Background Stamps

I'm liking this Tres Chic background stamp by StampinUp more and more. I saw Allison's blog calling for background stamps and thought I'd play around with this one a little bit more.

This time I white embossed it and am pretty happy with the results. I stamped it on River Rock paper from StampinUp. The accent paper is Purely Pomegranate.

The image is from American Art Stamp. I stamped that in Versafine Black Onyx and then colored it in with gel pens.

American Art Stamps

My local stamp store had a class on these vase stamps from American Art Stamps this week. Here are three of the cards we made.

This final one is a matchbook card.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

I love this skinny leprechaun by American Art Stamps. Of course, the scan doesn't do it justice because the image is colored in with glitter and really sparkles. And that the black paper is really glossy. Perhaps a picture would do better but no time for that before work this morning.
The paper is the reverse side of what I used yesterday for the Gothic Arch which has the same pattern but a different shine to it.
Nonetheless, happy St. Patrick's Day to one and all!
Don't forget the blogoversary give-away coming up in 11 days. Anyone leaving a comment between now and then will automatically be entered!

Published!

I just received the newest issue of CardMaker magazine which published four of my cards for spring -- three for Easter and one for St. Patrick's Day. I was really pleased with the way they were photographed -- made my cards look even better!

I found these little Post-It pads at Big Lots for $1 and thought they'd make great little stocking stuffers if I altered the front of them.

I had some self-adhesive paper from Autumn Leaves which worked well to cover the front and back. This second one has a stamp from American Art Stamp.

Something Different....

.....from the vintage and collage stuff I've been focusing on lately. I picked up these two stamps over the weekend at Hobby Lobby for like $2 each, so I thought I'd try them out.

Both images are from American Art Stamp. These skinny little creatures are not so easy to color.
