She sent some of the 8x8 October Afternoon paper called Cherry Hill and it is so cute. I originally wanted to make a teacher card, but I still think this could/will pass for a teacher appreciation card if I wanted it to. Aren't those apples in the background just too cute.
I dug around for the perfect limey green to match those couple of apples in the background paper and low and behold I found it in my Basic Grey paper pad (Urban Prairie).
Then it was just matter of really embellishing this card. Brandi also included some matching Rub Ons
Now check out that flower. Nichole Heady added her take on all the crochet patterns out there and I have to say that her little pattern is cute. I like the one layer version. For my flower, I didn't use floss or yarn at all, I used some twine that I purchased at my local scrapbooking store. I saw that red and immediately thought if would be perfect. I topped it off with a PTI button and more twine through the button. I love the look.
Thanks for coming to visit and hanging with me. I hope you had a good day and will enjoy the rest.
