My "What's In Your Vintage Purse Swap?" purse for Sherry

Hi Everyone!

Here's my Vintage purse I created for my swap partner Sherry. I hosted a "What's in your Vintage Purse Swap" here on my blog and was really excited about the wonderful ladies that participated. The theme was "Shabby Chic" and to use a wooden purse from Michaels or any craft store. I love the thought of creating ten handmade projects and incorporating them to fit inside the purse and then be able to display everything after opening it. Its always wonderful to receive gifts, but its much more special when they're handmade. I'm excited to host another swap next month. Be sure to look out for my post on my blog. Thank you again ladies for particpating in my swap and I can't wait to see all your purses.

It's the little things altered Mini Tray

I had the best time ever creating this project last night. I just loved the "it's the little things" collection by Fancy Pants and thought it would be perfect for this project. I got my inspiration from the 7 Gypsies Library Drawer and wanted to incorporate all the little things my girls make or give to me into this tray. The title couldn't of been more perfect. I wanted my mine to be a little bit different. I didn't want to create it into a calendar so of course I had to incorporate my favorite....mini albums. I chose my die cuts based on what was on the design papers and made them into little mini albums. I can't believe how much I was able to fit into this tray. Thank you again Brandy for text messaging me!I just LOVE it!!!!

Flea Market Mini Dress Form Calendar and Purse

We had purchased Natalie a new desk for her room and I just thought this was just the perfect project for her. Natalie studies and stores all her makeup on her desk. She loves clothes, purses and makeup and knew just what to create. Once the year is over, she will print photos of her and her friends and adhere it on top of the calendar.

Altered Case with Accordion Photo Stand

I would always pass up the playing cards every time I went to Dollar bins at Michaels. But when I went yesterday, I kept looking at it and really liked the case. I also found another playing cards case and purchased that too. I always love to keep my scraps especially when the papers are so beautiful. It would just be a waste to throw it away. I really love the Graphic 45 Once Upon a Springtime Collection and knew I just had to make something. My girls always take Spring pictures at school and thought right away to use the "Springtime" sentiment and make an accordion photo stand for the inside. This makes a great gift for Grandpa and Grandma. I just love that you can make a ton of different projects with this clear case. I'm really happy how it turned out and can't wait to make more. These also make fun gifts to give for Christmas or any occasion.

Fairy Flora Photo Cube with Mini

When I went shopping on Black Friday with my girls, I came across these Photo Cubes at Target. I knew instantly what I wanted to do with this. My family got together and we all spent the weekend at my mom's and I wanted to make a lil' something to give to my sister because I love her SO much. I took the same idea with a video I had posted awhile back using the Sizzix Box die with Mini album. I'm really happy with how it came out. What I loved about the photo cube was that it was two separate pieces. I first decorated the outside of the photo cube with a photo frame I purchased from Michaels then added my favorite iamroses flowers with Prima laces. I designed the outside to where my sister can alternate the inside box therefore her family picture and Jacob's picture will then have the decorated side on their photo(You can decorate all four sides). The inside box I covered each square with the Prima Fairy Flora Collection.(LOVE this collection) and added their photos. I cut one side of the box for me to place the mini album inside. The mini album measures 3" x 3" creating 6 pages using medium weight chip board and Prima Fairy Flora design papers. For every other page I added an envelope(Sizzix Envelope with Ornate flap)with a tag inside for my sister to add journaling. I loved the fact that when you look at the cube, it doesn't look like there's a mini album inside.

Photo Cube (2 separate pieces...love it)

Decorated the box that comes with the Photo Cube with design paper and their photo.

I remove the other half of the cube from the bottom for the Mini album to stand up on the cube.

Mini album fits perfect inside the box.

My Family Mini album.

Alternated box and now Jacob has the ribbon and brown flower on his side.

Altered Wooden Tray

Hi Everyone!

I received this adorable wooden tray from Kathy. Thank you so much Kathy! I wanted to incorporate one of the new Starburst Spray Cotton Candy PINK from lindystampgang.com to create that Shabby Chic look and to also include what I love. I incorporated several beautiful embellishments from RAKS I received. Thank you again ladies! I first painted it with Gesso and them painted the Cotton Candy PINK Starburst Spray. I added Prima's Fairy Flora papers inside the squares and edged each one with the Walnut Stain Distress ink. On the corners of the box I added Lindy's Stamp Gang's Brass Charms and loved how it came together. I added some wooden pieces on the bottom of the box because I plan to have it standing rather than hanging it. This was really fun to put together and create. Be sure to stop by lindystampgang.com and try the new PINK color....you'll love it!!!

Gorgeous PINK!!!

Textured Picture Frame of My Girls

I wanted a picture frame that I can add a picture of each of my girls and display it in my craft room. I purchased a plain black wooden frame, but wanted to add some texture to the frame. I first sprayed the entire frame with LindyStampGang's Moon Glow's Moon Shadow Mist in Tawny Turquoise. I poured Utee right on top of the Moon Shadow Mist then, I heat set it. I really love that you can see the Turquoise in the Utee. The flowers I purchased from iamroses.com and sprayed the center white Gardenia's with Moon Glow's Moon Shadow Mist in Smokey Sapphire. The Gardenia on the top right I sprayed more than once to achieve a darker look. I really loved how it turned out. It looks as though I used two different stains. Be sure to stop by LindyStampGang.com.

Rock On

The one thing my teenage daughter can't live without....her i-Touch. Although its literally attached to her hip, it just never seems to stay in one place. Here I altered a wooden box for her to place on her dresser. I used MFT's Pure Innocence Tweeny Teen Rock stamp set. Now she'll never have to search through her room again.

2010 Coaster Calendar

Here's a 2010 calendar I made for my sister Rachel with coasters. I challenged myself to use only MM Vintage Findings and MM Autumn Splendor Collection. I wanted to incorporate all the holidays to each month and was happy with how it turned out. I used my spider web stamp and spider brad for the month of October since there were no Halloween themed items. I had a fun time making her calendar. I hope she likes it.
