "N".

Don't forget about our Release Party tonight in the PMS forum at 8:00 pm CST. There will be chatter, laughs, and giveaways. We always have a great time, so please stop by.

Now hop on over to Dawn Knight's blog to see her fabulous creation, and thanks for stopping by today! ***Some of our DT were having trouble with Blogger being down last night and today, so our hop isn't completely working. We hope to get the hop up and running soon!***

Paper Makeup Stamps Blog Hop and Release Day!

I cannot believe it's the 7th and time for another Paper Makeup Stamps release! Have you been with us the last three days? Some fun stuff going on at PMS!

Today we are hopping and sneaking the Moodys and Monsters! If you've come from Christi Thorsen's blog, you're on the right track. If not, head on over to the PMS blog and start there to get information on a 15% discount on this fab release!

I have Moody for Hiking to sneak today. I really wanted to do this Moody because this is how my hubby and I travel a lot. I wish I could say I look this good when I backpack, but alas I don't! LOL!!!

Isn't she fabulous? I knew I wanted lots of color, so I went with this Offbeat paper from Basic Grey. She looks good in these colors, don't you think? And look at that sentiment...are you lovin' the font or what? I think it's so fun!

OK, so I have to admit that I didn't know if I liked the green background, so I took another picture with a red background. No one was around to give me advice on which one they liked better, so I couldn't decide. Which do you like better...the green or the red?I know, I'm crazy, right? I'm just very indecisive about things! I like them both equally!

Now it's time for me to send you hopping to your next destination. But before I do, I want to remind you about the PMS party tonight. It starts at 8:00 pm CST in the PMS forum. We are going to have some fun and we are bringing back the Release Party Challenges! So many of you missed them, so Katie decided to bring them back! So please stop by and say hello!

So now you should hop over to Dawn Knight's blog to see what wonderful creation she has to offer. And please take with you the letter"P" on your journey. You are going to need it!

Thanks for stopping in today, and I hope to see you tonight at the Release Party!
Recipe

PMS Blog Hop and Release Day!

***Some have asked for my Grandmother's cheesecake recipe I spoke about in this post. I'll post it tomorrow for any of you that are interested! Thanks for asking!***

Happy Hump Day! We're halfway there and we have another reason to celebrate today...we are sneaking our last day of Paper Makeup Stamps new release in a blog hop, and tonight they will all be available for purchase! Have you been enjoying the last three days of PMS sneaks? Today we have more! If you've come from Tina's amazing blog, you are on the right track. If not, head on over to the PMS blog and start hopping from there because this is almost the last stop on the hop and you missed so much!

I have something from the really great set called Guilty Pleasures. When I saw it, I knew immediately what I was going to do.

I love these criss cross cards (instructions here on SCS) for recipes. Have you ever gone to a party with a great dish and everyone asks for the recipe? Well, how about making something like this to give as part of the gift?

My recipe card, when I finish it, will be the recipe for my Grandmother's cheesecake. She only made this cheesecake at Christmas and Easter, and it is my absolute favorite dessert! I call it an old fashioned cheesecake because it's made with yeast and it just has that old fashioned feel to it. Since my grandmother passed away, I've been making it. I just made it for Easter, and luckily have some left, which you see in the picture.

Back to the card. The bowl image from the set reminded me of the bowl and spoon my Grandma used to use to mix the dough (I use my Kitchen Aid mixer...much easier!). I colored it with copics, and the spoon is colored with a silver Spica glitter pen.
The sentiment is also from this fab set. I'm sure you've seen the rest of this set used by the DT on the hop...I LOVE that wine image! And the sentiments from this set are great...did you like the "This is how I roll" sentiment? LOL!!

OK, I've blabbed enough!

Don't forget about the Release Party tonight at 8:00 pm CST in the PMS forum. They are always a lot of fun! We'd love to see some new faces!

My letter for you before you go is "E". Collect the letters to get a code you can use to get 15% off the entire release! Now on to your last stop...Randee. She always has some fabulous creations to share! Thanks for stopping in today!

Recipe
Stamps: Guilty Pleasures (PMS)
Paper: PTI white and Bitty Dot Basics, black, gingham dp unknown
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, sahara sand
Copic Markers: R29, 39, 59; E-50, 51, 53; W-1, 7
Accessories: Nesties, Spica glitter pen, PTI twill ribbon, black brad, dimensionals, corner rounder

No April Fool's - I Love PMS!

Happy April Fool's Day! What I have to share today is no April Fool's joke...I really do love PMS!! And not THAT PMS...Paper Makeup Stamps!

Welcome to the 1st anniversary of some of the PMS DT! That's right...it's been one year since myself, Dawn Mercedes, Tina Hale, Tangii Crain, and Lisa McKinney have been on the PMS DT! So we are celebrating PMS and Katie Cotton (owner) with a hop! If you've come here from Dawn's blog, you are on the right track. If not, go back to the PMS blog and see what's cookin' over there.

Tina approached us with this fab idea, and wanted us to say what PMS means to us. Well for me it means fun and friendship (with a business thrown in there!). I have met so many great girls in this last year and have had so much fun doing it! It's amazing how we can call each other friends and yet we've actually never met (or even spoken on the phone for that matter!).

Katie has been a great "boss lady", and I have found a bond with her because of our procrastination habit. It always seems that we are trying to beat each other to see who can do something last...first! Make sense? I've been trying to get better at that, and I know Katie has too! So I'm featuring this card that I did a while ago that has been on my desk as a reminder of my procrastination. I think it's fitting for this post, and one that I think Katie will appreciate.

See what I mean? This is so true for me! In fact, as I write this at almost 9:00 pm, I'm supposed to be finishing my report cards, which are due in exactly 12 hours! Last minute indeed!

I posted this card originally here back in July when it was released. It's a digi image for only $1.50 that you can get here. The snail is also from PMS here.

Edited to add (at the last minute, of course!): I saw Dawn is offering a giveaway on her blog, and I thought that was a great idea! If you leave a comment, I will offer the above sentiment and snail (and maybe something else thrown in) to a random winner. Just leave a comment telling me if you are a last minute person or not, and you could win! I'll randomly choose the winner on Tuesday, April 6 at the close of the day and announce it on Wednesday, April 7!

So in closing I want to say thanks to my new friends and thanks to Katie for asking to me to be on the PMS DT and now on the Senior DT! Lovin' every minute of it and looking forward to more fun! Now hop on over to Tangii's blog to see what PMS means to her!

Thanks for stopping in today! I hope you don't get fooled too much today! ;-)

Paper Makeup Stamps Blog Hop and Release Day!

Happy Sunday everyone and welcome to the Paper Makeup Stamps March blog hop! We have a "Monster of a Hop" for you today....we are sneaking our new monsters! You should have arrived from Dawn Knight's blog. If you just happened to stop by (thank you for that), you should go to the PMS blog to follow the hop and pick up the letters that will spell out a code to get you 15% off the entire March release! It's a great release, too!

The cute little monster I have to share with you today is Buzz.

This image just makes me smile! Buzz comes as one stamp with one bee and a trail. I cut the bee and trail off to be a separate stamp. Then I inked up the bee several times and then pierced the trails behind them. I chose this Basic Grey Lemonade dp because it sort of looked like a honeycomb pattern. I paired it with SU's Bermuda Bay cardstock and ribbon. The sentiment is actually positioned horizontally, but it didn't fit that way on my card, so I got out my Stamp-a-ma-jig and inked one word at a time to stack the words. It worked better for me. I guess I could have just cut it in half instead of going through all that! Oh well! I swirled some Bermuda Bay ink around both circles, and then added the silver pearls. This sketch is from Jen del Muro's Sketch for You to Try.

My letter for you to take with you on your hop is the letter "K". Your next stop on the hop is
Katie's blog. She always has something fabulous to share.Don't forget the release party tonight at 8:00 pm CST in the PMS forum. Hope to see you there!

One more thing I need to remind you of: Canda of
Canda Craft has the Sure Cuts a Lot (SCAL) software and is offering a 10% discount on it in her store. This software works in conjunction with you Cricut and allows you to cut files that are in the SVG format. It's really a cool software. Here's the information you'll need if you're interested:

Paper Makeup Stamps Birthday Bash Blog Hop!

Welcome to Paper Makeup Stamps 1st Birthday! We are celebrating this event with a blog hop. So, if you came here from the Delightful Danni's blog, you are on the right track. If you just stopped in here, please go to the PMS blog and start there. You will get some important information that you won't want to pass up!

We were asked to choose our favorite PMS stamp to use for this hop. Yesterday there was a flurry of confusion over which was our favorite stamps...they are all fab, right? I went with not necessarily my favorite, but with one that I thought fit this occasion. I chose Katie the Makeup Fairy (anyone who knows me knows I LOVE these Beautiful Day Fairies...it's what drew me to PMS in the first place). This fairy was created for Katie Cotton, owner of PMS. In addition to being a crafter, business woman, mom, and wife, she is a makeup artist and the sweetest young thing! She is also fun, talented, fair, understanding, and charitable. I can honestly say that I am thrilled to be on her design team and especially proud to be on her Senior team and call her friend. So it is with great pleasure that I share my Katie the Makeup Fairy card. I started with the PMS colors of pink and gray. Both the papers are from a SU hostess pack. The design on the pink dp sort of reminded me of the PMS swirls. I colored Katie accordingly. The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from the newest release called Birthday Cheer. It's a horizontally positioned stamp, but I wanted it vertical, so I just stamped it twice masking off one word each time. I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to get the placement just right. The "Paper Makeup Stamps" stamp is from the Made With Love set. I really like the way this came out! Perfect for the occasion. I placed two pink primas of different sizes together and placed a knotted piece of basic gray taffeta ribbon in the center and added the silver pearls below the flower. I followed the sketch from my friend Diane from Paper Cookies.

Oh, and the cupcake? It was gone right after the picture was taken and it was DE-LISH! The frosting was raspberry flavor! Happy Birthday PMS! Oh, and Happy Birthday to Gabby, PMS DT member, too!

Now if you've been following, you should have been collecting letters. My letter for you is "Y". It's time now for you to hop on over to the Terrifically Talented Tangii's blog! Don't forget to join us tonight at 8:00 pm CST for the PMS party in the PMS forum. And check the PMS blog all month for special events going on! You won't want to miss all the fun and giveaways!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your hop!

PMS Blog Hop and Release Day

Hi everyone! Today is the day! The January release of new images and word art from Paper Makeup Stamps! If you have come here from Dawn's blog, you are on the right track. If not, please start at the PMS blog because I am the last stop on the hop and you won't want to miss all the fun that's happened before this stop!

I have a beautiful quote to share with you today from William Shakespeare. Who could write a prettier, romantic quote than ol' William?

I'm lovin' this card! The colors are just so pretty and feminine! I used Basic Grey's Two Scoops dp and barely banana. When was the last time you used that color? I also tried my hand at sewing again! I still had the yellow thread in the sewing machine, so I went with it! I still need a little practice, but I do like the technique. I used markers to color the stamp (another thing I haven't done in a long while!), and then while the paper was still in the die, I sponged some barely banana ink on it as well as around the white mat piece. I added the ribbon, button, and pearls and I was done! I started with this week's Taylored Expressions sketch.

Now if you've been following along, you should have been picking up some letters that will spell out a code you can use tonight at the store to get a discount on the entire January release. I have the last letter for you which is the letter "R".

We hope to see you at the release party tonight in the PMS forum. It begins at 8:00 pm CST. There will be prizes, chatter, and the announcement of the winner of the ENTIRE RELEASE! Go to the PMS blog to find out the details. Thanks for stopping in today! See you later tonight!

PMS Fan Blog Hop

Paper Makeup Stamps is having its first Fan Blog Hop. Katie invited customers who love PMS stamps to participate. So, if you have arrived here on your own, please go to the PMS blog to get all the details and begin the hop there. Otherwise, you should have arrived here from one of our dedicated customers, Anita Hovey.

I've done a card for the Makeup for the Weekend challenge. This month it's a color challenge that I thought was going to be a difficult one....but I managed to pull it off. The colors are olive, navy, and mustard. I used a new stamp called George for this one.
He's just too cute! I found the colors in SU's retired Good Morning Sunshine dp. The navy blue piece was run through the diamonds cuttlebug folder. I put crystal effects on the plastic bottle to make it look more realistic. I followed the sketch from the Makeup for the Weekend challenge from last week.

Now you can continue on the hop and go to the blog of another loyal customer, Emily LePage. Thanks for stopping in and have a great weekend!
