Sail Away At Tuesday Throwdown

Uuden Tuesday Throwdown haasteen aika! Teemana on kesäinen "Sail Away" eli peräänkuulutamme meri-aiheisia kortteja laivoineen, veneineen, merimiehineen ym... DT-inspiraatiota löytyy runsain mitoin hasasteblogista, klikkaa yllä olevaa linkkiä! Tämän viikon sponsori on Mygrafico ja kortissani komeileva paatti on heidän valikoimistaan. Olen viime aikoina tehnyt koristeellisempia kortteja ja taas vintagekorttejakin joten aika oli kypsä simppelimmälle designille. :) Käytin purjeisiin paper piecing-tekniikkaa ja leimasin Finnstamperin tervehdyksen kylkeen ja kulmapalojen ja leipurinnyörin lisäämisen jälkeen tämä pikku tervehdys olikin sitten valmis! Haasteblogista löydät kaikki tiedot osallistumista varten ja sitten ei muuta kuin hiiohoi, merellisiä kortteja kehiin!

Time for Tuesday Throwdown! Our theme is fun and summery "Sail Away" so think of all things nautical -sea, boats, sailors... You name it!  You'll find plenty of DT inspiration in the challenge blog so head on over there to have a look. Our sponsor is Mygrafico and the cute little sailboat I've used is from their collections. I paper pieced the sails and stamped my greeting by hand: "Kesäiloa" is Finnish and means "Summer Joy". It was fun to make a more CAS card for a change, I've been coloring a lot of images and making vintage cards/ quite embellished cards lately. Here's my DT-card for Tuesday Throwdown, we have just started a new challenge with the theme "My mother, My Friend". Robyn's Fetish is generously sponsoring us this week and I got to work with their charming digi Drink Your Milk. To be honest, I had to confirm my mum that she wouldn't mind getting a card with a cow on it -I didn't want her to think that I think she would be a cow!! Lol! Anyways...  My mum likes embellies, bling and stuff so I tried to add a lot of bits and bobs from my crafting stash. I'm happy with the necklace on my cow, I think it's quite a sweet touch. :) I hope you now head on over to the challenge blog for all the challenge details and more DT inspiration -you won't be disappointed! Suloinen Tervehdys! / A Sweetie Saying Hi! :)

Pääsiäisiloa, ystävät!
Olen reissussa eikä uusia askarteluja ole, mutta näytille tämänviikkoisessa Koukussa Kortteihin haasteessa DT-työnäni "edustanut" hiirikortti. Haasteen aiheena oli eläin ja hiiren lisäksi tästä löytyy vielä perhonen ja pari pikkuista ampparikin. :) Olen saanut  leimakuvan lahjaksi joten valmistajaa en tiedä -suloinen on! Erikoisemman mallinen korttipohja on päällystetty kuviopaperilla, lisänä vain kakkupaperi ja Twineryn leipurinnyöriä. Mukavaa pääsiäisen jatkoa kaikille!

Here's my DT card for this week's Hooked On Cards Challenge (site in Finnish and needs registration). Our theme is "Animals" and from my stash I found a stamped image that has 3: a mouse, a butterfly and even some tiny bees. I've covered the fancy shaped card base with patterned paper and added a doily and some baker's twine from The Twinery, a very simple card but I love the cute image! This is just a quick post from me, I'm visiting my relatives now during the Easter days. Thanks for popping by, my best Easter Wishes for you all!

Luova aamu... / Create!

Huomenta! Muutama CAS-kortti näytille... Luulisi, että suollan näitä yksinkertaisia kortteja parissa minuutissa, mutta tapanani on tuijottaa niitä työpöytäni ääressä tuntikausia... Niin näidenkin korttien kohdalla. :) Kortit ovat ei-kotimaisiin haasteisiin joten vaihdan enkuksi, jos on jotain, josta et saa kiinni ja haluat kysyä, jätäthän kommentin. Oikein kivaa viikkoa teille kaikille!

Good morning friends!
One would think that CAS cards would be ready in couple of minutes but I have this habit of sitting by my desk and staring at my cards for hours, thinking if I should do something more or not... Here are two cards from this morning now, declared ready. :) My first card is inspired by a sketch at CASE this Sketch, I ended up pretty far away from the sketch though... It's also for CAS-ual Fridays where the theme is to use chipboard. I used a chipboard flower tinted with Stardust mists and sprayed some mists on my card base too. I've never tried using the sprays in this way before and am loving the look! The text is from Finnstamper and reflects my creative morning nicely. :)

The second card is for Less Is More where the theme is to use a frame of some kind. I decided to use a dry embossed card as my frame (thanks to friends over at Finnish site Hooked On Cards I have some dry embossed cards now, I'm loving them!) by simply cutting a circle out of it with my Fiskars Shape Cutter. I stamped the flower image directly to my card base -the image is a freebie stamp that came with a crafting magazine, I think it works well in CAS designs- and added a couple of rhinestones for bling. :)

Rustic vs. Shiny!

Two cards two show you this evening, they differ quite a lot from each other. The first card, with stamped dragonflies and chipboard butterflies, is for C.R.A.F.T. Challenge, I've followed their recipe of 2 squares (well, my base card is also a square but I hope the base doesn't count!), one circle, one sentiment and use ribbon. My dragonflies come from Impression Obsession and the text is Chocolate Baroque's. I've created the colors myself with Stardust mists -the shine of the card is beautiful IRL. The paper is mulberry paper so it has a pretty texture too. 

My second card is for CAS-ual Fridays where the theme is to use silver. I've stamped my Hero Arts chandelier with silver Embrace Ink and embossed with clear powder. There's more silver in the glittery matting card. I embellished with small half pearls, they have a slight purple tone in them, quite pretty actually! Hip hip hurraa is "hip hip hurrah" in Finnish -pretty close to English. :)

toivottavasti suomen kieltä etsivät rullasivat sivun tänne tarpeeksi alas! Muutaman kortin tein eilen yömyöhällä, haastekortteja totta kai, addikti mikä addikti. :) Ensimmäisessä kortissa olen luonnut kuviopaperit itse: pohjana on mulperipaperi, päälle on suihkittu Stardust-misteillä ja leimattu Inpression Obsessionin taustaleimasimella sudenkorentoja. Teksti on Chocolate Baroquen ja siivekkään tyylin viimeistelin chipboard-perhosilla. Toinen kortti on enemmän CAS-linjoilla: leimasin Heron kynttiläkruunun hopealle Embrace musteella ja embossasin värittömällä jauheella. Hiukan kauniin liilan sävyisiä puolihelmiä ja teksti, siinä se! Toivottavasti tykkäät ja kiitos kun käväisit, mukavaa viikon jatkoa sinulle!

Lempileimasin / My Favorite Stamp

Moikka! Tässä DT- korttini uusimpaan Koukussa Kortteihin haasteeseen, jonka aihe on kiva: lempileimasin. Valinta oli toki hirmuisen vaikea, mutta valitsin lopuksi tämän hiirulin: hän on ensinnäkin ylimuikea, ja lisäksi nämä WOJ:n hiiret innostivat minut tarttumaan tusseihin ja Copic-tusseja hommattuani on värittäminen alkanut olla hurjan kivaa. Leimailin muutamia tähtiä Kanbanin setistä ja teskti on Finnstamperilta -kortti on aika simppeli eikä suurempia esittelyjä kaipaa. Ai niin, luonnos on tavallaan vanha Sketch Saturday- luonnos, nauhan paikka vain on eri. Hip hip!

Hiya! This is my DT-card for the newest Hooked On Cards challenge. The topic is a fun one: your favorite stamp. It was really difficult to choose but this mouse won in the end: After seeing some WOJ mice colored with Copics last fall I bought some Copics myself and really started to enjoy coloring. I also love his face, he looks so pleased with himself! My sketch is a modification of a previous sketch from Sketch Saturday, I just changed the place of the ribbon. I added some starts stamped with a Kanban stamp and the text is from Finnstamper. It's Finnish but maybe understandable for English speakers also? Hip hip hurraa! :)
