Ring Thanks

Hi all, I'm here with my card for the latest Tic-Tac-Toe challenge.  This time, I went down the right hand column with Die-Cut/Thank You/Metallic to come up with this card.

I hot-foiled, stenciled and die-cut the floral image and set it aside while I worked on the other elements.  The card base was enhanced with a corner die placed in the top left and right corners, giving a tone-on-tone effect.  For the sentiment, I die-cut from NBUS Pastel Sunrise cardstock to match the flowers, stacking it three deep before adding it to a matte silver foil shadow.

And that's it.  Thanks for visiting.  I hope you'll check out the fabulous cards made by the design team and have a go yourself.

Triple Hello

Hi all!  Today's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches was designed by Kim Singdahlsen and I veered off track a tad to come up with this card.

I stenciled onto a white card base with some embossing paste and the Geo Leaves stencil.  While that was drying, I stamped and cut out the images then added some ink onto white cardstock to cut out the Hello die in three difference colours.

Finally, I arranged it all, adhered it to the card base and called it done.

Thanks for visiting.  I'm linking this up to the Hello challenge at Just Us Girls.

Just a Little Note

Hi and welcome!  Today's card uses the latest sketch from the team at Freshly Made Sketches, where hostess Jennifer Timko has given us an oval to play with.

For some reason, I am not a fan of ovals - probably because I can never get them straight.  I decided to work with some products from The Greetery and create an almost one-layer card featuring a sort-of oval shape.  The original stencils create an arch design, so to make it look more like an oval, I stenciled and stamped the left-hand of the card then flipped the stencils to mirror image the right-hand side.

Once I was finished stenciling and stamping, I selectively stamped part of the arched sentiment and did some subtle ink-blending to define the shape more.  I finished with a die-cut and stacked sentiment.

Please be sure to check out the fabulous cards made by the design team.

I'm linking this up to Happy Little Stampers stencil challenge.

Stay Awesome

Hi!  It's time for another challenge from the team at Freshly Made Sketches and this week our hostess is Jen Brum.  She has given us an angled sketch to play with and here's what I came up with:

Angled panels always give me fits so I went looking for something in my stash that wasn't so obviously an angle and came up with this die which I adhered over a panel of Altenew washi tape.

I finished with a simple sentiment and some Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Thanks for visiting.  Please check out the wonderful cards made by the rest of the DT.

Not Alone

Welcome to a new challenge from the team at Freshly Made Sketches, where our hostess this week is Amy O'Neill.  And here is Amy's sketch:

I really wasn't feeling like making cards when I sat down to do this, so I decided to let dies do all the work and came up with this card.

I looked through my pre-inked alcohol ink panels and found this piece of blue which I die-cut with a maple leaf die.  I left all the innards attached and set it to one side.

I die-cut two separate rectangles with pierced rectangle dies, placed them together and ran them both through my Big Shot with a pinpoint die.  This put the pattern in the same place on both panels.  I separated the panels and put the larger of the two onto the card base and did the same thing again.  This way all three panels had the pinpoint die - although now I look closer at the sketch, I probably shouldn't have added the dots to the card base!

I adhered all the layers together and then added the maple leaf.  No foam tape or dimension on this card - all the piercing adds the interest.  Finally I finished with a white-embossed sentiment - my message to everyone.

Thanks for visiting.  I hope you'll check out the cards made by the design team and take some time out to have a go yourself.
