Happy Day

Hi friends!
I'm sharing a card I made for a couple of challenges in mind.

Crafty Individuals has a Face Value Challenge. It's just closing but I'm happy I had time to make a card with this gorgeous Crafty Individuals lady! I created a fun headpiece for her using a Penny Black die (this is actually a leaf) and some sequins and rhinestones. I colored the pretty lady with Copics and added Wink of Stella glitter brush pen to the background.

Mod Squad Challenge is Anything Goes with dies  so I'll enter this simple CAS card there too. The sponsor is OneHappyCut.com -they have awesome dies, wish me luck! :)

Photo Inkspiration at Inkspirational!

Hi friends!
We have the last challenge for 2014 for you at Inkspirational! As you can see from above it's a very cool photo inspiration. The Ink DT has made extra stunning projects for you -I absolutely loved the cards when I saw them! You'll love them too so don't forget to check them out and visit everyone's blogs. Our guest designer this time is Karen from Made by Meadie.  She is a very talented card maker who often has this cutesy feel to her designs I adore! Welcome to Inkspirational, Karen !

My take on the inspiration photo is very simple: I was inspired by the city skyline and colors -my purple is a bit more plum though! I bought this beautiful Crafty Individuals rubber stamp especially for making a Christmas card for my favorite London girl Sandie. I combined it with a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp, heat embossed with Liquid Platinum powder by Ranger. The image is stamped with Archival Ink and it stamped beautifully. I also used some Wink of Stella pen in the Christmas tree and London Eye but my photo didn't catch it! Sandie already has this card and she says she likes it so I guess I can be happy! :)

I hope to see you playing along in our final challenge for this year! Happy crafting!

Photo Inkspiration!

Hi friends!
It's time for a fantastic photo inspiration at Inkspirational. Goosh I want to be that woman in the photo! She is gorgeous... And so is her dress! Blue is SO my favorite color at the moment. The Ink DT has made various interpretations on the inspiration pic, please check them out in the challenge blog! Our guest designer this time is Pauline (Cotnob). She has used the perfect stamp for this challenge! Welcome to Inkspirational, Pauline.

When I started to think about my DT card the feathers of the peacock brought this background stamp from Impression Obsession to my mind. I heat embossed it with gold powder and used mists to give it colour -my normal method would have been to sponge the background but I decided I should be brave and give those watery (scary, scary water!!!) mists a chance. In the beginning I didn't like the look but it has grown on me and now I think I'll mist some other backgrounds in the future too! I heat embossed part of an old favorite stamp (see cards I've made with it here) from Crafty Individuals with gold powder and added some lace, ribbon and gems for embellies -this has some vintage-feel I think. When I started making cards vintage was my favorite style and some of my latest cards seem to be leaning to that direction again. There's something in this card that "doesn't do it" for me and I was staring at this for several days... But in the end there was not much else to do but decide it was ready. :)

I wish you all a fun weekend! Thanks for popping by and I hope to see you playing along at Inkspirational!

Photo Inspiration at Addicted to Stamps and More!

Hello friends,
time for another great challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More! This week we are having fun being inspired by a picture, seen above. I didn't have any candle-related stamps so I had to think a bit with this one! For a moment I thought I would make a CAS card with rows of flowers but in the end I went to a completely different direction with stamped vintage image and sponged background. I'm pretty certain I saw a similar card in a quite recent Craft Stamper issue but I'm not completely sure! :)  The colors are inspired by the picture and so is the sentiment. I used glossy cardstock in my card -it made the sponging a bit difficult but the colors are glowing beautifully -I used Adirondrack inks this time. As always, ATSM Design Team has done amazing projects -head on over to the challenge blog for all the challenge details and DT inspiration. We are happy to have MelonHeadz continuing as our July sponsor. Happy crafting!

Addicted to Stamps!

Tällä viikolla Addicted To Stamps And More haasteessa ollaan kirjaimellisesti addiktoiduttu leimasimiin, haastena kun on käyttää leimasimia. :) Leimasimia meillä monilla tuntuu olevan kaapit pullollaan joten haasteeseen mukaan vain! Sponsorimme on Inspired by Stamping, voittaja saa lahjakortin tähän i-ha-naan putiikkiin.

Time for Addicted To Stamps And More! Above is my DT card for this week: we want to see you use stamps in your craft projects! An easy week for all us stamp lovers -or should I say addicts. :) We are sponsored by Inspired by Stamping, our winner will receive a gift card to this amazing store. Please head over to the challenge blog for all the details -you will be stunned by the other DT cards, amazing cards from those lovely ladies!

The stamp I've used for my focal image is by Crafty Individuals, I think those girls are so beautiful. I made the yellow-orange cardstock myself by having fun with Stardust mists -the card has a beautiful shine IRL, it's a shame it doesn't show in the photo. I did some background stamping with a text stamp from La Blance and added lace and ribbon to finish off the card -not too many embellishments but I think the card looks pretty full anyway. I hope you'll join our Stamps Challenge, I love visiting everybody's blogs, happy crafting!
