It's your day....

 Hi everyone.

Welcome on this cold wintery day, my thoughts are with the people of Sydney who have been impacted by their third round of flooding, such heartbreak.

I have once again been having a play with my Karin Brush Markers and have to say am loving them.  I find they blend beautifully with a watercolour brush on watercolour paper.  For my card I stamped my image onto the watercolour paper and heat set to make sure that it didnt bleed when I added water.

After colouring I fussy cut the image and senitment and foam mounted my image, to create some dimension.

Supplies Used:
Penny Black Stamp - It's your day
Avery Elle Die - Wonky Stitches
Karin Brush markers
Pale Orange, Gold, Rosewood, Cerise, Burgandy,
Apple, Olive Green and Sepia
Wink of Stella - Clear Sparkle
Francheville Sketch and Watercolour Paper - 250gsm

Birthday Hugs....

Dropping in day today  to share my latest card.  It  has been so hot in my little craft space which has made it unbearable to sit in, so have very much enjoyed a few days that have been cooler and much better for crafting.

For my card, I had a first time play with a Penny Black stamp that I have had for a while now.  It has the most cutest little stamps, which made it so hard to choose which one to start with.

To create a little more interest,   I turned my card into a shaker and am loving how it turned out.

Supplies used:

Penny Black Transparent  Stamp - It's your day

Avery Elle Stamp & Die - Simply Said Hugs

Lawn Fawn Die - Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables

Lawn Fawn Die - Stitched Rectangle Frames

Copic Markers

Mouse: E31, E33 & W5

Balloon & Hat: RV00,RV02 & RV55

Mushroom: R24,R27,R37, E70, E71,E74

Grass: YG91,YG93, YG95

Dress my Crafts - Say it with  Heart Sequins

Stickles - Diamond

To create the shaker I cut four layers or the rectangle frame and glued 3 together, then inserted a piece of acetate and glued the top layer down.  One of the centre cutouts from the frame had a piece of patterned paper glued to it and then was attached to the Rectangle Stackable.  I placed a small amount of  "Say it with Hearts Sequins" from Dress My Craft onto the centre of the pattern paper and then glued the frame over the top.

Stitched Flowers.....

Hi everyone, dropping by today to share with you my latest card for the May Challenge starting today over at Bizzy Becs.

For this card I had a play with some Post It tape and created a mask for my flowers so that I could then use Distress Oxides to colour my cardstock.  I choose Tattered Rose as my background colour.  After removing the mask I then coloured up the stamped images with Copic Markers and high lighted the flower centres with my Signo Pen in Gold and White.  I have to say I am more than pleased with the result.

Hi everyone.

Just popping in today to share my latest card.

For the background I used Distress Oxides by applying the colours to a stamping block and spritzing them with water and then sploshed them onto my Bristol Board background, first with Broken China and then using Mermaid Lagoon.  Using my water brush I then flicked the Mermaid Lagoon onto the background.  I followed this by flicking some Interior Antique Gold - Brush n Leaf.

The lovely teddy image from Penny Black was coloured with Copic Markers.

Happy New Year.....

Hi everyone.

Dropping in today to share a new card.  I have been playing with Distress Oxides and some different backgrounds, one of which I have used for my card.  The cloud background is an old cloud die that was cut from acetate and used as a template.

For the frame I have used an Outside In Stitched Rectangle die and by choosing the two largest dies you can create a wonderful frame.

Penny Black Stamp - Restful
Lawn Fawn Die - Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables
Penny Black Die - Celebrations
(this is an old die, but may still be available)
Tim Holtz Distress Oxides - Mowed Lawn, Pine Needles, Mermaid Lagoon

Birthday Hugs.....

Hi everyone.

Popping in today to share with you 1 of 3 cards made from the one technique and so far this one is my favourite.

To create my card I stamped out 10 of the gerbera daisy's from Penny Blacks Blooming Garden and then Copic coloured them.  Each image was then fussy cut and arranged over a backing page and was attached with semi permanent tape, die cut.   I then  used foam tape to attach the pieces to my card, so that they appear to be  floating on the card.

I took inspiration for this card from a technique shown on You Tube  by Jennifer McGuire and the here is the link to her You Tube Video - Floating Die Cut Frame.

It was lots of fun and took a while to arrange the pieces onto the backing card so that they looked nice, but well worth the effort.

supplies used:
Penny Black stamp - Blooming Garden
Avery Elle Die and Stamp - Simply Said Hugs
Copic Markers

Jewel.....

Hi everyone and welcome to the start of another challenge over at Bizzy Becs Store Blog.

For my card for this month I have chosen to colour a new digital image called Jewel.  She and her friends have recently been added to the store and are all super cute.

I have coloured her up using Prisma Coloured Pencils and have to say as my first ever image coloured with pencils was very pleased how she came together.  I will however change the type of paper that I print  onto in future when using pencils.  I used Xpressit paper which I found quite slippery.

supplies used:
Bizzy Becs Digital Stamp - Jewel
Penny Black Transparent Stamp - Sprinkles and Smiles
Lawn Fawn Die - Large Stitched Square Stackables
Dress my Craft - Angel Mix Sequins
Nuvo - Glittler Gloss
