Southern Ridge Trading Company Christmas Cards

Here we are just days from Christmas and I am scrambling to get them done.  I found some simple things to put together and save me time but also send out nice cards.  I also needed them to be mailable so no extra embellishing that I always love.

The first set I used Chipboard from Southern Ridge Trading Company, the reindeer and chicken wire.  I Frantaged the deer in Taupe and the Wire in Scarlet.

I had enough for 4 cards

My next set are Pion papers on Ranger's big tag. I decided to get a bit girly with them and I am still in the vintage card making mood.  I love working with this theme.

Meanwhile the other kids in the house are being naughty sleeping on my Christmas pillows!  lol

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year's to you all!  I am so thankful that I have met online people like you so we can share our ideas and enjoy each other's creativity. The bonus is when a online friend unexpectedly become close and a dear friend, that is a true blessing from God!

Santa Edwin's New Ride

Hello and welcome to my blog today, thank you for stopping by.
I have a new Christmas card to share with you and it has a action wobble on it.

I colored my images in Distressed Inks and covered it all with Frantage in Sahbby White.  Bigsnow flurries for Edwin to get through.

Here is the bottom of the card using Magnolia doohickey snowflakes and some buttons, lace, ribbon and bells.

Edwin is riding high on a wobble so when he goes over the hills he is shaking.

The top of the card has 2 Magnolia doohickey envelope dies and snippets from the Maja Paper pad I used. Awesome paper, almost scared to use them they, look so pretty.

Here is a shot at the wobble, hard to get this photo because I had to cut it down as Edwin is so small. I glued it on and he moves freely on the card.

Very shortly I have some fun coming to my blog for you so keep checking back!
Have a great day,

Nativity Scene Lantern

Hello my Friends and welcome to my blog today!
A few months ago I ordered a kit from the The Flying Unicorn Store and received this round lantern to alter.  I decided to make a nativity scene with it.

This was very easy to create and is made out of metal. The front has a hinged door and glass on both sides.  I adorned the back with a tulle ribbon also.
First I painted it with gesso.  To create the base color I mixed Prima Bloom Spray Gold Foil and Silver Metallic Paint.  After it dried I used Glossy Accents to glue in the nativity, trees and snow.
For the outside I found these really pretty flowers and twisted them around the top of the lantern and then hot glued everything else onto it.

Thank you for stopping by my blog I hope you have a awesome weekend.
Later on I have some very exciting news to share and something sweet to go with.  I hope you come around again for that!

Tilda With Apple Wreath

Finally another Christmas card done and ready to send, or not?  They are so pretty I hate to see them go. Silly.  I love the new collection Waiting for Christmas and today I used Tilda With Apple Wreath.

I used my own Christmas decorations to show off this card.  I think I should keep the card and add it to the decorations in my room. lol

I colored Tilda with Distressed Inks. My papers are leftover scraps from last year and I used 2 Spellbinders dies around Tilda.

Magnolias with some winter greens for accents.

The top of the card using Magnolia Doohickeys and sentiment

I used a new product to create a frosty old look, Ranger Embossing powder in Frosted Crystal.  I used versa mark and the holly stamp to make the design on the background of the Magnolia sentiment and then heated and dipped this 3 times to get the frosty effect.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today, I appreciate your comments.  Wishing you a crafty day!!

Quickie Pink Tag

Hello everyone, Hope you have a great week ahead!  Busy, Busy and fun preparing for Thanksgiving with my kids and hubby this week!  Once again I have to put my creativity addiction away for the week and get down to cooking and entertaining.  There is such a strong drive in me the past days to create cards, I am out of control! haha

Here is a quick tag I made

I used Webster's Pages from Christmas Story and the coordinating envelope to make the tag.

Tilda is colored in Distressed Inks and liquid pearls for the snow.  I also used the new Poinsettia stamp from Magnolia at the top. I love the way this one swirls.

I used LaLa Land poinsettia,  Memory Box star die and Magnolia doohickey snowflake dies to embellish this tag.  A bit of cheesecloth is behind my image and Webster's Pages ribbon finishes the bottom of the tag.

Wishing you a very happy Thanksgiving and for my friends who do not celebrate, wishing you a wonderful day too!  Thank you for the sweet comments on my blog!

My Besties Grandmother

As a grandmother of 3 darlings, my heart is full of love for them even though they are far away.  Us grandma's are softies and also barracuda's when we protect them.  We also have so much happiness and joy when we play with them because we simply send them home when they are done, well it really is because we are more relaxed and seasoned.
I want to pay a tribute to Grandmothers of all ages before the holidays as we make them more special and create great memories for our grandchildren.

I made a tag using a Sherri Baldy image that reminded me of my mom, always had her arms full when she came over for a visit.  Sherri herself just became a grandmother also, congrats!

On the right side I made a sentiment sign with Prima resin frame.  Sherri Baldy heart die is at the top of the frame

On the right side is a pocket so that you can insert a message.  I adorned the pocket with LaLa Land butterfly die and Sherri Baldy heart die  The edging is chunky glitter in Champagne

I used Copics to color the image

The bottom floral is Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers die and 3 sets of ribbons

Wishing all current and future Grandma's a lot of joy and happiness over the holidays playing with those kids, they keep you young ya know!

It's Cold Outside Tilda

My first Christmas card of the season using It's Cold Outside Tilda from Magnolia.  I broke open my Webster's Pages papers "Christmas Story" that I purchased last year. I am a paper person so my whole card evolves around showing off the papers.

Magnolia doohickey snowflakes, Christmas Lace and LaLa Land poinsettia's make up the dies I used on the front.

Tilda is colored in Distressed Inks and while she was still wet I did the Frantage Shabby White by Stampendous, it adhered to all the wet areas around her which was a happy surprise look.

Always Believe is part of the paper pack from Webster's Pages.

The Inside I made a pocket with the envelope from Webster's Pages and inserted my youngest childs school photograph, after they take it out I made a tag using Magnolia doohickey and 2 Magnolia stamps.

Thank you for visiting me and taking the time to leave comments for me to enjoy.  I need to go back to the dungeon and do more accounting as our new accountant already sent me a reminder! lol

Have a awesome day!

Find Your Inner Artist

Using 1 sheet of Tilda paper, I was inspired to make this very girly canvas. Prima resin is especially girly so that settled the theme.

I used paper doilies in pink and white for 2 edges and some lace and pleated tulle

The corner is Chipboard from Southern Ridge Trading Company and I frantaged it in Shabby Pink

I used Tim Holtz Melange and pleated it to make my cone shape and for the inside of the frame.

I have a piece of wedding appliqué glued to the side thanks to my by Cathy-Lynn

Close up of the main focus and the words of inspiration.  Those are liquid pearls around the waist on the dress form.

The angles of dimension

I will probably give this one to the school to auction but it will be hard to let it go. lol

Thank you for your sweet comments and visiting my blog, I really appreciate it!

Believe in the Beautiful Pieces of Life

Today I said enough office work and lets get creative!  I started 3 projects and finished one today.  Then I just received my new Magnolia Christmas stamps that I ordered so now I want to color them up!!  Exciting weekend of crafting coming up.

I inverted a canvas and covered it with some papers that my friend Cathy-Lynn just sent me. Then I added the embellishments and covered most of them with  Prima Blooms Gold Foil spray mist mixed with cream paint.

I used various flowers in the corner and brought them up to the top.  The keys are metal painted with the bloom paint I mixed.

A corner filagree and some pleated tulle covers the Ewe that I took off the punch out sheet of the paper.  On the outside frame I painted a metal bicycle and then added a metal flower and then a paper flower.

The inside edges are covered with pearls and you can see a bit of the crocheted lace with buttons on top to make a frame.

Here are different angles so you can see how the canvas laid out

I had fun with this one and the words are so inspiring.  This canvas is going into the school PTA silent auction to earn money for school items.  I think it will make a wonderful gift for someone!

Have a wonderful beautiful day.
