TGIF

The challenge at Thank God It's Friday is "Little Witches." I made this for my October calendar page using stamps from Oxford Impressions.

TGIF -- Words

Yup, you guessed it -- another ATC. So that makes 86 out of the 150 I need to make. This one features one of my favorite stamps -- the round frame from Autumn Leaves. Works perfectly for this ATC.
And the word is one of my favorites t00 -- so it's perfect for TGIF's challenge to use a word or words in your art.

TGIF

When I saw the theme this week at TGIF was "A piece of heaven," this little angel popped immediately into mind. I really love this stamp from Oxford Impressions and use it quite a lot.
I thought she'd also be perfect for an encouragement card I need to send to a friend.
The paper is from K&Co.

TGIF

Thank goodness it's Friday -- and thank goodness that the TGIF challenge blog has posted a challenge where I was forced to pull out my much neglected fruit stamps. Their challenge calls for pears, apples, peaches. I had a couple pear stamps -- plus pineapple, watermelon, lemon, grape, strawberry. All of which I have not even thought about for ages. So you may be seeing fruit popping up a lot in the future:)
For my card I used a small pear stamp by Art Impressions and I do not know who makes the larger pear. I hand wrote pear across the fruit.
Today begins a three-day weekend for us to celebrate the 4th of July. Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!

Rain

The background was offered by ACF in a lovely green color. Seems I'm running out of ink in my printer and I came up with blue. I printed the music from a songbook where I found the words to "Rain."
I created a background using a partial stamp from Hampton Arts of England (thus taking on the challenge of "architecture" at TGIF. The umbrella man is from Stampers Anonymous.

More Marie

I actually was going to use the image of the woman in the hat for yesterday's Theme Thursday piece, but found it too small for what I wanted. So it seems that the challenge at Thank God it's Friday (which is to make an ATC in arch shape) is just the size I need for the images from Oxford Impressions's Marie Antoinette set.

Like our guest artist at TGIF this week, I was inspired to make three of them.

TGIF -- Fish

Here's the fish tag I made for the challenge at TGIF.

The fish chart is from Collage Visions.

Don't know who made the bait bag, but it's a stamp I've had forever.

TGIF (Almost)

This is my contribution to the Thank God It's Friday theme of "smile."
Some new paper from 7 Gypsies provided a great background for Mona (Lost Coast Designs). I like her in that arch. The words are from Rubber Stampede.

Something Different

The note to myself has been sitting there for days -- MAKE BABY CARD. But I just haven't been inspired. Then today I saw the theme at Thank God It's Friday -- exotic birds. And for some reason or another this card just came into my mind. I used a cloth panel of a stork which is from a stash of vintage cards I received.

TGIF

Since I've a ton of birthday cards to send this month, the Thank God It's Friday theme of "wish" came at just the right time.
The image is from Digital Collage Sheets. The definition is from StampinUp.

TGIF

I was working on a project with this new paper from Making Memories, Chloe's Closet (really awesome paper) and I decided to make a card with the scraps I had left over. It's a little different from my usual vintage fare, but it was fun.
I saw the theme at TGIF this week is "green" so figured this would pretty much meet the requirements. I really don't do much more green than this.

Thank God It's Friday

I'm so glad Joanne chose the theme of "books" this week for the Thank God It's Friday challenge. I rarely use this stamp of "Alice Reading" but I like it and am glad for the chance to do so. I also think it's a perfect stamp for a bookmark -- so that's my second one this week!

Thank God It's Friday

I was honored to be asked by Sandy to be the guest hostess at Thank God It's Friday this week. I was given the theme of houses to work with and here is my sample piece.
My images are by Oxford Impressions. Other stamps are by Prima, Art Impressions, Inkadinkado, Studio G.

TGIF

It's a dog theme at TGIF today which gave me a chance to use this new stamp from Artistic Outpost. (They had a fabulous sale after Christmas which made it impossible for me to not buy a couple of their stamp sheets I'd been eyeing.)
All papers are from Making Memories.

TGIF -- And Some Exciting News!

The background I chose for my "Winter Wonderland" piece is from a photograph I took last year when I went on a stamping retreat up in Wisconsin. It was called Silver Birch and you can see one of the lovely silver birches on the left side of the photo. Winter Wonderland is the theme today at Thank God It's Friday. This picture came immediately to my mind.

There's a very good reason why I chose to use stamps from Oxford Impressions on this piece (the girl image and music border). Yesterday I was thrilled to hear that I was chosen to be added to their very impressive list of design team members! Their present DT roster includes many artists whose work I have admired since I started stamping about five years ago.

So I'd say so far this new year is off to a good start!

Thank God It's Friday

With Christmas less than two weeks away, thankfully I'm winding up my Christmas card making for this year. I've made about 70 so far -- each one different.
Today's challenge at Thanks God's It's Friday was "Santa," so I added two more cards to my pile.
This first one is my favorite. Don't know who makes this stamp as I received this image as anRAK from Nancy Maxwell James.
The second one I made just because I adore those vintage papers from DaisyD's. And the Santa image which I downloaded recently (forgive me, I forget where I got it from) seemed to fit perfectly with this retro Christmas card.

Two Challenges in One

I started out making a skinny (3x5) for the Thank God It's Friday Challenge. From there I decided to use the image being offered on Art Creation Fridays.
My background stamp is from Stampsmith.
From there I figured I would turn my skinny into a Christmas card.

Thank God It's Friday

There's no way I could skip the challenge at Thank God It's Friday today -- which is "vintage."
One of my favorite styles to create in!
All stamps are from Oxford Impressions. It's from a new plate of stamps I bought which is called "The Family Man." I really needed some more masculine images and this plate has some really fabulous ones.
The tag in the background was again created with the alcohol inks applied to glossy cardstock and then stamped with blender solution.

TGIF

My friend, Kris, is guest host this week at Thank God It's Friday. Here theme was an open one, but since I can't help but think of Halloween when I think of Kris, I was inspired to make this Halloween card.

Thinking of You

Today I was needing to make a card for a male co-worker. I was totally uninspired.
But then two different challenges got me going. The Thank God It's Friday Challenge called for earth tones. Okay, that's masculine. And Nancy's sketch challenge on 2 Peas in a Bucket helped me put it all together. I remembered this stamp from Paperbag Studios which is an oldie but goodie, and the rest was easy.
I embossed the image with Tim Holtz' distressing EP. Can somebody tell me what I am missing about this stuff? It doesn't seem that much of a difference from regular EP.
Anyway, here is my card for my co-worker whose father died. Glad to have gotten it done:)
