Das doppelte Lottchen #172

Hello everyone,

Can you believe it's been more than a month?
Wel, I was struggling with some health issues and Create A Smile took up the rest of my time, so thanks for your patience!
Anni and I are finally back with pour new Lottie and Lisa.

For those new on my blog:
Lottie and Lisa means Anni and I usually pick a stamp or stamp set or die that we both have (we nearly have the same taste!) and create a card with this product and another task.
Today I made a wish, and it is:

Paper Smooches - Little Fella

&

Acetate

EDIT:
Whooops, I just noticed that I obviously picked the wrong date - Anni followed another challenge.theme. Sorry for messingt his up!

Acetate ususally screams for shaker cards, but I decided to NOT make one because I found it was too obvious. However, I used the acetate for a, interactive element.
"Treffen?" means something like "Gather together?" so you can pull that little creature to meet his friends :)
I thought that was cute :)

Now hop over to Anni's blog to find her creation :) She'll knock your socks off ;)

Thanks for viisting!

Das doppelte Lottchen #161

It's sunday, that means it's Lottie and Lisa time!

Lottie and Lisa means Anni and I usually pick a stamp or stamp set or die that we both have (we nearly have the same taste!) and create a card with this product and another task.
Today I made a wish, and it is:

My Favorite Things - Birthday Bears

&

use alphabet stamps

Well, those bears are just ADORBS and I had a blast coloring this little guy ()then my colorless blender ran out of ink, my refill is GONE (I know I put it somewhere is a safe place... too place obviously.. haha) so I had to re-order a new one, found out that cultpens.com is offering 30% off on Copics and refills now and BAM i placed an order - whoops - that's how things go, right? Has anyone ever managed to just order ONE copic item? Never ever. I won't believe you if you tell me you did ;)

I used an old Alphabet stamp set by The Alley Way Stamps - I always loved that font!

I also got a fuse tool this week and would like to share two cards that I made to try it out.
'1 is for our curent "Let's Create A Smile" inspiration Challenge at the Create A Smile Friends & Family Facebook group.
When I made this moodboard i strived through my stash and home to find a great color combo and to take matching photos and this is the result:

If you feel inspired by this and would like to win something - join the group, share your creation (including Create A Smile products or freebies) and have fun :)

This is my card using the fuse tool:

For the second card Birka from Mit Herz und Schere suggested we could make a card using the theme "round party" - and this was my result:

Das doppelte Lottchen #150

It's sunday, that means it's Lottie and Lisa time!

That means Anni and I usually pick a stamp or stamp set or die that we both have (we nearly have the same taste!) and create a card with this product and another task.
Today Anni made a wish, and it is:
Lawn Fawn -  Stitched Journaling Card die

and

watercolor + salt

Plaing with paints and mediums is so much fun, but I sometimes struggle with accepting the results that I get (honestly - watercolor just does what it does, most of the time...) So I created multiple backgrounds using watercolos and salt to pick the one O loved most. More salt or less? More color or less? More water ot less? There are so many things to think of to create different looks.

In the end I had lot of everything - haha :)

This is the card that I made:

This technique is create to create a winter nightsky, so I went with this - different shades of blue and this texture make it look interesting. I kept the rest of the card simple, with that super adorable walrus from Paper Smooches.

His look is too funny - he looks like someone was really getting on his nerves. Maybe Christmas is not his favorite time of the year - I am not sure, but I like how this card turned out.

Today Anni made a wish, and it is:

Paper Smooches - Get well die
&
over the edge

Here's the card that I made:

I bought some dylusions ink sprays when I was in berlin, So I played with them and created that large panel. I thought that the white sentiment (cur from fun foam) would pop on that one. The Penny Black flowers were colored with my zig clean color real brush pens, just because I love their bright colors and they were a perfect match.

A cardcan be bold withour using any black - I really love how this turned out :)

&
Pick a color challenge

I was lucky and found a color challenge that really hit my eye and I knew I was going to use that. I also wanted to use a new die (by Rayher) that has scribbled circles - super beautiful. And that is the card that came out:

This is the Color challenge by Bastel-Traum.at that I used - isn't that lovely?

Here's a close-up yo you can see the glossy accents

Das doppelte Lottchen #121

It's Lottie and Lisa time!

That means Anni and I usually pick a stamp or stamp that that we both have (we nearly have the same taste!) and create a card with this set and another task.
Today I made a wish, and it is:

Paper Smooches - Botanicals 2
and
3 different twines

Paper Smooches - Botanicals 2
und
3 verschiedene Garne

I had a hard time with myown challenge - the first card i made was a CASE of Yana Smakula's card over here  but mine turned out WAY too girly for me - you can find it at the end of this post. So I went for something else and came up with this very simple card. the sentiment says "keep your head up".

Some embossing on vellum and a window with twine - that's it. And I still don't like it a lot...

And this was the first - way too girly - attempt:

Das doppelte Lottchen #107

It's Lottie and Lisa time! We had a break because Anni was on vacation, but finally the Lottie and Lisa is back!

That means Anni and I usually pick a stamp or stamp that that we both have (we nearly have the same taste!) and create a card with this set and another task.

Today I made a wish, and it is:

Paper Smooches - First Aid Kit

and

Watercolor pencils

Paper Smooches - First Aid Kit

und

Aquarell-Buntstifte

This is what I came up with:
I thought about coloring one of the images with wantercolor pencils - but decided to try something different. I used a stencil with non-permanent spray-adhesive, adhered it to white cardstock. added color with watercolor-pencils to the open spots and used a very wet brush to blend the colors. You can still see the streaks (that's what a don't like a lot about watercolor-pencils) but I really got a soft watercolor-background. I kept the stencil on the cardstock until the color was nearly dry (it was not dry in the top-right area - that's why it looks a bit messy there). I think I'll try this technique again, because watercolors and stencils are SO COOL together! :)

ABNH Summery cards with solid and outline images

Hey there!
Finally! This was my last work day for the next weeks. Lots of crafty time ahead!

Today it's my turn to bring some inspiration to you over at A Blog Named Hero. This month we're playing with Paper Smooches stamps (plus Hero Arts, of course!). You know I've always loved them!

Did you ever think about the different use of solid or outline images? I think the result depends on that choice also. Outline images are usually cute and fun, whereas solid images give a classy look to cards - don'r you think?!

So here's my classy card with solid images first:

And here's the cute/fun creation with an outline stamp:

same colors, same sentiments, both very simple but completely different cards.
I hope you like them. Hop over to A Blog Named Hero to find out more.

There is still some time to enter the current challenge, Simon Says Stamp has generously sponored us with a great prize!

ABNH Challenge #47 Color it

It's time for another challenge over at A Blog Named Hero:

Get out your favorite color medium, stamp some fun images and color them in. easy, right? That's what we do all the time. Pencils, Markers, Watercolor.. you have endless possibilities!

We're collaborating with Paper Smooches for all of July:

So I used the cute heart band-aid from Paper Smooches "First Aid Kit" Set and combined it with a Hero Arts background stamo. By adding vellum and enamel dot I created layers and details for more interest.
I think thar effect is pretty cool and I'll use it again soon!

Now take out your coloring-favourites and play along! And remember, one lucky, random entry will win a $25 gift voucher from our amazing sponsor, Simon Says Stamp, so you should definitely play along! :)

Thanks for your visit :)
