Crop and some cards

Good morning! I'm trying get back into the swing of things after the weekend. Here is a quick picture of the venue where we had the crop. We had about the same turnout as last year and it was a success, but I'm sure glad that its done and over with.

I want to thank both Clear Dollar Stamps and Cut at Home (my online friends) for helping me out by providing some door prizes/raffles/and goody bag stuff. Both are excellent people and online stores! Make sure to go visit.

Its funny because I can't even imagine the $ amount in that entire room of 40 people with all their scrapping goodies. We had 3 cricut machines plus cartridges in there just to start off with :)

And now for some cards to share. Here are 3 cards that I made using my watercolor crayons. If you want all the details, the first 2 can be found over at Clearly iStamp where I posted a tutorial on one of the ways I use my pencils.

And this one, I sent off as a little thank you card. But guess what, its not a folded card. I should really make more like this. It saves on paper and weight, but most of the time I just forget.

Thanks for visiting and I'm hoping to get around to visiting all my blogger friends and actually commenting and saying hi. I've been negligent! I hope you have a wonderful day!

General Recipe: All stamps are Clear Dollar, Cardstock and paper is Papertrey ink and Close to my Heart, Nesties, Paper Piercer, Embossing Folder, Watercolor Pencils, Blending pen, Aqua Painter.

An award, mark your calendars, challenge/sketch card

Hi again! Lots of stuff today :) First, I want to say thanks to Mandy over at Limelight Papercrafts for sending this award my way. I haven't seen this one before and its cute. Go check out her goodies at her store, especially those Kaisercraft self-adhesive pearls and rhinestones (sorry can't help myself, I just love those).

And since I've got Limelight on the mind, make sure you tune in tomorrow for another great sketch and product challenge. All the details will be right here first thing in the AM.

So back to the award. Here are the rules:

1. The winner can put the logo on their blog
2. Link the person you received your award from
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs
4. Put links of those blogs on yours.
5. Leave a message on the blogs of the girls or boys you’ve nominated.

It is now my turn to pass this cute little award on. Of course, I love everybody's blog that is on the side bar and I also have quite a few blogs in my bookmarks that I just haven't linked yet, but still visit, but I will "feature" some for now.

Now here is my challenge and sketch card. I've been trying to combine things as much as possible when and if I remember. The challenge can be found at Stamp Something (summertime) and the sketch is from CPS and its #78.

I used FREE stamps - how cool is that? Well ok, they weren't totally free, but they were free with a $50 purchase over at Clear Dollar Stamps. That is about as free as you can get - right? Anyway, I thought this set would be perfect because of the summer theme. I used Close to my Heart Cardstock, patterned paper and embellies for it. I also used Prisma Watercolor pencils to give my images some color.

Thanks again for visiting!

Recipe
Cardstock: Desert Sand, Crystal Blue, Outdoor Denim, White Daisy
Designer Paper: Majestic Blue level 2
Stamps: August Stamp Special (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Other: RicRac, Circle and Scallop Punch, Prisma Watercolor Pencils, Nestabilities

Beate's Weekend Sketch Card

Yeah! I got Beate's weekend sketch done in a timely fashion. This card is rather unusual for me in a couple of ways. I can guarantee that I have never used these colors together before, but I didn't randomly pick them out of a hat either. I put in a couple of colors that I was interested in using into what could be called a CTMH color generator and this is what it spit out. Does it work?? Click -->HERE<-- for the site. The other thing about his card is that I didn't use any patterned paper. Hmmm... again, does it work? The stamps that I used were the cute little monkeys from July's Stamp of the Month - little animals are so "in" at the moment and these guys are cuuute. Cardstock: Topiary, Taffy, Amethyst, Sunny Yellow (CTMH), Ink: Cocoa, Topiary, Taffy (CTMH), Stamps: Life's a Jungle, Frienship Word Puzzle (CTMH), Other: Prisma Watercolor Pencils, Blending Pen, SU! Photo Corners Punch, Sewing, Brads, and my Cricut to cut out the scallop circle

No Lion, you're the best

Good morning! I just got brand new not released Close to my Heart stamps yesterday and this set is uber cute. I love it! It will be the Stamp of the Month for July (I think). The whole set is a jungle theme and did I say its super cute yet??

This is one of those cards that did not turn out the way I wanted - everything is just a bit off ( I won't bore you with the details), but I didn't not want to share it, since I did spend time making it. Plus, its really the stamp and sentiment that I wanted to share. All the puns out there are so popular right now and now CTMH has a set of their own. Did you notice the little thank you charm? When I finally found those little flowers at Michaels that I read about on Lauren Meader's blog there were these very cute charms right next to them. They are perfect for a little dangle on a card. I also had to share my new oval nestabilities that I got yesterday too. I've been waiting and waiting for this shape and I think I will get a ton of use out of them.

Cardstock: Colonial White, Ponderosa Pine, Autumn Terracotta (CTMH), Printed Paper: Expedition (CTMH), Stamps: Life's a Jungle (CTMH), Ink: Black Staz on, Cocoa (CTMH), Other: Ribbon (CTMH), Charm from Michaels, Nestabilities Oval, SU! Horizontal Slot Punch, Prisma Watercolor pencils, Blending Pen

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a great day!

birthday wishes - Bella Card

Howdy friends! Here is a quick post of a card that I just finished. I love these bellas. Check them out -->HERE<--, I love them! This particular bella isn't in my possession, but was sent to me by a friend from the cricut message board. Isn't she cute? Her name is Imeldabella. I wish I had a cute pair of boots like these, but my calves are too fat - for real!!!

The card is sized to be a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" but it is a tri-fold. I love this look, but haven't ever made a card this size. I just used patterned paper and attached my bella off a bit so it looks centered on the front. Anyway, enjoy!

Cardstock: GP White, Pansy Purple - it has a light and dark side and I used both for the mats (CTMH), Patterned Paper: From Joann's, Ink: Staz on black, Pansy Purple (CTMH) Stamps: Bella, Limitless Labels (PTI), Other: Prisma Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pen, Hero Arts Rhinestones, Paper Flowers from Michaels's, EK Success Circle Punches

Its a JUNGLE out there... sketch

***sidenote here*** it's very late here and when I did this card, posted, etc and then I came to double check it, I realized that I had used the wrong image for my sentiment. Ack!!! Oh well...

Well, it can be a jungle out there! Its a good thing that there are cute creatures like this one to give you hug and maybe a human one too! Isn't this little guy adorable. I haven't gotten to use him much, but thought he would look great on this week's sketch that Lauren Meader posted on her blog.

I kept the whole thing pretty simple. Not terribly sure I love this card, but its cute and will cheer up someone's day for sure. I would like to try a different of version of this sketch if I have time.

Cardstock: Autumn Terracotta, Olive (CTMH)
Printed Paper: Expedition (CTMH)
Ink: Black (CTMH)
Stamps: Monkey Love - C.C. Designs Rubber Stamps
Other: Prisma watercolor pencils, Cricut (ovals and grass at bottom - the shapely stuff not the messy stuff (haha), and computer sentiment (its a jungle out there)

Hope your out of the JUNGLE for now!!!

You take the Cupcake!

Oh my! I really love this set from CTMH
It is really very cute and I feel very versatile. Everything is CTMH except for the black cardstock (bazzill) and "celebrate today" sentiment(PAPERTREYink). Its their very newest Mixed Messages set. I did use versamark to stamp the sentiment and then embossed it with white powder so it would really stand out from the black. Oh, I forgot the glitter and the liquid appliqué for the cupcakes.

Flowahbella

This is a card that I made to cheer up a friend who is down in the dumps - you know how that is. I hope she likes it.

This bella was colored in with Prisma watercolor pencils and all the paper is DCWV textured cardstock. Ribbon is from Michaels (I love their sheer line) and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. I'm posting 2 pictures because in person the plain was (I thought) very pretty, but then I took a picture of it and in the picture it looked so plain, so I added a silk flower. Sometimes that little something is so hard to find. I had really wanted to use some sort of tab for the sentiment but I couldn't find just the right size...

A favorite Stamp Set

I have to say that this has been one of my newest fav stamp sets from Close to my Heart. It is just tooo cute. I really feel like this set is pretty versatile. All the following cards come from this set.

I am waiting for some copic markers to come but for these I used watercolor pencils and I think they are just as pretty with the pencils.
