This was so exciting! The challenge blog "Make A Moo or Two" was featured in the winter edition of Artful Blogging. I was asked by Nellie, who started the challenge blog, to send in a few of my moos and this large one with the young girl was included in the article.

The November edition of CardMaker magazine also featured these mini Christmas notes I made.

CardMaker Magazine

I saw the new issue of CardMaker Magazine on the stands yesterday, so I can show you two of my cards that were published in it.
I like the inside of this first one as well -- it says, "God keeps his promises."
Stamp is by American Art Stamp.

I made this one from some of the cute $1 Halloween stamps Michaels was carrying last fall from Studio G. I used opaque marker to color in the moon and her stockings and thought it was very effective. The corners and frames were from Making Memories.

CardMaker Magazine's New Website

Cardmaker Magazine has a new website with lots of new and interesting stuff to check out -- including a message forums and card/ATC swaps.
I've jumped in to host an ATC swap for the month of May, so if you'd like to join in just click on the link above, register under card swaps and then respond under ATC swaps. It's my first time hosting a swap so I'm making it very easy -- open theme. They've also got a listing of Designers' Galleries -- and guess who found her name there? I thought that was pretty cool.

Published!

Yesterday's mail brought a complementary issue of CardMaker Magazine because this Father's Day card I had submitted made it into the May issue. It's a little hard to tell from the picture, but it's a matchbook card.

Published!

I just received the newest issue of CardMaker magazine which published four of my cards for spring -- three for Easter and one for St. Patrick's Day. I was really pleased with the way they were photographed -- made my cards look even better!

I've not even put away the Christmas stamps yet and now I've got Valentine's Day on the brain. Must be the new CardMaker Magazine that arrived in the mail yesterday showing one of the cards I submitted for Valentine's Day.

I stamped a flourish design on these "ghost" letters from Heidi Swapp with Black Staz-on. For the heart I stamped some text background from Hampton Arts onto cardstock and then cut out the design and placed it behind the "ghost" heart.

CardMaker Magazine

The November issue of CardMaker Magazine is on the stands so I can share three of the cards that I had published in that issue. All three were fairly simple designs.
Vintage Santa: Santa stamp is from Art By Moonlight. Background paper is DCWV.
Thanksgiving: Stickers from DCWV. Leaf punch by Laura Ashley. Background paper by DCWV, Old World Pack.
Twas the Night Before Christmas: Rub-ons from Creative Imaginations.

This & That.

Has anybody else been having trouble with Blogger? Or is it just me? I had the hardest time accessing my blog or other blogs using blogspot. Took forever to upload things. Frustrating.....

But on a much happier note, an encouragement card of mine was published in the September issue of CardMaker Magazine. Got my copy of the magazine yesterday and was pleased to see the layout.

There were some really good articles in this edition, one on ink distressing techniques and another one on bleach stamping techniques.

Thought I'd share a few interesting things I found the last few days as I was browsing through some blogs:
Pat over at Technique Trail demonstrates a super cool new way to use outline stickers. Something I definitely must try with my leftover stickers.

I love this one -- Mimi at Stamps-A-Latte Stamp Cafe shows a great and cheap way to make those ghost shapes you see everywhere. Go and check this out!

One more thing I've got to try is Kim's fantastic idea over at Kim's Daily Grace for making sheets of "card candy" which are essentially pages of homemade embellishments you can either keep or give away -- or as in her case, sell.

My dog got published.....

I submitted a photo card to CardMaker of my dog lying blissfully in the summer sun -- with sunglasses on. That dog was so good and gentle he'd even let my son dress him up in clothes -- socks and all. Anyway, the new issue just came out and there was our Shadow. He's gone now, so it was a soooooo nice to see that card.

The Girls Club

This card is included in the May edition of CardMaker Magazine. I honestly have to say it is near the top of my list of favorite cards I ever made. There's no stamping on it, just papercrafting, but there's something about the paper, the image, and just the way the whole thing came together that I love. I had never had a card published before where I was paid for it, so that makes this card even more special.

The background paper and tag I used are from DaisyD's. The vintage photo, letters and faux hardware come from Crafty Secrets. I love, love, love their products!
