Layer It Up!

Hi dear friends in blogland,
time for new Digi Sketch Challenge! We have a fun theme, "Layer It up" and as always we have a sketch for you too. I'm really happy with my Copic coloring this time -of course there's room for improvement but I'm quite pleased with the flowers, dress and wings! I didn't want to cover the pretty papers too much -that's why I didn't follow Sharon's lovely sketch- but there's still layers. Make Your Mark at Addicted To Stamps And More!

Hi friends in blogland!
We had amazing entries in our Anything Goes challenge at Addicted To Stamps And More last week and I know there will be equally great entries in our currant Make Your Mark Challenge this week! We want you to use markers, pens, pencils, crayons... You get the idea, right! I colored this beautiful ADFD Vintage Freebie with Copics and created a vintage-card -vintage is one of my favorite styles. I owe gratitude to crafting friend Tuula for the die-cut oval and butterfly: they are stunningly beautiful. Thank you Tuula! :) I distressed all the paper edges with a distressing tool and inked them with DI vintage photo. Some embellishments for the hat... Sentiment from LOTV... And my card was done. Tänään Sami julkaisi yllä olevat uudet Summer Veggie Fairies digikuvat Sami Stamps blogissaan! Blogista ja Samin nettikaupasta löytyy myös freebie-kuvia, kannattaa ehdottomasti tsekata. Tänään starttasi uusi haastekin proggiksille, joissa on käytetty Samin kuvia -ilmaiskuvista löytyy varmasti mieluisia, jos et nyt ole ostoaikeissa. Tsekkaapas yllä oleva linkki ja ihastu! :)

Minun vihanneskeijuni on oikeasti retiisikeiju, mutta eipäs minulla ollut retiisin sävyisiä Copiceja joten porkkanakeijuksi muuttui hän! Kirjoittelen tätä parhaillaan Helsingissä ja tarkoitukseni on lähteä hankkimaan uusia Copiceja, ihanaa laajentaa varastoja. Kesäinen Helsinki on kyllä mahtava, tosi kiva lomailla ja tavata ystäviä. See those amazing Summer Veggie Fairies images above? Sami released them today at Sami Stamps,  I'm loving them and I'm sure you do too! With the release Sami started also a new challenge -use yellow and/or green stripes- for projects with Sami Stamps images. In case you don't yet know, there's really cute Sami Stamps freebies  here -you could use those for your challenge make and win more Sami's images to work with! Time to play along. :)

My Veggie Fairy is called Radish Fairy but since I didn't have Copics in those colors she turned into a Carrot Fairy instead! :) I'm writing this not in my home town but in Helsinki -Helsinki is Finland's capital, I used to study here and all my closest girl friends live here so you can believe how much I'm enjoying my time here! I'm visiting the city for 5 days and I also plan to go to all the craft shops and buy new Copics -maybe I can color her in her real colors when I go back home again! Sami julkaisi tänään uusia digikuvia Sami Stamps sivustolla! Julkaisun nimi on "Snuggle Bugs" ja pääset näkemään kaikki julkaisun kuvat täältä. Blogissa on myös uusi ilmaiskuvien osio, täällä,  Kannattaa tutustua! Värittelin suloisen Snuggle Bugs julkaisun keijukuvan tuttuun tapaan Copiceilla ja leimailin vähän tekstileimalla kuvan ympärille. Pikkuisen koristeluja ja kortti olikin sitten  siinä. Sami from Sami Stamps released new digis today! They are called "Snuggle Bugs" and you'll find them all here at Sami Stamps blog. There's also a new section for freebies, they are all amazing and you'll find them here! I colored the Protective Fairy image from the new release with Copics and did some stamping with a script stamp for framing. Ensimmäinen Sami Stamps Haaste! / The First Ever Sami Stamps Challenge!

Eilen lupaaamani ensimmäinen Sami Stamps haaste on nyt pyörähtänyt käyntiin ja teema on helppo ja kiva: käytä pitsiä tai nauhaa. Haaste on avoin kaikille ja kaksi voittajaa saavat lahjakortit Samin putiikkiin. Tarjolla on myös kaksi ihanaa freebietä, jee! Näissä korteissa olen käyttänyt Samin uunituoreita digikuvia -hänellä on kyllä niin omanlaisensa tyyli, herkkä mutta ei silti lässy, minun mieleeni. :) Shopissa on parhaillaan myös tarjouksia, jos ostaa useamman digin -kannattaa tsekata.

En ole varmaan koskaan käyttänyt noin montaa kukkaa kuin tuossa ylemmässä kortissa -halusin vähän testailla omia koristelumieltymyksiä ja ihan kivaahan se oli. Tuohon herkkään kuvaan sopi minusta ihan hyvin tuollainen naisellinen kukkaloisto... Toinen kortti onkin sitten reippaammalla otteella tehty, värityksessäkin olin sen verta reipas, että pään yläpuolelle tuli hurja suttu -siksi tuo Ascot-henkinen "kukkahattu", josta tulikin ihan hauska yksityiskohta lopulta! Toivottavasti kaivelet pitsit ja nauhat kaapista ja osallistut haasteeseen -haaste on käynnissä kuukauden ajan, joten osallistumisaikaa on runsaasti. Mukavaa viikonloppua!

Yesterday I promised you The First Ever Sami Stamps Challenge and now it's time, woo-hoo! :) The theme is a lovely one: "use lace or ribbon". This is an easy peasy for many of us, I hope you'll join us! The challenge is open for everybody and 2 winners will receive gift certificates for Sami Stamps Shop. There's some freebies too, they are adorable, do go and check them out. In my DT cards I've used brand new mother-themed images from Sami, these are so lovely... The whole new release (there's great deals and offers too!), as well as all the challenge details, are to be seen at Sami Stamps.

In my first card I've used more flowers than I think I've ever used in a card -it's fun to do something different once in a while and push your own boundaries. The second card is more my usual style... Parhaat Kaverukset / Best Friends Forever

Tässä se tulee, ensimmäinen korttini Sami Stamps digikuvien design teamiläisenä, jeejeejepulijee! :) Sami julkaisi juuri setin vauva-aiheisia, todella herkkiä digikuvia -klikkailepas yllä olevaa linkkiä niin näet muiden DT-tyttöjen ihanat kortit ja saat lisää ihfoa julkaisusta. Samin digikuvia voi ostaa tuolta blogista tai A Day For Daisies nettikaupan kautta, piakkoin myös Etsystä. Olen niin täpinöissäni tästä pestistä, että ihan kihelmöin täällä kirjoittaessani!

Kortissani olen yhdistänyt kaksi eri kuvaa: My Friend Teddy ja Boy And Kitty. Teksti on ilmainen, askartelulehden mukana tullut leima ja feikkiommel on LOTV:n. Olen aika iloinen tämän kortin värimaailmasta -ja etenkin siitä, että sain silppuja käytettyä! Oikein mukavaa viikonlopun aloitusta sinulle ja kiitos kun poikkesit -arvostan todella kaikkia kommenttejanne. Suunnittelen muuten parhaillaan kevät-candya, siitä lisää ehkä viikonloppuna jos saan arvottavat hankittua ja kuvattua. Tuleekin vähän erilainen candy siitä. ;) Heippatihei!

Here it is, my first DT card for Sami Stamps, I'm so excited! Sami has just released beautiful, baby-themed digistamps -head on over to the Sami Stamps blog for checking out all the wonderful DT cards and getting more info of the images! They are really lovely, I'm sure you'll agree. You'll find them also in A Day For Daisies under Sami Stamps. I put together two separate images: My Friend Teddy and Boy And Kitty. The sentiment is a freebie I got with a crafting magazine and the faux stitch stamp is from LOTV. Papers are from my scraps box -boy I'm happy I got rid of some of the tiny paper pieces! I quite like the colors in this, I think they look a bit retro. I did my coloring with Copics and used some Inktense pencils for coloring the hair too. I hope you like my card and want to visit Sami Stamps next! By the way, I'm planning a little spring-candy so stay tuned... It will be a bit different but very fun, I promise! ;)

Elegantti Meininki/ One Elegant Lady

Yllä DT-korttini uunituoreeseen Koukussa Korttehin haasteeseen, haasteen aiheena on väricombo puna-musta-valkoinen ja tällainen on minun tulkintani. I-ha-na neitoseni on Day For Daisiesin digikuva ja on kyllä upea! Kellopaperi on taustaleimasimella leimattu ja joskus salaiselta ystävältä saatu, upea sekin. Teksti Penny Black, kukat Fiskarsin leikkurilla, väritys Copiceilla, siinäpä kaikki yksityiskohdat tuli käsiteltyä! :)

Tutustuin Day For Daisies- kuviin Digi Sketch DT-hommien kautta ja olen sittemmin ostanut niitä sievoisen pinon... Löytäessäni sivuston joitain viikkoja sitten, oli siellä parhaillaan menossa DT-haku Sami Stamps digikuville. Ilmeisesti satuin oikeaan paikkaan oikeaan aikaan, sillä pari päivää sitten sain kuulla, että minut oli valittu porukkaan, jeiii!! Sami Stamps kuvia voi hankkia tuon suoran linkin kautta, Day For Daisies-kaupan kautta tai Etsystä. Olen aika intona tästä DT-pestistä, sillä tykkään kuvien yksinkertaisen puhuttelevasta, herkästä tyylistä. Käykäähän tutustumassa!

Above is my DT-card for this week's challenge at Finnish card making site Koukussa Korttehin (in Finnish only, needs registration). Our theme this time is "red, black and white" and this is how I chose to use the colors. This amazing digistamp is from A Day For Daisies -I colored the image with Copics and added some flowers, cut with a Fiskars punch, to embellish her dress. I can't tell you how much I love this image! The sentiment is from a Penny Black set. 

I found A Day For Daisies some weeks ago through DT work at Digi Sketch Challenge and through ADFD I found that Sami Stamps was having a DT call. I seemed to have been in a right place at a right time because I was selected to this very talented group, wow!!! Sami Stamps are available through Sami Stamps blog, Day For Daisies and Etsy. I'm really excited about being chosen to this group -the images have this simple, tender beauty that I love. I hope you'll go and check them out!

Ihanat Enkelit / Sweet Little Angels

DT-hommien kautta pääsin tutustumaan A Day For Daisies digikuviin ja siitä lähtien olenkin roikkunut heidän sivullaan ja miettinyt, miten paljon rahaa laittaisin menemään.... A Day For Daisies on sponsorimme meneillään olevassa Digi Sketch haasteessa, voit kurkata siihen tekemäni DT-kortin täältä. Nämä ihanat enkulit ovat tarjolla freebieinä käynnissä olevassa Light As A Cloud haasteessa, johon osallistun tällä kortillani. Minulla kävi pienoinen moka tässä kortissa... Kun leikkaan leimakuvan ääriviivoja pitkin, minulla on lopuksi aina tapana käydä reunat tosi varovasti läpi mustalla musteella, jotta valkoinen "leikkausjälki" ei jää näkyviin. Enkelieni päät olivat niin pikkuruiset, etten uskaltanut ryhtyä sohimaan musteentuputtimen kanssa ja sain "loistavan" idean käyttää "varovasti" mustaa tussia... EI hyvä idea! Tussi kun reagoi tytsyleiden hiuksissa olevan värin kanssa ja lähti leviämään... Eli en suosittele! :)

Through my DT-duties at Digi Sketch Challenge I found out about A Day For Daisies. They are sponsoring our latest challenge (see my card with the lovely Cinderella here) and after finding out about them I've been surfing on their website wondering just how much money I'll spend... So beautiful images! These little angels are a freebie at Light As A Cloud Challenge in A Day For Daisies blog and this is my card I've made for the challenge. Everything did not go like planned... Always if I cut out a stamped image, I have a habit of tapping the edges with black ink so that the "white cutting line" vanishes. After cutting my angels I noticed that their sweet little heads are too tiny for my ink dabber so I had a "great" (yeah...)  idea to "carefully" (yep...) color the edges with black marker.... Not a good idea!! The black marker reacted with the colors I had colored their hairs with and spread around a bit... Not too pretty. So do not try that at home! :)  

With this card I want to wish you all Happy Easter! 

Fairytale or Fantasy at Digi Sketch Challenge

toivottavasti tykkäätte tästä kortista yhtä paljon kuin minä itse! Tämä A Day For Daisies dikikuva on minusta todella kaunis, aivan ihana värittää.
