Happy Haunting Large Album

Hiya folks! I have a new album to share with you. It's a large one at about 10" x 11" and can hold 45-50 photos. I've used Graphic 45's "Happy Haunting" papers throughout. I will apologise in advance that there are so many photos. There's just no other way to show what I've done and perhaps give you an idea or two! (For larger photos, please click on the image.)

Front cover details -- There are many layered elements throughout the album, with ribbons and beaded elements tucked here and there.

You might be surprised to see page 2 without any photo mats or pockets. I quite love this page in the "Happy Haunting" collection so I embellished and layered it to show it off.

Page 3 has 3 photo mats on the front of the pull-out, while the back is one large mat. See the stitching around the pull-out? You'll see random stitching on mats or pull-out pages.

There is a hidden -almost camouflaged- tag on the side of page 4. It was so well hidden I forgot to take it out to photograph. It's on the right with all the fibers. *wink* There are two photo mats on this page.

The top mat on page 4 flips open, with space for 4 photos on the front of this pull-out page.

There are two additional mats on the back!

Here is a peek at some of the layering details on the first few pages.

Pages 5 and 6.

The pull-out on page 5 has two mats on the front and a single large mat on the back. Page 6 has 4 wallet size mats and 2 folded mats - space for 8 photos!

The back mats on pages 5 and 6 - loads of room!

Page 7 has two green mats and 4 mats inside the ribbon.

Page 8 has two pull-out pages.

Here are some details of these last two pages.

This album is a large one and ready to be purchased in my Etsy paper shop. It comes with a black gift and storage box.

Thanks for visiting today. In the next few days I'll share a Halloween-themed mini album I'm finishing up now. I'm winding down my album-making. There are a few already in the works -including a matching one to this large "Happy Haunting" album- but after that I am moving on to different media and more shadow box styles. I love new challenges!

Cheers,
Susan

Halloween Shadow Box

Hiya folks! I shared a photo of this project on Facebook a while back but haven't shared it here in the blog. How did that happen?!?

This is a 12-inch high wood house I found at a second hand shop. I dusted it out, sanded edges and painted it black. The roof shingles are chipboard painted black then run through the Sizzix with the Tim Holtz Scallops die.

Can you see the ball and chain around the skeleton? Poor guy couldn't escape even if he wanted to leave this collection of fabulous finds.

Thanks for visiting today. This shadow box has just been listed in my KillamCreativePaper Etsy shop. It comes with a solid black box, perfect for gift giving and storage.

Cheers,
Susan

Tilda's Ice Cream Cone

Hiya folks! We've had gorgeous weather here on the East Coast that's been leaning a bit toward crisp fall temperatures. I'm not quite ready for the cold so I'm going to imagine hot sunshine for an excuse to enjoy a yummy ice cream cone with Tilda!

These vibrant colors are found on Bo Bunny's "Vicky B" collection. I love the brightness of orange, pink and lime!

This sweet Magnolia Tilda was colored with Prismacolor pencils and layered up for that 3D effect. The crochet flower -a gift from a dear friend- adds a great touch of texture. You can imagine the butterfly and ladybug charms coming to life and flitting around this lovely little garden!

An extension of the "garden" is found inside along with an area for a sweet sentiment!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have a gorgeous day!

Cheers,
Susan

Sweet Anniversary Music Card

Hi folks! Today is our 16th wedding anniversary and I'm still deeply in love with The Man. Awww....

Instead of loading up even more sappy stuffs, I'll share this sweet little Tilda with you.

The paper is My Mind's Eye "Indie Chic: Citron" with Bazzill solids. This MME collection has one of my favorite color combinations of teal and coral. The music notes are washi tape glued to card stock and then rounded here and there to show movement.

Tilda was colored with Prismacolor pencils and layered for a 3D effect - even the wings are layered! I used another Willow Folk crochet flower (as on yesterday's card) but the cards were actually made weeks apart. :-)

The inside coordinates with the front - I just love love love this swirly floral paper!

Tonight were off to a lovely dinner and a little sweet music of our own. *blush* I hope everyone has a fantastic loving weekend!

Cheers,
Susan

Peeking into a Fairy Meadow

Hi folks! I have a new card to share today, made with what's possibly the last of my Graphic 45 Once Upon A Springtime collection.

This little girl was lucky enough to be welcomed into the fairy meadow to play, but a fairy elder is keeping a close eye on the fun and games!

I used a Jolee's resin frame that I've planned on painting for ages, but this as-purchased color worked perfectly. The crochet flower is from my friend Nicole at Willow Folk. She has a great selection of colors and sizes in her shop!

Inside there's plenty of room for fairy sweet wishes!

Thanks for stopping in today.

Cheers,
Susan

You're The Tops!

Hat pins, stick pins, pretty sparkly baubles. So many of us have a feminine side that thrives on a wee bit 'o bling, right? For me, it's bracelets and brooches. I have a small collection of vintage rhinestone bracelets that I love to wear and a monster rhinestone sunburst brooch I bought  from a street vendor in New York. It is a winter staple on my sweaters. Oh, the sparkles!

So, you know my Etsy shop scrapbook and stick pins, right?

Welll, Etsy seller Nekoda, from the It's A Girl Thing Shoppe makes adorable tutu dresses and couture mini top hats. I'm tickled to show you what she's doing with my sparkly little stick pins:

Aren't these the cutest hats? They are 5" - 7" high and come with built-in hair clips. I love them!

Thanks for visiting today. Hope you have a great day!

Cheers,
Susan

Introducing Killam Creatables Decorative Pin Sets

Hello hello dear crafty friends! So many folks have emailed about the pin sets I use on my cards that I decided it's time to share. I now have decorative pin sets available in my Etsy shop. :)

Since Memorial Day weekend is coming up, everything in the shop is 10% off - use coupon code MEMORIAL10! Be sure to read the shop announcement at the top - I'll be frantically working on new pin sets (as long as I don't get distracted by bright, shiny things!) and will gladly combine shipping on multiple orders through Monday (but won't ship combined orders until Tuesday, of course.)

Beads are glass - either lampwork, glass or faceted crystal. All of these pins are 2" long with flat ends (not pointy). I find that length is perfect to tuck behind a flower or ribbon arrangement on my cards. Here are some examples:

I'll continue to add new sets, including OOAK lampwork beads, fun dangles and larger stick pins and sets. I can even customize a "Killam Creatables" set for you if you wish!

Thanks for visiting today!

Cheers,
Susan
