For A Guy!

Hi friends!

Before telling you about today's card let me apologize for not blog hopping too much lately -I was away from home last week and I've been a bit tired after my travels. So if you haven't received any comments from me lately that doesn't mean I've forgotten you! :)

My card today is for Less Is More and CAS on Sunday -both are having a Masculine theme. Cards for men... Always a pain! :) I have many blogging friends who master this sort of "grungy" look -for example Shery, Sandie and Shirley. I'm always into cute images, florals, doilies, lace and such but really adore this look with a more rougher edge and thought I should give it a try. Well, I don't know about the grungyness of this but it sure doesn't look like a card made by me! I used Kaiserkraft background stamps, sentiment stamp from VIGNETTE: Chevron and Arrows by STAMPlorations, stenciling and some sequins to create my card. I was almost ready to give up with this but after adding the black corners the card started to please my eye more. Thanks for popping by! xx

Elämä on ihanaa/ What a wonderful life

Viikonloppu, ihanaa! Pienen levon tarpeessa jo olinkin. :) Tätä vintage-henkistä hääkorttia oli ilo tehdä, sen vastaanottava hääpari on erityisen rakas. Kortti valmistui jo aiemmin kesällä vintagehaasteeseen KK-sivustolla. Vastanaineet matkaavat Ranskaan ja sisäpuolen paperi ja leimakuva ovat siihen teemaan sopivia. Innostuin myös tekemään itse toista sisäsivua koristavan paperin, sen palaset on revitty vuonna 1916 julkaistusta avio-oppaasta. :) Lisänä leimailua ja kukkia sekä tuo ihana tekstitarra. Muuten, niin kuin varmasti huomaat, blogitaustassani on joku hässäkkä, se ei näy kunnolla. Ongelmaa pitää kestää reilun viikon verran, lähden ulkomaille tiistaina ja tässä ennen on kaikenlaista kiirettä enkä ehdi asiaa hoitamaan. Totta puhuen, olen jo nyt työn puolesta pois kotoa, ja ns. atk-tukihenkilö (=aviomies) on 500 kilometrin päässä. :) Kiitos, kun vierailit blogissani!

Weekend, finally! I needed it... This vintage wedding-card was a joy to make, the couple who receives it is really dear to me. They travel to France for their honeymoon and that's why the papers and stamped image inside the card are France-themed. The other inside page is covered with homemade paper that I made using pages of an old  "marriage guidance"-book that dates back to year 1916 . :) Some stamping, the text sticker... That's about it. By the way, as you may notice, there's something wrong with my blog template, it's not showing as it should. We have to bear with it for a bit over a week: I will travel abroad on Tuesday and am pretty busy now... And to be truthful, I'm already working away from home and my so called web support person (read: husband) is 500 km:s away from me... :)  Thanks for visiting my blog!
