Easter hoppenings

We had a very hoppy easter this year. We took the girlies on an Easter picnic to Hollybank and grandma and frumpa came too we lit the fire and just sat, chatted and relaxed. The girlies took their bikes and spent quite a bit of time exploribg 'the woods' I can remember going on picnics to hollybank with my grandparents. I have a couple of photos and will share them soon. We took the yard ornament to mum and dads today so its out of the way and ouf of the weathee otherwise its been a quiet and relaxing long weekend. Otherwise its all quiet on the home front dh leaves on Sunday, the kids go back to school next Monday and the car goes into the smash repairers first thing Monday morning for the week thank goodness we always take the hire car option with our insurance. So i will be back soon with our easter pics xx

Supersized

I know they are HUGE
but at least if they ever get double beds
their quilts will fit and they won't need new ones

both sides hit the floor, my dad told them they would
now have somewhere to hide their junk where I wouldn't see it

thanks Dad lol

Miss I's and Harry

Miss S's and her pj's

the poor car

oh well as they say shit happens
and its very fixable and still driveable
just doesn't look the best,
I personally want to add

'a mans work' to it but I am not allowed too lol

Weekend wrap up

Saturday morning we took a drive up the coast to
collect our much missed yard ornament

the camper trailer

and after only 2 goes and lots of OMG's by me it was in
the driveway, then we got to open it up and see just
what was hiding inside

and on the way home I recieved a text from my brother, with this picture

the girlies had decorated Buddha

nothing exciting was found just camp stretchers, matresses
camping stuff and the bike rack

So on Sunday after I went to the gym we loaded up the car with 5 bikes and
took the girlies on a bike ride.

We had a ball,  Miss I needs a new bike as she has
outgrown hers and she requested next time could we not
ride sooooo far lol we rode 2 kms in total on flat ground.....

Today I was off to the gym to do a cardio workout when I had the
urge to do the zig zag track, the first time I did it, it took me 55 minutes
from the car and back to the car, in along the Gorge path and back via the track

today it took me 39 minutes so my gym visits are paying off fitness wise :)

at the start of the zig zag track

the view from the top of the track

and less than 10 minutes from the car, can you see the Gorge path?
Thats the path I take to get to the ZZ track

Friday night was a cold one so we had a visitor inside

the naughty puppy if only he was this calm when he does come inside
he would be allowed in far more often.

Still need a photo of the supersized quilts, I am waiting for the
bunkers bedroom to be cleaned up.

and I have to show you what happened to my car today while I was out
with mum and dad seeking a suitable easter sunday picnic venue

nothing a little 4 day holiday at the smash repairers won't fix. We are just happy
I wasn't in it so no one was hurt and the other party left their details under the
wiper for me.

Mind you it was parked outside my parents house and another neighbour witnessed
it lol I can laugh about it now, but I was FURIOUS when we saw it....

10 days thats all we have had it for 10 days.....

so more photos to come hopefully tomorrow

Slack I know

No photo of the supersized quilt....

the only stitching I have done lately is of the

matching supersized quilt.

1 side left to go

yay!

All is quiet on the homefront

busy with the girlies

and the house

booking flights for NSW

he leaves May 1st

and I have to say I am looking forward to some

time out, I am a bit over him wanting to go where ever I go

questioning where I am going, what I will be doing

who I will be seeing

I have been spending quite a bit of time at the gym

for peace lol

don't get me wrong its nice having him here but

geez louise, 24 hours a day together is starting to get

to me. I might need to spend some time in my sewing room

next week, while he packs his shed up

very very slowly

2 boxes packed, and too many more to go

we are off to collect our yard ornament tomorrow

the camper trailer, so we can see what is in there, and pack it ready to

go in August, so I will just need to add food and clothes.

its just what everyone needs in their front yard.....

I will be back sometime over the weekend

with the super sized quilts....

promise :)

I've got a finish

Finally

but no photo YET

I stitched the last side of Miss S's

super sized quilt....I say super sized

because each side hits the floor

oops, maybe I should have measured her bed

before I made it lol

at least she will be warm....

now to stitch Miss I's super sized quilt binding down

then I have Miss E's 2 super sized quilts.

Could be a big month of finishes for me.........

photo to come tomorrow

Change is as good as a Holiday!

We have had a change of plans

yippee

and because of that change the girlies and I

get to have another 3 months here in our much loved home

Dh starts his new job on May 2nd

he has a 3 month probationary period before the job

becomes permanent so we have decided that

he will go on ahead to make sure its the right job for him

and if it is the girlies and I will pack up and ship out mid august

and if its not well then its a one way flight back home for him

and tonight we are celebrating but shhhh don't tell Weight Watchers lol

because we have a new(ish) car.

Today I said goodbye to my much loved and adored Holden Astra

I became a wee bit emotional when

I had to hand over the keys lol

then we said hello to the new and improved Aspro

which is actually a Ford Territory

with LOADS of room for the girlies

and even enough room for the naughty puppy.

Sadly we had to upgrade so we could tow our very expensive

yard ornament (the camper trailer) to NSW when we finally go.

Eden NSW

Will be our new home

such a pretty little town, great views, lovely people

a fantastic primary school

a rig supply ship in Port on our first morning

the woodchip pile waiting for a ship to come and collect it

Our new home lol, not really but I would love it

Yesterday we had the day to ourselves so we went touring arournd
found ourselves in

Bega, home of Bega cheese

and at Tathra, home of the Tathra Wharf

Tathra

then onto Merimbula

I have discovered there are 3 shops that sell Patchwork supplies in
Merimbula, I only checked out 1, fabric was cheap but not very
nice, I will be sure to check out the other 2 when we get settled in

So our plan of attack is for dh to go first, once he has found us somewhere to
live, the girlies and the animals and I will get the removalists in, pack up,
clean our house from top to bottom, load up the car, collect our camper trailer
catch the ferry to Melbourne and drive to Eden.

well that is our plan.......

and we all know plans are subject to change lol

so thats what I have done over the last 2 days

Looking forward to getting some sewing done tonight,
I forgot to take some with me :(

I am Back

and so very happy to be home.

Had a great time away

meet some fabulous people

looked at a delicious house

ate way to much yummy food

found a fantastic coffee shop

mabye had a couple to many drinks

and learnt that I am definately NOT

a B&B kind of girl lol

and that I am not so good when I have to wait in

aiports for 4 hours, only to board the plane and

get stuck on the tarmac for 30 minutes because of a

storm!

Anyhoo I am home

about to go to bed

and sometime tomorrow after I have collected

my girlies will be back with photo's

and tell you all about it!
