Cornish outfits and purchaes

I thought I'd intterupt my posts (it's called Procrastinating...) on Cornwall to share a few outfits and things I purchased on holiday.
The first is this English-made vintage cardigan from Totnes market.  I loved the beautiful balloon sleeves and the shape of this.

CBC and I agreed to share this beautiful stained glass Alpaca cardigan- it's so pretty!

The Laura Ashley sailor top was bought on our last day in the charity shop in Looe.  The skirt was from a small shop in Polperro. It's very thin cotton.

I left my lightweight beach towel in Ouchy last year on our holiday, hanging on a rope in the park to dry so I picked up this stripy one from the charity shop new goods in Looe.  the brown suede belt was from Totnes vintage market.  The tanktop was a sample from Seasalt Cornwall as I had a gift voucher.

Here was what I wore the day we went kiyaking. I didn't kiyak in this but I changed into a yucky wetsuit!  This dress is from Tu at Sainsbury's but it was charity-shopped. My shoes are Huraches from Toms and are incredibly comfortable!
The Huraches again.  The top was from H&M about 14 years ago. The skirt was handmade in Bali. I chose the material and the pattern. That was 18 years ago!

The jumpsuit is from Urban Outfitters- it has an identical pattern to a Clara Oswald dress! It came from Depop!

Oh HELLO Totnes Alpaca cardigan. Worn with Fat Face vest (free with Depop purchase) and some M&S charity-shopped shorts.
More outfits anon!

A shopping trip in Suffolk

Yesterday, I met up with my two blogging favourites, Sophie and Hazel for a charity shop trip and day out. This is the fourth time the three of us have done this together which is really nice.

I arrived at the station around 10.30am and Hazel and Sophie arrived in the car together and we walked into town.

Up first, we went for a cup of tea and cake but to our dismay, yet another lovely independent cafe that Hazel likes had closed down. We then tried for one of our other regular haunts but this one was full. Luckily, Sophie glanced round and noticed a place called Hullabaloo which was opposite which looked interesting. We headed in and indeed it was the type of quirky individual place it is always nice to visit- plant-based, eco-friendly, fun decor and interesting fare.
After this, Hazel led us through the meandering streets to find the first of the myriad charity shops in Ipswich. If you fancy doing the Chazzer tour, see Hazel's post here about where they are.

After a brief nip into Lush for me to check out the Deodorant and buy something and a nosy in Clarks at the boots (this Clarks was gorgeous!), we went to Arlington's for lunch.
We sat upstairs in the beautiful high-ceilinged room.  It was so quiet and peaceful and refined.

We all chose sandwiches- I had a roasted peppers, Olive tapenade, rocket, chick pea Granary one with Beetroot relish- it was gorgeous!

Here's a picture of me and Hazel as Sophie wasn't feeling like a photo so she took it for us.

After this, we continued the charity shop tour which was less fruitful for us than previous years but still successful and fun!
Alas, the hideous lime green dresses, that Hazel had promised us were still in one of the shops, had gone.
I also took advantage of the market in the town centre AND a vegetable shop for some purchases too.

Finally, we headed back to Hullabaloo for a final cup of tea/coffee and cake (Hazel and Sophie repeated their cake choices from the morning which proves how tasty they were- Sophie had Banana and fig I think and I joined Hazel with the Vegan Chocolate Beetroot cake.)

We all walked to the station and said our goodbyes. It was a delight to see them both and I am grateful for their friendship through this here old blog.

One highlight for me was an entire shelf of Agatha Christie paperbacks. If I could have, I would have!

So....what did I buy you want to know?

Well...

From the top going clockwise:
A brown corduroy waist coat- £1.50
White Stuff Orange floral shirt- £3.00
Bag of tomatoes: £1.00
6 peppers: £1.00
5 Gold Rings Christmas sweatshirt: £2.25
Falala Christmas t-shirt- £2.00

White Stuff Alphabet dress £4.00
Cavolo Nero Cabbage: £1.00
Purple Kale: £1.00
3 choir vocal scores:  50p
Lush Montelbano shampoo bar and tin: £1.00
The Psychology of Time travel: £1.00
Black vintage mac with tweed piping: £3.00
Total: £21.75.

Yes, that's right, I only bought one book!! What an utter surprise. The funny thing was, Sophie and Hazel bought quite a few books- I felt very well behaved!
I was most pleased about the Cavolo Nero and Purple Kale as no where near me sells those loose, not in plastic- The greengrocers that I got those from was really wonderful! I WISH it were near me!

I look forward to our next excursion!

Hope you are all well!

The Buyer's archive July 2016

I have missed this for two month- I just got busy and kept forgetting. Luckily Janet reminded me and as I was sorting out clothes today, I decided to try and remember my purchases.

The Buyer's archive is inspired by Elise's Buyer's Archive project, and involves keeping a record of all clothing purchases in a bid to keep on eye on my purchase, notice any patterns and IDEALLY cut down on my spending. There is a #buyersarchive hashtag on Twitter/Instagram where you can see posts from everyone taking part,  The usual suspects are EliseHazelJanet, DonnaLucy and Charlotte and perhaps a few more!?

Well, all I can say this month is, I am well and truly ashamed of myself.

Let's get on with it then...

&Other Stories navy beaded sun dress: £1.99- Barnados
I spotted this dress in Barnados with its £65 price tag on. It's cotton and a really comfy good length. I am really pleased with it.
Laura Ashley maxi dress £3.69 Barnados
I love Laura Ashley dresses. Barnados were having a half price sale on all clothing so I took a gamble on this for me and my Mum to share on holiday as she adores Laura Ashley dresses. If it doesn't fit her, I will keep it!
H by Henry Holland collared dress £4, Marie Curie Cancer care
This is one of those dresses I wanted first time! Yay. It's a size 12 but I like it being loose and now fitted. Er- another navy blue patterned dress...
Jaeger Striped button top £1.99 Barnados-
I have really wanted a high necked sleeveless top or two so this monochrome one is perfect. Not that I need it...
 NW2 Striped top £1.19 Barnados
I like basic striped cotton tops like this, so I picked up this staple for the colder season and for hikes..
H by Henry Holland collar top- £1.50 Marie Curie
I have this top already in a size 6 which I am constantly worried about it shrinking and being too small for me so for £1.50, I figured was worth a gamble, two sizes bigger.
River Island dress via Ebay £8.00 + £2.50 postage.
This dress is a Clara Oswald screen accurate dress that I have seen and looked at for ages. And in a moment of weakness, gave in to it...
Bryony and co Lollipop dress £29.99
I picked up this dress in the Sample Sale. I was buying a dress for my niece (£12!) and ended up buying this one as I was paying the postage. Really shouldn't have but this dress was originally £149 (cotton, handmade in England) and again I caved.
I think I need to unsubscribe from some of these websites..

So, on the clothing front, I ended up spending £54,85.  I bought a few accessories too but I will have to check and summarise in another post.
If I can get through August without buying anything, I hope I will feel less guilty.

Glitter box!

If there is one thing I am a bit of a sucker for, it is one of those Lucky Dip boxes where you get some mystery items, usually significantly cheaper than the items would usually be. I tend to buy one when I am feeling a bit gloomy. Bad... But I saw someone share the Glitter Lucky Dip box they bought from Gloriously Glittery on Etsy and I went to take a look, loved the individual items and well, when I saw there was one Lucky Dip box for £5 (and free postage) with 8 items included- well, I was willing to give it a punt!

Soo... what did I receive?
There were 3 gorgeous brooches in there.
A glittery Flamingo, a golden teapot and a deer.
Next were two pairs of really pretty geometric glitter earrings- gold pentagons and gold-tipped flue triangles which convey a mountain vibe. Plus some sort of Eye-liner thingies...
There were two cute little woven bracelets, one with a Fleur-de-Lys charm hanging and then a darling pineapple necklace.

Every item came in either a pretty organza bag or a charming patterned paper bag. The whole parcel came in a good strong cardboard box.

There was a beautiful little card addressed to me saying thank you for my order.

I really like the items and it was a huge bargain for £5 in total!
I've got my eye on the beautiful rainbow and cloud brooch.

Go and have a look- her prices are really reasonable!

How do you feel about Lucky dip boxes? Are you a sucker for them like me!?

The Buyer's archive 2- April 2016

Hi there!

Joining with my second edition of the Buyer's archive with Elise and some other lovely ladies!

I thought this would be a good way to make my look at my spending (and hopefully shame me into spending less!). I thought it would but it seems this month, I did worse than last month- I truly and utterly went mad! Honestly don't know what went wrong with me! On the flip side of it, I got some incredible bargains!

Onto the shame:

I went to TK Maxx with my sister after going out for dinner at the end of the Easter holidays and bought her some running gear as a birthday present. As I was looking, I spied this light denim shirt by SH Denim which was reduced to £13.00.  I also bought this shirt in the Helen Rollason charity shop for £4.25 from Next that week. Didn't need either but have already worn both a few times. Both fit really well.

The next few items were all bought in old my local Barnado's - they ALWAYS have really nice things in there- that's where I bought my tap shoes.
The Newlook white collared top was £2.49 and I thought it was a great staple top for work in the summer when I want to wear a skirt with a sleeveless top (we're not allowed to wear strappy tops). I lack basics for summer like this as I always go for patterns.
To demonstrate the above point, this George floral and polka dot top was £1.99.
I made a bee-line for these polka-dots. I can spot a me-pattern a mile off, hidden amongst items. This skirt was so pretty- mint polka dots, coral scalloped hem, red waist-band AND pockets- brand new with tags. Only £1.99!

The next item was probably my item of the month. I saw this Emily & Fin dress hiding amongst a whole selection of beautiful Monsoon dresses and I was so excited as I had loved this dress when I saw it on A Million Dresses blog. Emily & Fin dresses are made of 100% cotton, fully lined with pockets.I already have this dress in a different print. I couldn't believe it still had its £65 price-tag on. At £9.99, it was more than an average charity-shop dress price but it was a great saving on the original price!

As I was paying, I saw this necklace hanging on the pin-board and I saw it as something I could butcherize into a cute set of punctuation brooches! I don't wear big chunky chains like this but 99p for 5 potentially cute brooches-hurrah! They are all sparkly or mirrored!

I thought that was it for the month.  I wish I hadn't been so weak..

That was the end of my Barnados splurge!

The next item was from Age Concern and I really didn't need it. It still had its £17.99 price tag and cost £4.99. I thought this one was a better dupe for my Caretaker Clara cosplay so bought it. Probably shouldn't have but they let me in after they weren't supposed to and I felt somewhat obliged to buy something!

I'd totally forgotten about this purchase. I bought this Deer Arrow set of brooches for £4.50 + £2.00P&P from Ebay.

The last purchase was from Donna's instagram- a brand new Lindy-bop dress covered in retro TV's and radios. £18 posted.

The total is not as bad as I thought at  £64.19 but when you are saving for a house (and you have WAY too many clothes), it's much more than I should have.  Plus I bought a fair few books which I'll share in another post.

What have you bought this month?

If you head over to Elise's blog, she will let you know who is taking part in the Buyer's archive.
Here's Hazel's .  By the way, I am aware that I am somehow indirectly responsible for other participants' purchases this month! Oops, sorry Donna and Hazel!!

The Buyer's Archive March 2016

I have wanted to join in with this for a while. I love having a nosey when Donna, Janet and Elise do this. (Elise is the brains behind this brilliant idea!!!)  I haven't got my act together to do it and also, dreaded having to see what I had wasted my money on!! I keep meaning to STOP buying clothes but I don't seem to have stopped! Last month (February) I was terrible with my birthday purchases! Luckily, I forgot to take pictures, so you can't see the guilty list! I think if I publish this, the mere guilt of it will hopefully deter me from buying too much!

Anyway, this month's purchases all came from charity shops.  I haven't included accessories because I can't remember what I bought when! But there were a few brooches too, most of which were less than £1!!!

The first was this brand new Jasper Conran at Debenhams top, bought for £3.50 at Mind in Maldon.
I loved the scalloped frilly er-lines and I thought I'd like a purple top.  A lot of the long-sleeved tops, that are not jumpers, that I own, are rather scruffy or faded.  I didn't try it on but it fits ok.

This Monsoon Striped knitted dress was also from Mind, Maldon and cost £3.99. A frustrating example of, 'Should have tried it on'- the shape is not flattering to me as it clings to the bottom half which is not a good look for me.  I don't live near Maldon, nor drive, so it's unlikely I would be able to get back in time to take this back.  I like the little knitted brooch feature and stripes but this is one I will be passing on!
The next item was from Helen Rollason Cancer Care and cost £3.99. It was also brand new with tags. I was rather excited to find this as I wanted a knitted checked skirt like this for a Clara Oswald cosplay for TARDIS Tuesday. It fits really well and is rather flattering. Result!!
The penultimate item was £1.99 from Barnados and is a Dorothy Perkins heart-print skirt. I really love this one- it has POCKETS ladies!  It fits very well and it is a nice shade of orange, which I liked.
The final item was this adorable Topshop sailor jumper which was a bit more steep at £7.99.  I am afraid that my heart leaps when I see a sailor item of clothing and despite it being a size 6, I had to have it. The fit is great and it is a good early Spring jumper.

All in all, I spent £20.96.  I didn't NEED any of these items, so I shouldn't have bought any, but at least I spent less than last month (by about £100)!!! It's a shame about the stripy dress, but I hope I can pass it on.

What have you bought this month?

I am joining in the Buyer's archive with Elise (the founder and brain child of this along with Donna, Charlotte and Janet, Hazel and Lucy)

My bright yellow raincoat

20150529_132317

Usually, when it comes to making expensive purchases, I um and ah over this for a long time.  I'm fine making charity shop purchases that cost a couple of pounds (do too many of these) but I worry about spending a lot on one item.  Yet, when I do, they usually end up being very useful.  Like my Doc Martens last October, they cost me a lot of money but were invaluable through the winter for my 3 miles a day walk to and from school.  For a good long time, I've wanted a good raincoat. The cheap raincoats I've been using up till now have not beeen great, they are only showerproof and I get wet, they are unstructured and they make me sweat- especially as I often running 'late' in the rain and want to get there quicker. Enter Seasalt Cornwall, whose products I came across last July when I bought a Seasalt dress in Hay on Wye. I discovered they have an excellent range of raincoats which make use of cotton with a special waxing called Tin Cloth. Not only that, but they look cool too!!!

I fell in love with their Seafolly raincoat, a cotton-based raincoat with Duffle coat toggles and a fun stripy lining but scuttled away at the cost.
Months and months had gone by (about 9!) and I kept looking at them and thinking I really wanted a good quality raincoat.
Finally, we went to Totnes and I saw that there was a Seasalt shop in Totnes so I could go and try on the raincoats.  They had a special promotion that day with money off so I bit the bullet and bought it.
It got lots of use in Totnes over the week

20150529_134755
I am so pleased with my raincoat- it worked well in the rain and I can wear it when it might rain.

I bought a size 10 rather than an 8 so I can wear a jumper under it.  I can recommend it highly. It makes me smile every time I see it! It also kind of completes my rainbow of coats inadvertently!

On this day in Totnes, we were visiting Sharpham Vineyard and I wore it with my Cath Kidston Ricrac dress from my Dad/Step Mum for my birthday.

And should I get lost, you'll see me a mile off!

What do you wear in the rain? Do you do lots of walking like me and need a proper raincoat?

If you go down to the charity-shops today, you're sure of a big surprise...

I know I shouldn't. I just shouldn't go in there.  I know I lose willpower the instant I get in there and scurry towards a rack of brightly coloured and patterned dresses but I just lose it with the excitement of what I see.  It's some sort of heightened rose-tinted glow of excitement that comes over me and all resolutions of, "No more!" somehow drop like scales from a fish.

It happened on Saturday.  When Mum was going, I felt the need to go and wander to get out and look on the high-street.  Part of me was after something for the garden and wanted a look in Poundland and nip into Waitrose for some baking bits and piece for CBC's vegan/gluten free lemon and blueberry polenta cake.

She dropped me at the top of the High Street and I started to walk along towards Pounland and Waitrose.  I decided 'just to glance' into the Marie Curie charity shop (occasionally find items in there). I was all resolved for just a look and then I looked at the dress rack and found myself looking at a TARDIS blue Cath Kidston floral dress.  Ot. Ow. I clearly lost my mind at finding Cath Kidston in a charity shop.  "Oh well! You may as well do the thing right" my subconscious clearly said and all resolutions on not buying anything were lost. I grabbed it and then kept walking round the store somehow ending up with loads of items.   When I went up to pay, ending up spending £21, the shop assistant commented on how many nice items I had and how much they would have cost elsewhere. I agreed most fervently.  I guess the point is, I SHOULDN'T have bought them but at least it made some money for the charity!

So I'm guessing now I've teased you, you want to see what I purchased?

Oh alright,if you twist my arm
Charity shop florals June2015

So left to right:

1.  This is a F&F floral button-down dress. I had seen this red flowery dress and wanted it but not managed to buy it when it was in the shops, nor wanted to buy it new. This is my favourite type of charity-shop purchase- when you wanted it first time but missed it. It was £3.50 I think.
2. Middle is the Cath Kidston dress. It fits really well and the best bit is it looks vaguely 1940's when on- the sillhouette is very much of that era so it will be really useful for swing-dancing when the dress code says 1940's. I always groan if so as I have nothing of that ilk except a Warehouse dress which I am worried all the buttons will come undone if I dance vigorously in it! £7.00
3.  Lastly, I picked this up blue bird-print playsuit as a present at first thinking it was a dress. It's New Look and still has its original £24.99 labels on.  But seeing it is a playsuit, I also thought "Suitable for swing-dancing so watch this space. And if you get it for Christmas know that I like it lots you!

Charity shop purchases June 2015 part 2
4.  I saw this bag and thought, "Oooooh, that's a GOOD size for a handbag that can have music and a flute shoved into!"  It was £5 and is from Kangol.  It is immaculate and I've been using it for school ever since! Great buy.
5.  Black skinny-ish trousers. These were £2.50 from Reiss originally and they have a side-zip which always works for me in trousers as I have an odd-shape for trousers.  They are an 8 which I am NOT in trousers but these fit very well. They are a lovely textured thick material and will make a good winter alternative to leggings.
6.  Fox brooch! For £1.50 how could I leave him behind!

That should have been it.

Should have been.

But as I left Poundland avec 2 loaf tins and something else, I nipped into the Cancer research for a look.

IMG_4763
I saw the Edward Marston Murder on the Brighton Express  which was the first of the Railway Detective books I'd found in a charity shop and disappointedly wished to myself that it had been the original"The Railway Detective" book which is one of only two that I haven't read.  Looked down a shelf and there it was!  So I've bought all of them in Charity shops.

There was also another Edward Marston book and since I adored the ones that Ang sent me from the Elizabethan series, I grabbed it wholeheartedly.

Be still, my giddy-heart, another Georgette Heyer I haven't read!

Finally, the Barry Hines book intrigued me.

I also debated buying an entire brand new boxed set of 15 Horrid Henry books for the school library for £2.50 (bargain) but I had too many things to carry on my mile and a half walk home and wasn't sure if they needed any more so I left it. I now regretted it as the lady in the library said they always want knew HH's as they get lovingly destroyed too quickly! Alas

So, what a set of finds!

Have you had any guilty success recently? Am I the only one who gets the 'Charity shop flusters?'

Do the Chazzer-Crawl

Rather like the funky-chicken, the Tranky-do, the Shim-sham, the mashed potato, the Chazzer-crawl surely needs to be a dance move, somewhere, sometime. Anyone has any suggestions?

Now, I shall segue somewhat clumsily into my main point.  I went out on a Charity-shop crawl with my flute friend A and her friend K.  A is the one who introduced CBC and I so I have a lot to thank her for.  We'd met up some weeks prior and she'd told me about the good choice of charity-shops in and around Chelmsford and the village where she lives.  I arrived at hers at 1pm and we set off down the hill to the first shop, a Farleigh Hospice shop.  Inside, there were a fair few nice items to be had, at non-ridiculous prices and a pound rail. I left with 3 items and K left with 3, A with none. We headed next to Moulsham Street, a nicer shopping street in Chelmsford that I'd not encountered and found an Essex Animal Charity, Barnados and 2 others.  The first of these was great as there was a £1.25 rummage basket in which I found 4 items.  A couple of them were a little more expensive and we didn't find anything in particular. We were definitely steaming along and managed to accomplish all four within the 1hour parking limit.

Next, we drove to Moulsham Precinct where we found 2 more shops in which I found one item a-piece. A did well with 2 items including one I found her on the pound rail (bunny t-shirt, she owns 12 of them!) and  K got some lovely duvet covers that were brand new.

Finally, we headed over to Great Baddow where one charity shop hid within a slightly grottier estate than the rest of the town.  I hit the book jackpot there, scoring 4!
Finally, we headed back in the car, back to A's for tea, biscuits and cake and copious bunny cuddles with Dudley the bunny.  Eventually, CBC gallantly returned to drive me home.  We'd had a good afternoon.

"Yes, yes, yes..." I hear you cry impatiently, "But what did you BUY????"

Oh very well, as you asked so nicely.  No vintage amazingness sadly, unlike the wilds of Walsall and Sheffield alla Curtise and Vix, there seems to be a real dearth of vintage clothes, whether they end up in the rag-bag like Curtise's shop or just have been snapped up by London Vintage dealers, who knows?

Apologies for making everything look like a sack of potatoes- I am not sure how to photograph clothes off my body!
Chazzer part 1
From top left, clockwise:
1.  Emily and Fin polka dot top.  Like Pom-pom, I love red polka dots, not bad for £1.25.
2. Ryoko Shite (snigger) mini dress.  £1.25.  Unusual!
3.  River Island teal sequin midi skirt. £2.99.  I almost didn't buy this as I worried it was too eveningy to get enough use but the others went on at me.
4. Dolce and Gabbana stripy shirt: £1.25:  I really like the red, blue and white stripes on this- not obvious from my heinous photography.
Chazzer part 2
5.  Top Shop Tapestry mini-skirt. £4. I actually stalked this very skirt on Ebay which someone was flogging for £20! I wanted one but no way was I going to pay that!
6.  Men's floral shirt £1.25.  I picked this up for CBC as he likes this type of thing!
7. Ladies Bow tie. 50p.  This might be vintage as it has an 80's look around it but I'd been looking at these on ASOS for around £4 so I was glad to get this one!
8.  Another book in the Carola Dunn Cornish mysteries series like the one I gave to Janet.
The Piano teacher. Looks interesting. Both 50p

Chazzerbooks
My booty in the last shop was this set of FOUR Railway Detective Books. I have so far found three of these in previous charity shop adventures and I have loved all of them so I was really excited to find another four to read. All £1 each!

So for about £17, I had a fun afternoon and got some lovely items.  Today, I took three massive bags to one of the local charity shops and I have been tidying.  I have decided that I want to ban myself from any shopping for Lent and ideally beyond for all but basic food so this is my final splurge.

Have you been been to a charity-shop recently? Found anything you liked? Do share if so.

LABEL RANT

No, I am not having a rant about designer labels and the cost, or label snobbery, I am talking about sticky thing that are attached to new items you buy. Now, let's be clear. there are SOME labels that are fine and dandy and peel off like magic.  But others- OOOH, others, they are evil and refuse to leave the surface. There are others who leave really grubby, dirty marks on the item you have tried to rid them from.  TK Maxx are key culprits for this on items attached to their home items, e.g. chopping board or chocolates and WOE BETIDE the red-reduced labels. Those things, I SWEAR have been up chimneys to earn a bit of extra cash, you'd assume from the mess they leave.  The worst are the ones which peel off into small shreds so you have to pick, pick carefully and be tender and sensitive to them in order that they won't seperate again though you want to RIP the wretched things off. Many a lovely book has ended up with egregious dirty smudge across them because that innocuous round label or the Waterstones Buy 1, get1 half price label have been superimposed over each other and that leads to label-peelage-fallout. And imagine if that was a gift- doesn't look great.

20141031_221825
'Scuse the drying washing in the background. Oh, and the grimacing nutter...
When we recently bought our bin couple (You've seen my marriage ceremony?), dear John Lewis had attached the most GARGANTUAN labels to the front of the bin. These whoppers were 15cm by 20cm. WHY oh WHY stick them to a BIN???? We clearly know it is a bin! Attach a label to the hinge with string or something.  CBC started to peel one off, but lacking any sort of patience, he said, "Ahrgh, I hate labels, it's torn!" which left me to deal with the label  on both bins. WHO wants a BIN with a great big smudge across it? It's not like I can get THAT in the sink to wash it off alla jam-jar.
Anthropomorphised bins
I had to sit there painstakingly at 11pm (yes, we were that sad that we wanted to begin using our bins there and then. Or rather CBC was) on the floor with my paltry fingernails, gently digging and then delicately pulling, getting just the right balance of force to get the wretched thing moving without splitting (a bit like the clingfilm).  When I got to the middle, it was hard going grappling the corner so it didn't get restuck, whilst making progress. Eventually, I got them off. Miraculously, I must say.  I never thought I'd be able to get it off in one piece. On either bin. But I did.

Companies: sort out your sticky labels. If it has a shiny surface, please choose your stickers carefully or don't use one at all.

Over to you. Who else has suffered from sticky-label rage?
