Update

Here are some highlights from December we attended several Christmas Concerts, a visit from Kevin's parents, and sister and her two kids. Santa Claus came by to personally check if the kids are on the right list.
We went to Temple Square it is fun to visit with people from out of state. It was beautiful and memorable. I am glad we have this beautiful temple in our own backyard.

We spent a couple of hours at Jump On It, we wore out the kids and maybe Erin (Kev's sister) and I as well. My favorite was laying in between the tramps as the kids took turns jumping over me as I took their pictures.

Football Withdrawals

Kevin has spent every weeknight for the past four months coaching the eighth grade football team and now that the season has come to an end, more than once Kevin has said to me "What am I going to do without football?" So today when all the neighborhood kids were having an impromptu game, he could not help himself and had to join the fun. I could not help but take pictures of him enjoying his favorite past time with some all to eager boys.

Pumpkin Mania

Now that football is over we enjoyed an evening all together, carving pumpkins or my favorite the oversized potato head like pieces you can just shove into the pumpkin. Kevin got quite a kick out of making me gag by putting the pumpkin guts inside his mouth, it was hard to get a picture in between the dry heaving. Apparently the kids did not get my gag reflexes, since I was the only one struggling.

Pumpkin love: 1.) Pick their nose (duh!)
2.) Hold hands
3.) Get engaged!

Good Times on a Friday Night

How did you spend your Friday night of Fall Break? We have spent the whole fall break at home with a sick little girl. By Friday night Carson and I needed to get out, we went to watch the bridge be s l o o o o w l l l l l y y y moved into place. Apparently it was a pretty happening thing to do on a Friday night, who knew. The news was there the road workers served hot chocolate, and there were tons of people. We had a great time and would have stayed longer 11:30 pm, but Carson was pretty tired. My favorite part of the night was all the road construction workers taking pictures of us taking pictures of them. There is going to be another night of bridge construction if you are up for a paRtY...

You could pretend this was a running video because that is how fast it moved, ha ha ha

Mascot Bowl

We have gone to the Mascot Bowl every year since we have lived here, but this year it had extra special meaning. Zach's football team was the team the Mascots played against in the first half. Kevin coaches this team and how excited they both were that they got to participate. Zach had some great plays and made his cheering section proud. It was such a fun night and one that Zach and Kevin will remember for a long time.

Football WIN!!!

Zach and Kevin have had a rough season and it is not for lack of effort, and endless amounts of time our family and many others have sacrificed. Yet, we have not enjoyed a win until this last week. So to celebrate this victory Kevin invited 30+ teenage boys to our house to play of course a little football, eat a smorgasboard of food, and watch a movie (of course about football) projected onto the side of the house. Oh we all had a fun, and I was most impressed about how this group of teenage, football loving boys acted at my house they were a joy and a great help. I would even do it all again if we are so inclined as to win another game.
