Birthday Bunny

Hi and welcome!  I'm down to the wire tonight, getting my card posted before the MFT Sketch Challenge closes.  I also used the colors from the MFT Color Challenge and that closes in a day or so.   I'm also linking up to the Texture challenge at Simon Says Stamp.  I don't do texture like the beautiful examples from the design team, but my stenciling adds a nice texture to the background of my card.  My card also meets the Make a Birthday Card challenge at Can You Case It.

I actually had this card pretty much made on the weekend, but had to assemble it, which I did tonight.  I used the adorable Snuggle Bunnies stamp set, as well as Sweet Birthday Wishes for the balloons and The Whole Herd for the sentiment.  The bunny and balloons were colored with Copics and the Nightshift Blue card base was stenciled with the Large Grid stencil and some translucent embossing paste.

I think this card would be quite suitable for a young boy, so I left off any sequins and embellishments.

Thanks for visiting.

Curvy Thanks

Hi!  I had the day off work today and after doing a bit of shopping, I spent some time in my craft room making cards.  This card was made for a few challenges:  Tic Tac Toe (yellow, ink splatters, scalloped border),Can You Case It's sketch and Addicted to CAS's Petals theme.

I rotated the sketch and moved the panel up slightly (hope that's okay!).  I started with some watercolor paper and I sponged on some Squeezed Lemonade ink, keeping it darker on the right hand side.  I also added some Scattered Straw to the right hand side.  Before I die-cut it, I splattered on some Scattered Straw ink, using some liquid Perfect Pearls to dilute the ink slightly.

I adhered a black strip to the top and also behind the word to make it pop and then popped the whole lot up on foam tape.  Finally I adhered a stamped flower that I had left over from another project, also using foam tape.  The flower was painted with clear Wink of Stella.

Thanks for visiting.

Friends

Hi!  Today's card features more NBUS - my NBUS pile is getting down - only 10 more sets to go.  However, that doesn't count the orders that are winging their way to me ;)

I bought several Art Impressions Girlfriends sets when they were on special a few months ago and finally getting around to coloring them.  I have another card I'll put up later using another Girlfriends set.

I used the Laughing set for this card and colored the ladies with Copics in pale blue and green.  I then die-cut the image with Blueprints 6 before layering it onto a panel of Sea Glass cardstock.  The word is die-cut with black card and colored with Wink of Stella.

I used the sketch from Can You Case It for this card.  Thanks for visiting.
