Lemon Zest Card

Hi friends!
It's a sunny day in Oulu today, quite a lovely change since the whole week has been grey and rainy... My card is sunny too I think and it is for Rockwell Designs Lemon Zest Challenge. Click the link for all the details, you could win a free blog header by entering these fun color challenges by Jackie Rockwell! My image is Jackie's too, it's part of a FREE fruit digi collection, click here to find it. I had planned to do a really CAS card but then the image started to look somehow retro to me... And after I found this floral paper with vintage feel from my stash, my CAS plans went out of the window. :) That's all from me now, I hope you like my little card, thanks for popping by! I hope to be back tomorrow -or even later today.

Yummy... Watermelon!

Hi friends!
I tend to think that in August the summer ends here in Finland but usually it's just my summer holiday that ends and the warm days still continue -that's the situation now at least. :) I've created a summery card using paper scraps and a free digi from Jackie Rockwell, you'll find it here in a set of other fruit stamps. The idea how to attach the twine through card spine comes from Kristina Werner's Youtube video here. In addition to that I was inspired by two things: beautiful inspiration photo at Curtain Call Challenge and the layout that Amy used in her cards here. Amy is one of the most talented card makers using Copics that I've seen in blogland -I hope you'll visit her blog and check out the fun cards she makes. I'm always inspired by her Copic color combos! This card is also for  3rd Anniversary Case Study blog hop 1 -it would be fun to do all the three hops but I think I won't make it! I already visited the blogs on the 1st hop list, it was a very inspirational journey. That's it from me now, I hope you liked my card and see you soon again!

Pyöriä Ja Kukkia / Flowers and Bicycles

Sorry for the blurry pic, clicking it bigger helps a bit!

Heippa!
Osallistunpas toiseen Rockin Out The Digis haasteeseen, jossa on mahdollista käyttää Jackie Rockwellin kauniita, ilmaisia digikuvia. Tällä kertaa tarjolla olikin iso, kevät-aiheinen setti, josta käytin vain tätä yhtä kukkaa, halusin tehdä oikein simppelin kortin. Koristeitakin on nolla!

Bloglovin "imaisee" Googlen lukulistasi napin painalluksella ja et menetä lukemiasi blogeja -lisäksi voit ottaa "follow this blog with bloglovin"-painikkeen blogiisi, jonka kautta saat taas uusia lukijoita blogillesi. Mukavaa viikon jatkoa sinulle!

Hi!
I'm entering the 2nd Rockin Out The Digis Challenge where Jackie Rockwell is generously offering her free springy digi set to work with. Although the set is really versatile and has many beautiful elements I wanted to do something really quick and simple and opted to do a layout with 3 flowers in a row. I colored them with Copics and added... zero embellishments!! Well done me! :) The sentiment (spring wishes in Finnish) I had to stamp to an extra piece of cardstock because I smudged the one I stamped directly under my flowers, typical... :) I look forward to making more cards with other elements from the set.

Anyway, to a different matter: Google and therefore Blogger is discontinuing the Friend Connect- system, if I've understood right, this not so nice change will happen in next July. It's good to prepare for the change already now by joining Bloglovin: Bloglovin copies your bloglist from Google in a click of a button and you will not lose track of your favorite blogs. Also, you can encourage your followers to join Bloglovin too so that you don't miss them -I'm thinking this must feel awful for people who have had their blogs for years and have thousands of followers, terrible! :( I've now added a "Follow this blog with bloglovin"- button to my sidebar.

That's it for now, have a nice day and thanks for popping by!

Happy Birthday!

Heips,
tämän suloisen CAS-kortin tekaisin Jackie Rockwellin ilmaisista digikuvista...

Hiya,
this CAS card uses cute free digi images from Jackie Rockwell. She has a new Rockin' Out The Digis challenge going on at her blog -you enter simply by using these images on a CAS card. The concept is similar to Muse Card Club, after the inlinkz has closed the participants get to vote for their favorite. Really fun! When I saw these images I knew immediately that I wanted to do paper piecing, it's one of my favorite techniques nowadays. I couldn't resist on giving each flower a small "drop" too, I think it's still pretty CAS! :) The text is colored with just one Copic, Salmon Pink. Have a nice rest of the week and thanks for popping by -I hope you like my card!
