Tim's Tags of 2012 -- September

I really intended this tag (inspired by Tim Holtz' September tag) to be all silver and black as is his -- but in the end it had a mind of its own and became more a fall-ish shades of brown tag.
This tag got going when I adhered silver metallic paper, cut up in pieces like Tim shows, but then ran it through my Cuttlebug with no embossing folder and just let the natural scratches and impressions on my B plate create cool patterns and impressions.
As seen in real life the metallic background is more obvious.  The picture here makes it look more like paper.
This month is the first time I found time to join in with his monthly tags!

Gothic Arch Challenge

The challenge at Gothic Arches today is tags.  How could I resist a tag challenge?  It gave me a chance to use some of my new Tim Holtz paper (which, to tell the truth, makes me feel guilty as it does a lot of the work for you).
I also got to use one of my arch stamps from Invoke Arts as well as do some white embossing because Jacqueline has inspired me to do so.
I created a little door in my arch that opens up to show the image as shown in the second picture.

Baby Tag

I'm always inspired by Martha Stewart packaging. This was a longer package, but I cut it down and saved the transparency that was on top. I added some gorgeous pink paper by Melissa Frances and this baby image from CollageVisions.
The crocheted flower was an RAK from Pam and is perfect here I think.

Tag Tuesday

No, it's not a new challenge site -- it's just a name I made up for today's post as it seems I've been drawn to making tags lately -- and to this little fairy/angel stamp from Oxford Impressions (Fairy Sweets sheet).
She's been popping up all over the place. In this tag I placed her in a frame I cut out from a Crafty Individuals stamp. The text above her is from Hero Arts.

Chipboard Tag

Just a little tag I made with some of the odds and ends sitting around my craft table.
Stamps by Inkadinkado and Tim Holtz.

Tag, You're It

I've been dying to create something with this gorgeous stamp I received as an RAK from Jacqueline. I've also been wanting to participate in the Tag, You're It challenge (which was to use diamonds on your tag.) So the two came together for this tag.

I created an alcohol ink background to stamp my image on as well as the diamond strip on the bottom.

Vintage Tag

My friend Sarah shared an amazing tag she made yesterday using a cool technique with alcohol inks and stamping with the blender solution. I had to give it a try and this is the result.
I used glossy cardstock for my tag. I added Butterscotch and Meadow alcohol inks to the
cardstock with no blender solution. When it was dry I applied the blender solution to my applicator and "inked" up my alphabet stamp (Hampton Arts) and then stamped it over the alcohol inks.
It's a subtle effect, but I like it a lot!

Tag You're It!

I made this tag for Weekend Taggers. I can't keep my husband in bookmarks, so it's always good to have some of these on hand. He's especially fond of dogs, so I included this bloodhound (don't know who makes this stamp -- it's a very old one.) The theme at Weekend Taggers was to include a monogram, so my "F" stands for faithful friend.
