Runway Inspired Paint Chip Flowers
Hi!
This is a quick card I made for Virginia's Paint Chip Challenge and for Runway Inspired Challenges. The moment I saw the inspiration dress I knew the stamp I wanted the use -Mixed Media by Prima- I knew I wanted to have different colors peeking through white embossing. After hoarding paintships last weekend I got the idea to heat emboss on top of them and that looks pretty fun I think! I chose two chips with complimentary colors for my background. Kiitos is Finnish for Thank You... So Kiitos for paying me a visit, have a great day!
Pssst... Only 2 more days for the DT Call at TIME OUT Challenges!

Second Sneak Peek at TIME OUT Challenges
Good morning card makers!
We have a new challenge sneak peek for you at TIME OUT Challenges! On Monday you got to hear all about our Inspired by Words challenge and today we are inspired of... Well, go and have a look! :) There's only a week left before our DT Call starts. Exciting times!
My card today is something I created just for fun and for getting my mojo back. I was crafting a lot the last couple of weeks preparing DT projects for the future and this week I haven't done anything really. I thought creating a fun background would be good mojo therapy and so it was! I've used various Memento and Distress Inks for stamping, sponging, stenciling and just being generally messy. The background has maybe 5 different layers of action, it's hard to remember anymore! The swirl-stamp is from STAMPlorations, you'll find the Distressed Floral Swirls here and the Created With Love- stamp is from this month's stamp set by Avocado Arts. The harlequin diamond stamp is by Prima.
I hope you'll head on over to TIME OUT Challenges now! Thanks for popping by.

You're Sew Special!
Hi there!
Here's my card for the current Addicted to CAS: Use Die Cuts. The theme is chosen by wonderful Loll, the queen of die cuts! I hope you'll visit her blog and leave her some love -she is a very inspirational lady. Sandie is another great, inspirational blogging friend and I have to thank her for this card -she has given me this beautiful mannequin to play with. I had SUPER fun playing with the mannequin -first stamping some script with a Prima stamp, sponging the edges with Vintage Photo DI, adding the lace for dress, ribbon for belt and flower for extra gorgeousness. :) I wanted to add some designer paper to this card too, I think it fits the vintage-feel nicely. Thanks for popping by and have a great new week!

Anything Goes at Inkspirational Challenges!
Hi friends!
Christmas is getting closer and closer... Many of us are lucky to have some free time during the Holidays and in the end of December -a perfect opportunity to craft something you love for the currant Anything Goes Challenge at Inkspirational Challenges! In making of my DT card I followed a tutorial by Shery, one of the coolest crafters in blogland! Click here for her tutorial for mixed media. I've used Trendy Feathers by STAMPlorations, tiny scripture stamp by Prima + Asian influenced stamps from a Pink Cat Studio set. I decoupaged a doily I had stained with mists but the other embellies are attached "normally" -when decoupaging my doily I remembered why I don't use that medium too much -so messy! :) The color of the doily is more muted in real life than in the photo -it's maybe the shine of the mists and decoupage medium that makes it look all yellow in the photo :) However, I quite like the look of this card and I want to try this kind of backgrounds in CAS cards too. Do check out Shery's tutorial for the instructions on how to make this kind of background!
I hope you'll now head on over to the Inkspirational challenge blog to see all the beautiful DT makes. You'll find all the challenge details there too. I'll look forward to visiting your blogs. Happy crafting!

Linen Card
Hi guys,
just a quick post sharing a card I made for Jackie's Linen Color Challenge and Digi Sketch Challenge -use a rubber stamp. I've embossed the stamped background image from Prima with white powder and the greeting (Congratulations in Finnsh) is embossed too. I'm usually not a huge fan of store bought flowers but I like these simple, plain white ones quite a bit! Have a fun weekend everyone and thanks for popping by!
EDIT: I find the new linky thing in challenge blogs really hard to use -it crops my photos so that it shows only a small portion of the card -and when I try to crop it myself, I don't understand how to move the arrows so that it would crop it in a better way! I don't have a mouse so it's hard to grab those lines and move them... Any tips?

Poltettu patiikki / Burned Batik
Tämä kortti/työ on tehty Koukussa kortteihin Tekniikka10:n. Koukussa kortteihin yhteistyössä Taika-lehden kanssa.
Heippa!
Mukavaa viikonloppua kaikille!
Hiya!
More cards for the TechniqueTen Challenge I've been telling you about lately -you'll find all the cards labeled with "Tekniikkakymppi/TehcniqueTen". This challenge was all about learning "Burned Batik", you can find the tutorial here. I loved this technique: you overheat clear embossing powder and the result is completely different than in regular resist embossing. Wow! The tree stamp comes from Kanban, the script on the edges is a Prima stamp and I've used DI inks to give color to my card. I originally stamped my sentiment directly on the card with the tree -as you can already guess, it smudged... So I had to cover it. You can believe I was a bit %(/&%¤%&/ for some minutes but I'm over it now. :) I hope you like my card and thanks for popping by... Have a wonderful weekend!

Addicted To CAS
Nyt kuitenkin vuoroon Addicted To Stamps And More, jossa haastamme teidät CAS-korttien pariin. Addicted To Stamps And More DT on täynnä CAS-taitureita joten jos kaipaat inspistä yksinkertaisiin kortteihin, eikun haasteblogiin katsastamaan heidän työnsä. :) Askartelun iloa!
Hello my dear friends!
First I want to wish everyone Good Spring -I think the spring is officially here now after Easter! Then I'd like to say I'm sorry I haven't been around as usually -I've been busy with work and I also did some travelling during Easter holidays. The upcoming busy days will show in my blog too: I'm afraid I have time only for my DT cards for couple of weeks... No worries though, things will get more laid back in two week's time!
Ok, today's card... It's my DT piece for Addicted To Stamps And More where we want to see your clean and simple (CAS) crafty makes this week. Our sponsor is the wonderful Heather Ellis, I love this sweet digi girl that I've used from her collections. When I saw her I knew I wanted to do something "retro" and went with vintage browns and some craft cardstock. To add interest I stamped some script with a Prima stamp, sprayed golden Stardust here and there and inked all edges with Distress Inks. I originally planned to frame the entire image but I found this slightly smaller piece of kraft card and I think it worked well -my layout is actually pretty close to a layout my DT friend Loll used some days ago -I told her I'd CASE her and this is not that far from her card! :) I hope you will check out all the amazing DT cards in the challenge blog -these ladies know how to make CAS cards. Happy crafting!

Elämä on ihanaa/ What a wonderful life
Viikonloppu, ihanaa!
Weekend, finally! I needed it... This vintage wedding-card was a joy to make, the couple who receives it is really dear to me. They travel to France for their honeymoon and that's why the papers and stamped image inside the card are France-themed. The other inside page is covered with homemade paper that I made using pages of an old "marriage guidance"-book that dates back to year 1916 . :) Some stamping, the text sticker... That's about it. Please click the images larger for closer look!
By the way, as you may notice, there's something wrong with my blog template, it's not showing as it should. We have to bear with it for a bit over a week: I will travel abroad on Tuesday and am pretty busy now... And to be truthful, I'm already working away from home and my so called web support person (read: husband) is 500 km:s away from me... :) Thanks for visiting my blog!
