There's No One Else Like You

Tuesday, July 24, 2018

Hey! I haven't been spending much time inside these last few weeks.  The weather was so warm and beautiful.  Now we have started getting daily thunderstorms that force me back inside and into my craft room! Not a bad thing!  I pulled out this fun Wreath Turnabout set from Concord and 9th.  I decided to stamp in shades of blue and brown. I used Papertrey Ink's Spring Rain, Blueberry Sky, Enchanted Evening and Dark Chocolate.

I die cut the words Thank You using the No One Else Die from WPlus9.  I used both the positive and negative to create two designs at once.  These are quick and easy Thank You cards when you need one in a pinch!

Tropical Thank You

Good morning and Happy Mother's Day!  I thought I'd hop on and tell  you about a few sales worth taking advantage of today. Spoil yourself whether you're a mom or not!  While I'm here I wanted to share this Thank You card I created for the WPlus9 Blog.  I think a Thank You card is appropriate for Mother's Day too!

WPlus9 has a new website.  Have you seen it?  I know Dawn is still working on it, but it looks beautiful! Stop by and have a look.

 Now on to the SALES!

Floral Fantasy

Monday, May 7, 2018

I just realized, as I sat down to type this, that there is almost no stamping on these cards.  That's a rarity for me these days.  I just love these though.  The colors of Papertrey Ink cardstock paired with this fabulous Altenew Floral Fantasy die set is just stunning.

I layered up these flowers using dimensional adhesive.  I decided to put the darkest color on the bottom, the lightest color in the middle, and the mid tone on the top.  I loved the way that looked!

I played around with several placement options for my trio of flowers, but in the end decided to split them up and create two card designs.  They all looked beautiful together, but I felt they overwhelmed the card.  I think a larger canvas, a scrapbook layout, could handle it and look beautiful.

I used part of the 'Thank You' die cut letters to spell out just the word 'You' and then added the secondary sentiment from WPlus9 No One Else coordinating stamp set stamped on PTI's Double Ended Banner Die.

On this second card I used the circle from WP9 Dreamcatcher to ground my flower, leaves and sentiment.  I added the die cut 'Thank You' from Concord and 9th's Bitty Thank You die.

All of my panels were cut using Simon Says Stamp's Stitched Rectangle Die.  I couldn't live without that one!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Hope you enjoyed!

Concord and 9th Painted Roses

Welcome back for another Feature Friday post.  This week the other guest designers and I are on the Concord and 9th Blog sharing our take on the new Painted Rose stamp set and the Painted Rose Die.  It's a gorgeous multi-step stamped large rose and sentiments in a delicate script font.  The die set includes the coordinating rose die as well as this 'thinking of you' die.

I stamped the rose in an all-over pattern using some bright inks on a white cardstock panel.  I used a vellum overlay to soften the background a bit and accented the front with another rose that was cut out using the Painted Rose Die.  I added the die cut 'thinking of you' on top as well.

For this second design I die cut a white cardstock panel using the new Confetti Card Die  and then stamped the 'thanks' in a repeated pattern.  I stamped and die cut another Painted Rose and adhered it to the front.  To go along with the 'thanks' sentiment I added the die cut 'thank you' from the Bitty Thank You Die.
