Glue Book Part 2

I was thrilled to see the enthusiasm expressed about these glue books.  So many of you commented you'd like to try these and it seems the idea is spreading like wildfire.
I showed a lot of my favorite pages last post but I wanted to show you the cover I made as well as a few of my other pages.
Here's the cover:

I had previously created the insert and had it matted with an ivory mat.  I decided after I had attached it to the cover that I would stamp the script squares and butterflies all around the mat.  I was a nervous wreck, because I thought for sure I'd ruin it.  Amazingly it came out just right and everything fit!
Here are some pages that show how I tried to fit my collage into the design of the book -- which as I said had very large flowers throughout:

And a couple more of my vintage image pages:

This last one was a super easy one, but I was just so glad to find a place to put this collage sizing wheel which I never use!

Glue Book

I could do this for hours.  Okay, I did.   Yesterday.  Four hours to be exact.
I first heard of a "glue book" when Sarah shared a page of hers.  She got the idea from Mary of Green Paper.
I found this flower filled book at a thrift shop and thought I could use the pages for ephemera or alter it somehow.  Since the pages really need to be toned down a bit, I thought it might work perfectly for this glue book.   Which consists really of gluing collaged paper to the pages -- no stamps, no ink, no embellishments.  As most of you taggers from Tag Tuesday know, I'm drowning in ephemera (giving it away as Tag Tuesday RAK's), so this was a fabulous way for me to combine the vintage images which I love and use up some of the piles of ephemera I have.
I decided not to over think this and just did it rather quickly, adding images, ephemera however I felt led.  I had some previously stamped work laying around, so I used that on some pages too.  And I was thrilled with it.  It was so relaxing.....as I said I worked on it for hours.   I finished the book, too.  About 32 pages in all  These are some of my faves..
