Finished!

I got a lot done on this, this week. Mainly I think this is due to have a long weekend and week off, so there was perhaps more telly watching than usual (watched quite a bit of the Jubilee stuff) - I did carry on with it one extra night (tonight) as I only had half a letter and one leaf to finish and wanted to get it done.

Next week, back to my houses/street scene, but the week after, I will choose a new alternate piece (I know what it will be, as it happens, but you'll have to wait to see!)

Cross stitch update

Quite a bit done this week, although it may not look like a lot - those solid fill areas take a while and actually the oatmeal (whitish) petals on the flower took a lot longer than I thought they would.

Cross stitch update, finally

A good start made on the flower on the right hand side of the stem  - a lot better than last week, when I didn't stitch at all, and therefore didn't blog any cross-stitch progress...

Cross-stitch update

Definite progress - filled in both leaves on the left, which was fairly mindless - I did use a different colour to the one given as DMC equivalent in the bottom leaf, because the colour given - the peachy one on the spirally frond above - had very little contrast with the outline of the leaf. Also did quite a bit more on the letters. Next week, back to the houses.

Cross-stitch update

A little progress this week on the wildflower - I have stitched the outline of the second leaf and begun to fill in the first one. Maybe next time there will be more progress...

Cross-stitch update

As you can see, some progress this week, though I can spot an error in the purple outline of the leaf. I do enjoy designs which come along quickly!

Cross stitch update

Back to the wildflower this week - making good progress; the pieces with sections of the same colour always go faster than those with loads of changes...

Cross-stitch update

As promised, I have abandoned the "Winter" piece for a while and instead, stitched up some other bits and pieces. First up, this little birdie - he's only small, so he didn't take long to do - two evenings, perhaps.

So then I went on to this little sampler, again only a few evenings because it's only little.

And then I started on this larger piece. Not much exciting to show yet, but here's what the finished piece will look like:
