TAD 2012

Hi guys.

I's the 6th year Thing-a-day's been around and I finally made it, we're in (thanks to dear Anca who reminded me).

kittns and I don't have a thorough plan of what to create every day (although we have lots of ideas)  + we spend most of our time with nine week old Sean so I'm guessing we'll probably sketch stuff. The whole experience should be even more interesting, having little time to... well, anything.

I will post the artsy thingy a bit later, meanwhile you can join us and get inspired.

So here they are, two upcycled funny pins, yep the bears used to be part of Sean's first shoes which are too small now. Cool, huh? By wearing them we'll hold on to a lovely memory.

We made two, so if you want one just write us an e-mail or a comment. We'll send it right over.

Help, my sewing machine is gone

Hello beautiful people.

As you've been waiting for the goodies I promised and they didn't show up, I owe you an explanation + apology.

The thing is kittns haven't been able to finish their latest work (yes, blame it on them) because the sewing machine they were working on... disappeared. Long story short, we were using the machine the landlady lent us until one day last week when we entered our room and it was gone. I will refrain from &*%#@%&$ making comments for now, but I'm really sorry for this awful event that delayed the work.

Kittns and I are currently saving money to buy a sweet darling of our own soon, which no one will take away anymore. Just so you know when you are ordering t-shirts or other goodies, almost everything goes to the sewing machine fund.

Until then please accept Sewing is my art free card, an original drawing pencil on paper + red thread handmade stitch.

Bluebird

Hello cats.

I wanted to write yesterday as it was Monday, but I got interrupted by an electricity breakdown that lasted more than 24 hrs, from 11 a.m. until today. Well, here at kittn we start the week on Wednesday with a free card you can use, words of wisdom and bluebirds + rainbows like the song.

This week we will learn more about those things we have, but we cannot lose like kindness, tenderness, generosity, empathy, humanity.

We'll also see that some things we think we own are not exactly ours to have, but to share.

I am happy to introduce Dena Harris, a wonderful author otherwise known as "the cats humorist". She just published her newest book called "Who Moved My Mouse? A Self-Help Book for Cats (Who Don’t Need Any Help)" and rumors are she is generally currently trying to figure out how to bring a third cat into the home without her husband‘s knowledge. :-)
