Cherish Chipboard Box

I painted and embellished this little chipboard box with acrylic paint and gesso.
I wiped some orange Staz-On to the sides which kind of gives it a rusty appearance.
The tree stamp is from Inkadinkado. The bird stickers are from Cavallini. The chipboard bird is from Scenic Route.
And better late than never for the This Thursday, It's All About challenge this week which is to use paint.

Mini Matcbhook Cards

I have been cranking these little matchbook cards out like crazy ever since I saw them in Stampington's Holidays and Celebrations magazine. The artist, Ann Tatum, used manila tags to create her matchbook cards. I loved the idea!
Since Wednesday Stamper has an open theme today, I'm showing some of the ones I've made the last few nights.
Stamps are by Inkadinkado, Stampington, Autumn Leaves and Studio G.

Altered Stuff

A few tins I've altered lately fit into the theme at This Thursday It's All About to use circles, ovals, arches, waves, etc.

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things

The theme this week at This Thurday is to make something you love, more or less an open theme. So I've altered this journal using these things I love:
1. This $1 journal from Michael's which came in these amazing colors, just wanting to be altered.
2. The brown background die cut which I got from StampinUp. It's called Top Notes and it is one of my very favorite new things. I've been using it on everything.
3. Images from Crafty Individuals. I just love 'em!
4. This sheet of old German text which someone sent me as an RAK.
5 The word "serendipity." This is the inside page. More things I love:
1. These coupons by Tim Holtz
2. This perfectly appropriate quote (stamp by Inkadinkado).
3. The $1 stamp with the bird flourish.
4. Matching magnetic bookmark.

Altered Photo Album

A few days ago I had on a brown pair of pants with a robin's egg blue shirt. I really liked the color combination and thought to myself I'd have to use it to create something. Today's challenge at Wednesday Stamper calls for brown and another color. So this combo came to mind as I altered the front of this photo album.

Stamps by Paperbag Studios, Cloud 9 Designs and Art Impressions.

It's a similar design to one I did previously as I'm creating an inventory of art to sell. These photo albums make the perfect canvas.

Only two more days until a new vintage forum opens! On Friday, October 10th Vintage Veranda will make its debut.

You can click on the blinkie on the left hand side of my blog to get there and see all the details!

Arty Girlz Challenge

The challenge at Arty Girlz today is to create using clip art. I've had these two pieces I've been meaning to post. On both of them I used what I hope is considered clip art.......This first one is a vintage booklet that has two envelopes inside with tags that can be used for greetings or photos.

This second piece is a chipboard photo holder.

Note cards

I got this new set of Vintage Puns from Stampin Up. They seemed perfect to create sets of note cards to give as gifts. Here is one of four sets I made up.

Altered Photo Albums

I found these very inexpensive photo albums at JoAnn's the other day with the idea to alter the covers. The inside pages already have nice papers added to them, so for $2 it seems like a great gift.
The first one has a stamp from Queens Dresser Drawers. .
The second one is an image from Paperbag Studios.
Both sentiments are stamps from Cloud 9 Designs.
