Christmas Chimney

Hi!  Long time no post!  I went away last weekend and didn't get any time in the craft room.  Today's card is for the latest challenge at Freshly Made Sketches where our hostess is the talented Kim Singdahlsen.  Isn't this a great sketch?

I decided to add to my meagre pile of Christmas cards and used a NBUS set by Your Next Stamp.

This is such a cute image and I really enjoyed coloring it with Copics.  Once I was finished, I colored all the snowy areas and snowflakes with clear sparkle pen, as well as the flame on the candle.

The sentiment strip is from black cardstock and white-embossed with a simple Christmas greeting.  The card base is Tropical Teal and used to match the scarf around the mouse's neck.

Stay Paw-sitive

Hi!  It's time for the team at Freshly Made Sketches to wow you with their creativity 😄and this week we have a fabulous sketch from Kim Singdahlsen. 

So I went with a NBUS set to make my card and I hope you can see the sketch!  

I stamped the trio of cats onto a piece of X-Press It and quickly colored them with Copics.  I added the sentiment and die-cut the panel with a stitched square die.  The single cat was stamped, colored and cut with my Scan n Cut.  I used the same die set to cut a panel of Sno Cone cardstock and then after working out where my stamped images would be placed, I stamped the scratch marks.  

Both the trio of cats and the single cat were popped up on foam tape then added to the card base.  And that's my card for this week!  I hope you'll head on over and check out the fabulous cards made by the rest of the DT.

Mouse Wreath

Hi!  I made this card on the weekend for the Wreath challenge at HLS Christmas Challenge, the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch and the Holiday Challenge at Addicted to Stamps & More

This is a NBUS stamp from Your Next Stamp and I stamped and colored it using Copics.  Stupidly, I then got a black glaze pen to highlight the eyes and it splodged!  To fix it, I re-stamped the image, colored the mice heads and fussy-cut them out and adhered them over the splodgy ones.  Problem solved!  

The sentiment was stamped in black and clear embossed and I went around the image with blue Copics to make it stand out.  The poinsettias, berries and bow were all colored with clear Wink of Stella and the center of the poinsettias were colored with Stickles.
