Its almost T-ball time...

Yup, we'll be signing up the twins for T-ball in the next couple of days, but today I've got a bit of altered art to show you. The boys played T-ball last year and we got our photos and as you know they always come accompanied by a frame.

I didn't want the frame to go, but it is indeed boring so I opted to alter it :) And lucky for me I had this awesome new paper that TaDa just released. Mary and Annette added just 2 lines as a little mini release.

This paper is so awesome, I loved it. It was like they had made it just for me. In this particular picture I'm sharing Will with you...

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Clear Dollar Stamps - Sneak Peek #2 - Charlie Daisy

Well first off, I have to share this photo from yesterday afternoon. I was completely caught off guard and that was probably becuase I hadn't been watching the news, but WOW! It all started with our normal rain, then it turned to hail, and then finally snow and it hasn't really stopped since.

The funny thing is that Hunter and I were just talking about how we probably wouldn't see any more snow - how wrong was I??

So now onto some light, fun, and definitely springy stamps from Clear Dollar Stamps.

I'm showcasing the ever so popular Charlie and today he definitely has a spring in his step. To be honest my favorite component of this first card is the butterfly. I thought this paper from TaDa Creative Studios just worked so well with Charlie - doesn't he seriously look happy :)

My second favorite component to this card is the sentiment. Everybody should be happy shouldn't they? No matter what, everybody deserves to be happy. I also used a new nestability that I managed to get my hands on at CHA - the deckled edge. The little flower I colored with my Copic and layered on top of a silk one and topped it off with a bit of Kaisercraft bling.

My next project was made to meet Laurie's (our teams fearless leader) challenge for using something recycled. I've been using the containers that Crisco cubes are packaged in for a while now to store my cuttlebug dies and small embossing folders. They fit perfectly in the containers. Laurie's challenge was the perfect incentive to actually decorate my little containers.

See, you can actually see the expiration date - not my intention (lol) I used a really cute flower border that is included in the Charlie Daisy set and then added Flower Soft to where the flowers are in the stamp. I'm telling you, you've got try the flower soft. It is just too terribly cool. The color I used here is Sweet Pea and is super versatile. Here is a close up. I would also recommend getting the bottle of glue that Flower Soft makes for application.

Now, here is a picture of the container being used for its "new" purpose.

So there you have it - another must have set. All you have to do is wait just a few more days. In the meantime, head on over to these lovely ladies blogs for even more inspiration and eye candy.

I need a bigger bed

I know that many of you Moms and Dads can relate, but a queen size bed is just not big enough for me, my husband, 2 two year olds, 2 "bear bears", an extra large Winnie the Pooh. The boys are really very good sleepers, but on that occasional evening when one of them gets upset, it generally wakes up the other one and its just too hard to resist letting them come snuggle in bed with us *sigh*. So, curled up on the very edge of the bed I finished off my night's sleep.

Kevin's big gripe usually has to do with those nubby bottoms on the feet of the boys' sleepers. He doesn't think they feel all that great when the boys are pushing at him with their feet. Hmmm... I don't know why not.

Anyway, here is the goodie I want to share. Are you sick of hearts and sweets yet??? Of course not, who could get tired of chocolate surrounded by something pretty.

I found this oh so cute little wrap on Nichole Heady's blog. I never realized what could be done with those chocolate nuggets.

Stamps: PAPERTREYink, Stampendous (sentiment)
Paper: CTMH
Ink: CTMH
Embellishment: CTMH ribbon
Other: Cricut (tag)

Hope everyone has a great day!

Altoid Tin

Alright, you have to understand that I'm not a huge alterer, so I'm pretty pleased as to how this turned out. I made a few business cards for myself and thought the altoid tin would be perfect to house them in, but of course it needed to look pretty. Everything on the tin is from CTMH. I did emboss the paper that is on the inside lid and the bottom of the tray using guess what? the cuttlebug. I LOVE, LOVE this machine. Unfortunately, I did have to use the corner rounder on all my cards so they would fit in the tin though. I don't really like the gold showing, but for now this will work.

Plastic, Paper, and Chocolate - Oh my!

Today, I've been working on a variety of things for a variety of reasons, but I wouldn't be able to do it in so much comfort if it weren't for my very dear and perfect (remember, no one is perfect), for right now he is... husband. He has been working on our basement for many months and it is in my opinion just right for us. I get to come down here either by myself or I can bring the kids down and we can all be together and I can still get my "crafty" things done. Until now, the basement was a place for adults only - no children allowed and now it is a great family area.

So... here is one project I've been working on. These are little goodies that are going to be prizes at my open house this Saturday. They are tubes that CTMH Ribbon Rounds come in. I just added some paper, a stamp, and of course some yummy goodies inside and you have the perfect combination!

Altered Calendar

Ok, I am continuing to get my toes wet with this whole blogging "thing". I can't say that I will be able to keep it up regularly, but I am sure going to try. This is a calendar that I purchased at the Dollar Store and I chose a black one because I had the perfect Close to my Heart paper to make it pretty. I wanted a very simple look with no embellishments because I knew that this planner would be handled frequently (fingers crossed).
