New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Happy New Year friends!

We have the first challenge of 2016 for you at Inkspirational. It's a real fun one: "Thank You with Something New". I chose a sentiment by STAMPlorations and flower stamps and dies by My Favorite Things -that set is new to me. The set was released early last fall but I've never used these stamps before this time.  I've colored the images with Copics and added Wink of Stella and Stickles for shine and glitter. A lot of pretty sparkle in this card. :) Just a couple of sequins to finish off the card.

Our guest designer this time is Maaike. She has a very cute and fun CAS style, do not miss her blog! There's lots of DT inspiration for you in the challenge blog, enjoy!

Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you playing along at Inkspirational.

I'd like to enter Mod Squad Challenge: One Die Cut. I hope this card is fine because the die is used twice! Please remove my card from the linky if it won't work.

New Challenge at TIME OUT!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at TIME OUT where we are inspired by words :

Autumn...the year's last, loveliest smile' (William Cullum Bryant)

You could be inspired by the whole sentiment or just choose one word like Autumn or Smile. I can't wait to see what you come up with! If you need some inspiration, check what our DT members and talented guest designer Glenda have made for you. Glenda shows some fabulous skills in her card, don't miss it!

I've created my card with a STAMPlorations stencil, STAMPlorations sentiment stamps and Distress Inks. I was mainly inspired by the word Autumn and decided to go for leaves in autumn colors. Very simple! I do like the blended look of the colors. I hope you do to! Thanks for popping by and see you at TIME OUT!

Congratulations Shery!

Hi friends!
Shery, the owner and designer of STAMPlorations has recently become a new Mum of cute, cute baby Catherine! We are celebrating this happy event at TIME OUT Challenges where we are sharing some baby cards we've made for our DT buddy Shery. If you'd like to join in the celebrations you could also make a baby card for Shery and link it up to STAMPlorations blog here : the STAMPlorations DT girls are throwing a surprise blog hop for Shery.

In my card I've used STAMplorations stamps, patterned paper and some lace and ribbon as embellies. I thought lace and ribbon would work lovely in a baby card and although the look of this is a bit "super traditional" it's quite cute too. :) Hope you like! Please head on over to TIME OUT Challenges and have a look what the other DT girls have created for Shery... And then consider making a card for her yourself! Have a fun week and thanks for popping by!

Lines!

PopUp_logofinalV3

Hi friends!
There's a very cool challenge "POP up" challenge at The Daily Marker blog along with inspirational videos on how to add lines to your card making and incorporate coloring too. Click here for the direct link to the challenge post. I'd also like to enter the masking challenge at Happy Little Stampers (click here for the challenge): my masking is really basic -I just masked off the top half of my card but I hope this qualifies anyway!

I've used line stamps from PTI and a STAMPlorations sentiment stamp in my card. I colored the spaces between the lines with my Copics -no shading this time. I decided to use a monochromatic color palette. I really like the graphic look of this and am grateful for these inspiring challenges! I had fun!

New Challenge at TIME OUT!

Hi friends!
We have a new challenge for you at TIME OUT, we are inspired by words

"Friendship is Golden"

You can be inspired of the whole sentiment or just part of it -Friendship or Gold. I went for the whole sentiment -I think this card would be very suitable to give to a good girlfriend and it sure is golden! I used 3 different shades of gold: 2 different style of gold card and gold embossing powder. This was a nightmare to photograph because of all the glitter and shine but I hope you'll trust me when I say it looks quite girly and pretty IRL. The die-cut flower and the sequins are very shiny... And the dry-embossed bg and heat embossed sentiment are more muted and "sophisticated".

I'd love to see you joining us at TIME OUT! The DT has made wonderful samples for your inspiration. Our guest designer this time is Cornelia and I simply adore her interpretation of our words. Don't miss her card! Take TIME OUT and join us!

You'll also find inspiring cards from the design team and guest designers Melissa, Karola and Irena. Did you know we also have digi stamps at STAMPlorations? Check out what our guest designers made with them, you'll love their work!

I've used several STAMPlorations stamps in my project! Here's links to all of the products I used in this card:

Hope you like!

Sadly this is my last DT project for STAMplorations. I've been in the design team since December 2013 (if I remember correct!) and now is time for me to move on... I've truly enjoyed playing with Shery's stamps and getting to know fun blogging people through STAMPlorations. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Shery for the possibility to be part of her team and her growing, growing, growing business! All the best for STAMPlorations and Shery. And thanks again.

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi guys!
My good friend Sandie, a fellow team member at Inkspirational has chosen this theme for the next challenge: Grunge! Sandie makes amazing grunge CAS cards but for me, grunge is very terrifying... Luckily this time the card came together quite easily! If you are unsure how to bring grunge into your crafty projects, check out the challenge blog: there's a very helpful definition of the style. You'll also find inspiring projects from Ink Design Team and our very talented guest designer Ashwini.

My card is created with some STAMPlorations stamps, a small square stamp by Hero Arts, Memento inks and a couple of enamel dots. A very simple one layer. Hope you like! I hope to see you playing along and wish you all a wonderful weekend!

STAMPlorations 2nd Birthday Blog Hop Day 5!

Hi friends!
It's the final day of STAMPlorations 2nd Birthday Blog Hop! Please click here for the blog hop post in STAMPlorations blog where you'll find all the information about blogs participating in the blog, the amazing prizes and how to win them! :)

In my card I've used two od the new birthday themed stamp sets:

I've used simple masking, sponging and stamping techniques in creating my card. I quite like how this turned out -these stamps are great for masculine cards too if you pick manly colors -this one could be "unisex" I think! :)

Hope you like and thanks for participating in the hop. Check out what the rest of the team made! You'll find links to all birthday blog hop projects here.

New Challenge at STAMPlorations!

Hi guys!
It's time for a new month long theme challenge at STAMPlorations. Click here for the challenge post in our blog! The theme is "Stamps and Distressing" and I'm sure you'll love to look at the fun projects the design team members and guest designers Melissa and Lee Ann created! If you'd like to guest design for STAMPlorations you know what to do: play along in our challenges and you could be chosen!

In my card I've used image stamps from Trendy Leaves and sentiment stamp from VIGNETTE: Chevron and Arrows. I've stamped the leaves with several shades of Memento Inks. The card base was given a worn, distressed look with sponging inks on it. I added a piece of design paper and some twine and that's it for this card! Very simple! :) The weather in Finland has been quite cold all summer so I guess that's why I was drawn to these fall-like colors. ;) Hope you like and see you at STAMPlorations!

STAMPlorations 2nd Birthday Blog Hop Day 2!

Welcome to STAMPlorations 2nd Birthday Blog Hop! Please click here for the post in our main blog. You'll find all the prize info and list of blogs participating in the hop there. Basically, the more you comment, the better changes you have for winning some of our amazing prizes!

In my card for Day 2 I've used 3 STAMPlorations sets:

Party Time
Party Girl
The Birds and The Blooms

I masked the dress after stamping it and created a bed of flowers for it. I wanted to use lots of happy, summery colors and played with some of my favorite Copic combinations. I also added white dots to the dress with white gel pen. Hope you like!

Check out what the rest of the team made! You'll find links to all birthday blog hop projects here.

STAMplorations 2nd Birthday Blog Hop Day 1!

Welcome to STAMPlorations 2nd Birthday Blog Hop! Please click here for the post in our main blog. You'll find all the prize info and list of blogs participating in the hop there. Basically, the more you comment, the better changes you have for winning some of our amazing prizes!

For my DT card for Day 1 I've used a sentiment stamp from the brand new Party Time stamp set and combined it with a flower from Blooming Buds stamp set. I water colored the flower with DI:s -not my usual style but I wanted to have a go of something different for a change. It's not too bad... But I'm back with my Copics again tomorrow...  And I do think that feels more like myself. :) At least I would need a lot of practicing with my water coloring... And I don't have the patience to always wait for the layers to dry... So everything ends up pretty blended and there's no contrasts. Oh well. ;)

Check out what the rest of the team made! You'll find links to all birthday blog hop projects here.

New Challenge at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
We have a great new challenge for you at Inkspirational Challenges! When writing this post I'm especially proud and happy to be part of this design team: today I've been spending time in London not only with my wonderful host and good friend Sandie but also Inspirational "boss" Marina. Both of these ladies are hilarious company and amazing card makers: I hope you'll visit their, and the rest of the Ink design team blogs! Our guest designer this time is Jenny. Do leave her some love too!

In my card I've used a new STAMplorations stamp set called Blooming Buds. I've done my coloring with Copics and created the layout of my card with the help of Retro Sketches from last Saturday. By the time this post goes live I'm too late to link this card up to their gallery but I did love the sketch! I gave this card to Sandie when I arrived here in London so I used a color palette I thought she would like and also used an embossing folder she has said she likes. Luckily she seemed happy when receiving her card. :)

I still have a whole weekend ahead of me here in England... I hope you are all enjoying your weekend as much as I am! See you at Inkspirational Challenges!

New Challenge at One Layer Christmas Cards!

Hi friends!
We have a new fun challenge for you at One Layer Christmas Cards, here. The DT has created great cards for your inspiration... Do check them out! Our challenges are always "Anything One Layer Christmas Goes" but if you want to have a chance to win in our monthly prize draw be sure to use the optional twist "Green"!

My one layer card is created with a tree stamp and sentiment stamp by STAMPlorations and with a snowflake stamp, I can't remember the maker of that one now. I sponged the bg with lighter green ink, stamped the trees with darker green ink and used silver-colored metallic ink for stamping snowflakes to the bg. I added rhinestones to the centers of the snowflakes. Hope you like!

New Challenge at TIME OUT!

Hi guys!

I'd like to see you joining us in our new challenge at TIME OUT Challenges. This time we are inspired by words:

Happy is the Bride that the Sun Shines on

You can be inspired by the whole sentiment or just choose one word or some words as your starting point: for example Bride or Sun.

Our guest designer this time is Sue. If you are not familiar with her blog Sues's Card Craft  you are in for a CAS treat! Do pop by her blog and leave her some love. :) The regular DT members have done fab job with their inspiration cards as well -do check them out!

I was inspired by sunshine (I used colored vellum that reminded me of sunshine/sunset) and also made a wedding card -inspired by the whole sentiment. The stamps I used for heat embossing with white powder come from STAMPlorations and are called Ever After and Fond Expressions. Hope you like! The layout and idea for vellum come from my good friend Milla -I received a wonderful card from her a couple of days ago.

See you at  TIME OUT Challenges!

Hi guys!
We have a new challenge for you at STAMPlorations! Please click here for all the details and fab DT cards. We have several guest designers: Rahmat GouseCarol Dunham and Greta Hess. They have all made great projects using STAMPlorations stamps and stencils -you don't want to miss them!

The stamps I'm using in my DT card are Hashtag Authentic and Trendy Leaves. I was inspired by a past sketch at CASE this Sketch... But didn't end up really following it. :) My leaf is stamped with two tones of Memento and the sentiment is heat embossed with white powder. Some sequins and string finish off the card... Oh and there's washi of course! :) Hope you like and see you at STAMPlorations!
