Inkspirational Love

Hi friends!
For now my plan to enter all the Inkspirational Challenges in August is going smoothly -this is my third card out of the 5 weeks of the rota. :) This time the challenge has a CASE week and the beautiful inspiration card by Marina is below this text. I took many elements from the card -"lovebirds", colors, doily, gems... And made it my own stamped CAS version with miniature pearls. I love the doily stamp from My Mind's Eye and the birds are really cute too -I don't remember the maker of them but it's a fun set with birds, birdcages and flowers. My hubby's sister wants me to make her wedding invitations using this stamp next summer -luckily there's still time to plan! That's all from me now, I have a busy day ahead of me. Vielä on pari Tekniikkakympin korttia bloggaamatta, tässä niistä kaksi, Faux Linen (ohje täällä) ja Glossy Resist (ohje täällä). Etenkin tuo Glossy Resist oli minusta ihana tekniikka ja aion ehdottomasti käyttää sitä pian uudestaan! Faux Linen-tekniikkaa taidan kokeilla seuraavaksi ihan ilman leimakuvaa, vaikka tuo Impression Obsessionin sudenkorento-leimasin kaunis onkin. Kiemurat meni vähän överiksi tässä... Glossy Resist-korttiin olen aika tyytyväinen, siitä tuli mukavan simppeli ja söpökin. :) Mukavaa toukokuista viikonloppua ystävät ja kiitos kun piipahdit!

Those of you who visit me more regularly have seen cards made for "TechniqueTen", it's a really cool technique challenge that has been running for the month of April at Finnish card making site Koukussa Kortteihin. I still have a couple of cards that I haven't posted and the ones that you see here now are made for "Faux Linen"- (tutorial here) and Glossy Resist (tutorial here) challenges. These were both fun techniques, my Faux Linen card is not my favorite (I went a bit crazy with those swirls...) but I loved the effect of Glossy Resist -I'm definitely going to be using that technique soon again. I hope you liked these cards and thanks for popping by!

Tässä korttini, jonka teossa yhdistin kaksi haastetta: luonnos on CAS(E) this Sketch! haasteesta ja aihe on CAS-ual Fridays blogista, jossa inspiroidutaan tällä viikolla rakkauslaulusta. Minun suosikkiartistini on Adele ja rakastan hänen "Someone Like You"-hittiään, en kyllästy siihen varmaan ikinä... Tuo laulu lienee olla tehty jollekin hyvin spesiaalille tyypille ja siitä lähti ajatus käyttää noita askartelulehden kylkiäisenä tulleita ompeluaiheisia leimasimia "SEW Special"-tekstineen. Someone Like You:n menestys myös nosti Adelen ennennäkemättömään suosioon ja olen ymmärtänyt tällä biisillä olevan erityisasema myös hänen sydämessään. Olkoon tämä kortti nyt sitten vaikka Adelen kunniaksi, ihana tyttö, mikä ääni ja karisma!

Jos olet vieraillut blogissani parin viime päivän aikana, olet ehkä huomannut taustojen ja mallin vaihtumisen tiuhaan tahtiin -testailen vähän uusia ulkoasuja ja en näemmä millään tule tyytyväiseksi. Älä siis säikähdä, jos täällä taas huomenna näyttää erilaiselta! :) Huomenna starttaamme muuten uuden Digi Sketch haasteen kanssa -piipahdathan blogiini lukemaan haasteesta lisää. Here's my card for two challenges: the layout comes from CAS(E) this Sketch! and I was inspired by the love song theme at CAS-ual Fridays. The song I chose is by Adele, my favorite artist... I'm pretty sure that the song "Someone Like You" is written for someone special and that gave me the idea to use these magazine freebie-stamps with the text "SEW Special". I've also understood that "Someone Like You" is a very special piece for Adele herself -with that song she rose to the superstar fame she is now enjoying. I also think that Adele is very special -what a girl, what a voice, what a charisma! At first I wasn't sure about those stamps in a CAS-card, they are so vintage... But in the end I'm quite happy with the result. The doily stamp is from My Mind's Eye. 

If you have been visiting my blog lately you might have noticed I keep on changing the template and the colors -I started to experiment and now I don't seem to become happy...Don't be startled if the look is different again tomorrow! :) By the way, tomorrow is the day for the first ever Digi Sketch Challenge -I hope you'll pop by for more info. Oi kun olen nauttinut kortteilusta tänään ja eilen -oli niin helpotus saada Sinellin kisatyöt valmiiksi parin  viikon pähkäilyn päätteeksi. :) Tämä korttini on tehty muutamaa haastetta silmällä pitäen, haasteet näet käännöksen lopussa. Ispiksen tähän korttiin tarjosi Niinu kortillaan täällä, kiitos Niinu! Hoksasin omistavani saman tyyppisen leimasimen ja siitä se sitten lähti. Tytön siivet ovat todellisuudessa kankaisia lehtiä ja kukkiin laitoin kultaista Sticklesiä. Oikein ihanaa viikonloppua kaikille ja kiitos kauniista, kannustavista kommenteistanne, joita minulle ahkerasti jätätte!

I want to tell you how much I've enjoyed card making yesterday and today after finishing my cards for the 2nd round of Sinelli DT Competition... Tons of creative space from my brain became unoccupied. :) I made this card for couple of challenges, please check the list under this text. I was inspired by Niinu and her card here. I realized I had a similar stamp and off I went stamping, thanks Niinu! The wings I've attached for my girl are actually fabric leaves but they look a bit like wings, don't they? I also added some golden Stickels to the flowers. Have a very nice weekend and I want to thank all of you who so often make my day with your lovely, supportive comments. "See" you soon again! :)

Päiväunilla Purkissa... / Napping In A Soup Can

Torstai on toivoa täynnä... Ja on uuden Willow Sketchie haasteen aika. Haasteessa voit valita joko luonnoksen tai teeman -tällä viikolla teema on cute eli söpöt jutut- tai tehdä kortin noudattaen molempia. Luonnoksen näet käännöksen jälkeen. Minun päiväuniansa nukkuva George-hiiri on siinä määrin suloinen, että minulla on käytössä sekä luonnos että teema! Kortissani olen käyttänyt digileimakuvan lisäksi ainoastaan My Minds Eyen All Spice-paperikon jämiä (myös kukissa) sekä puolihelmiä. Our theme for this week is CUTE and I'd say the digistamp I've used, George Having a Nap, is definitely cute! In other words, I'm following the sketch and the theme. :) Apart from the image, I used only leftovers from My Mind's Eye All Spice paper pack (also in my punched flowers) and half pearls. Pitsiunelmia / Lace Dreams

Huomenta ystäväiset!

Minulla on taas ihana kunnia olla It's All About The Vintage And Beauty tämän kertaisen haasteen Guest Designer yhdessä Margen kanssa, jee jee! Haasteen aiheena on "Pitsiunelmia" ja haasteen keston (lähes kuukausi!), säännöt ja osallistumisohjeet löydät haasteblogista -sieltä löytyvät myös vakituisen DT:n upeat pitsi-aiheiset työt. Leimailin korttini taustan My Minds Eyen pitsikuvioleimasimella ja embossasin kuviot valkoisella kohojauheella. En halunnut paljoakaan peittää taustaa joten kortin muut koristukset ovat varsin vähäiset. Käyttämäni kartonki on DCWV:n helmisäiskartonkia, taitaa olla Serenity-lehtiöstä -tykkään noista kartonkilehtiöistä tosi paljon, hyvä hinta-laatusuhde. Saa tehtyä itselle juuri sopivat korttipohjat ja kehystyskartonkia on runsain mitoin. Suosittelen! Hyviä jouluvalmisteluja sinulle -uskon ehtiväni tänne karkuroimaan vielä kerran ennen joulua joten jätän viralliset toivotukset sinne. :)

I, along with Marge, was chosen as Guest Designer for the current challenge at It's All About The Vintage And Beauty Challenge, so fun! The challenge theme is "Lace Dreams". You'll find all the information you need + beautiful DT-inspiration in the challenge blog, go and check it out! I stamped and embossed the background of my card with My mind's Eye's lace stamp and white embossing powder and  didn't want to cover it up too much after that. The cardstock I used is DCWV:s pearlescent cardstock from Serenity stack. I like to use these DCWV cardstock collections: you never run out of framing cardstock and you are able to make card bases of many colors and just the sizes you need. I highly recommend these stacks! That's all from me now... Have fun preparing for Christmas! I think I'll be able to run way to my blog once more before the Christmas Eve so I'll leave the official Christmas wishes there! Pitsinen CAS-kortti/ CAS with lace images

ja alkuun tervetuloa-hihkahdukset uusille lukijoilleni!
Tänään olen taas CAS-linjalla, näemmä  CAS ja Vintage ovat nykyisin suosikkityylini... Ensi viikolle ennustan väritettyjä leimakuvakortteja, aikaa on tuolloin hieman enemmän -olen onnettoman hidas värittäjä. Tässä kortissa käytin My Mind's Eyen ihanaa leimasinsettiä, ruskeat kuviot on leimattu perinteisesti, valkoinen kuvio on embossattu. Embossaus on tässä taloudessa vähän tulenarkaa puuhaa, teen sen nimittäin leivänpaahtimella... Toistaiseksi tulipaloilta on vältytty. :) Tein korttini hauskaan uuteen haasteblogiin CAS- Colours and Sketches jossa tarjotaan sekä kortin värikombinaatio, että luonnos. Tosi helppoa ja inspiroivaa! Toivottavasti korttini hyväksytään, sävyt saattavat olla hiukan turhan kaukana ehdotetuista... Kiva oli kuitenkin askarrella! Hauskaa viikon alkua sinulle ja kiitos kun piipahdit blogissani!

I was on a CAS-mood -it seems that CAS and Vintage are my favourite looks at the moment. I predict colored in stamped images for next week though -I have more time to craft then and I'm probably the slowest "in-colorer" :) in the world. 

I made this card for a new fun challenge blog CAS -Colours and Sketches. They provide both the color scheme and the sketch of the card -so inspiring and easy! I hope my card is excepted for the challenge since my "cherry cobbler" tone is quite a lot in the pink side... The "pumpkin pie" tone is framing the small squares, I guess you see it better if you click the image larger. The stamp set I used is from My Mind's Eye and I stamped the brown images traditionally and embossed the white one. Luckily, I didn't burn the house down -I emboss with our bread toaster and I'm not quite sure how safe it is! :) That's it from me today, thanks for visiting me, have a great week!
