olen reissun päällä muutaman päivää joten julkaistavaksi nyt jo viime viikolla valmistunut kortti. Kyseessä on DT-työni tämän viikkoiseen Koukussa Kortteihin haasteeseen, jossa kortin innoittajana haluttiin nähdä aforismi. En löytänyt millään mitään inspiroivaa, kaunista sananpartta (lähinnä ällö-imeliä vain löytyi...) joten lähdin humoristisemmalle linjalle. :) Leimakuvan olen värittänyt Copiceilla lukuunottamatta sateenvarjoa ja saappaita, jotka on "puettu". Mukavaa viikonlopun jatkoa sinulle ja kiitos vierailustasi! Olen saanut teiltä ihania kommenttaja viime aikoina, kiitos niistä ihan jokaisesta!

I'm away from home for couple of days so I'll show you a card I made already last week. It's my DT piece for Hooked On Cards (the site needs registration and is in Finnish only) where we were wanted to create cards inspired by aphorisms. I tried to look for beautiful, inspiring sayings but could only find really cheesy ones... So I opted for something funny instead. :) If I try to translate it, the saying says something like " Why complain about the weather? If we wouldn't have weather to discuss, 9 out of 10 people would have nothing to talk about". My image is colored with Copics apart from the paper pieces umbrella and boots. Oi kun olen nauttinut kortteilusta tänään ja eilen -oli niin helpotus saada Sinellin kisatyöt valmiiksi parin  viikon pähkäilyn päätteeksi. :) Tämä korttini on tehty muutamaa haastetta silmällä pitäen, haasteet näet käännöksen lopussa. Ispiksen tähän korttiin tarjosi Niinu kortillaan täällä, kiitos Niinu! Hoksasin omistavani saman tyyppisen leimasimen ja siitä se sitten lähti. Tytön siivet ovat todellisuudessa kankaisia lehtiä ja kukkiin laitoin kultaista Sticklesiä. Oikein ihanaa viikonloppua kaikille ja kiitos kauniista, kannustavista kommenteistanne, joita minulle ahkerasti jätätte!

I want to tell you how much I've enjoyed card making yesterday and today after finishing my cards for the 2nd round of Sinelli DT Competition... Tons of creative space from my brain became unoccupied. :) I made this card for couple of challenges, please check the list under this text. I was inspired by Niinu and her card here. I realized I had a similar stamp and off I went stamping, thanks Niinu! The wings I've attached for my girl are actually fabric leaves but they look a bit like wings, don't they? I also added some golden Stickels to the flowers. Have a very nice weekend and I want to thank all of you who so often make my day with your lovely, supportive comments. "See" you soon again! :)

ja kiitos kaikille viime viikon aikana blogissani vierailleille, uusia lukijoitakin olen saanut, kiitos siitä, ihana juttu! Nyt olen palannut lomareissultani ja vapaan hetken tultua singahdin heti askartelupöydän ääreen. Suloinen Ella-tyttönen on Sugar Nellien leimasin ja muuten elämäni ensimmäinen leimasinhankinta vuoden takaa. :) En ollutkaan ennen kokeillut leimakuvan "pukemista" ja sehän oli kivaa! Silppulaatikon sisältöäkin sain hyödynnettyä -taitaa syntyä seuraavakin kortti tällä samalla tekniikalla. Kuvaa voit halutessasi klikkailla isommaksi. First of all I want to thank everybody who visited my blog during last week, I even have some new readers, it feels great, thank you! I'm back from my trip and made this card immediately when I had the time...The  sweet Ella-girl from Sugar Nellie is the first stamp I ever bought 1 year ago! I had actually never tried "dressing up" the stamped image before and it was really fun, I think I will try it again in my next card to get all those little bits and pieces of left-over paper used...
