July

July was another summer month we spent trying to stay cool
- we made a lot of trips to Target, where Ava always had to give the fake dog a hug

Ava helping to water the brown spots in the lawn

Ava loves stickers and loves sticking them on me

I successfully (for me) braided her hair and was pretty proud of myself

In July Ava started break dancing occasionally.  It was pretty entertaining.

Oh hey, more stickers.

^^and more break dancing^^

In-N-Out date

Wizarding stuff at the library

First movie was a big fail. She hated the seats- wouldn't sit in the booster- and then she was terrified by the giant cartoon squirrel and loud noises.

I took this picture because this is so typical of how everyone looks after going to the park in July- even at 7:30am when we would go.

Watching fireworks on the 4th of July

4th of July sparklers

Jeff's mom made the cutest dresses for all of the girl cousins

Ava loved the sparklers and hated the fireworks.
At the end of July we took off for Tahoe and Idaho.
July was a good month :)

***6 Year Anniversary***

On June 27th Jeff and I celebrated SIX YEARS of marriage.
We were impressed with ourselves so we went out to dinner.

 6 Years of Marriage:

4 moves between 3 states
3 degrees/graduations
13 jobs between the two of us
4 trips to the hospital
1 kiddo
Countless hours of laughter, a handful of fights :) and a whole lotta love.

Happy 6 years sweetheart.

June

June went by quick this year!
We mostly hung out inside with the A/C or we were in the pool

We tried to keep busy with making our own jello play dough

We spent a lot of time at the library ^^^

Ava and I spent a lot of time playing with this box. I put her inside and dropped a bunch of crayons and she was busy drawing on the inside while I drew on the outside.

and then she posed like a baby model

LOVE that cheesy smile!

Pool time with Dad.
We spent pretty much everyday in the pool underneath the canopy.

Ava expressing how we all feel when we eat cookie butter

^^^Catching up on the NBA playoffs with Dad

Snoozing with Mom

Another thing we did a lot of this Summer- pudding finger painting- delicious and so much fun.

^^ Seriously the cutest little wild thing^^

Ava loves her Uncle Darrin ^^

^^I think this is one of my favorite pictures of the Summer- Leaving the splash pad in style.

For date night we thought it would be a great idea to order four milkshakes (so we could try all the flavors, duh) and a bloomin' onion (just cuz).
It was good for about ten minutes and then we had stomach aches the rest of the night.

Our first fight over what she's going to wear. Generally I really don't care what she wears and I let her pick- unless she picks her pool shoes for church- and then it's tears bc I'm a mean mom.

Reading with her Papa

And we celebrated Father's Day this year by creating a feast with goodies from Trader Joe's

And that's all June!
