New Year's Eve nail art

Hi,
Today I'll show you the manicure I'm going to wear for this New Year's Eve. I named them 'comet nails' as this golden sparkle placed in the middle of my nails reminds me of the tail of the comet. I started with two coats of Sephora - Black lace on all nails and then I took my nail sponge for the next steps. I applied the golden polishes using the edge of the sponge and tried to create a straight line in the center of my nails. Firstly, I applied Shimmer Polish - Tracy and then I applied Sephora by OPI - Come to Pappa-razzi. I also applied the second polish using a toothpick and concentrated on placing the glitter particles more to the center. I finished with Seche Vite top coat for some extra sparkle. What do you think about my comet?

Flakies nail art

Hi,
Today I'll show you a simple and really fast to do flakies manicure. I started with two coats of Sephora - Black lace on all nails and then applied some latex peel off tape around my nails to prevent the mess from the next step. This is a great product and really helps a lot with the clean up proccess. Then, using a sponge, I applied the flakies nail polish I have from Sweet Color which I can no longer link you to, but I found some similar polishes here. I finished with Seche Vite top coat on all nails. What do you think? This manicure is perfect for the times when you're in a hurry but still want your nails to look pretty!

Don't forget to also check my post on my other blog about my recent trip to Lyon.

Born Pretty Holographic Powder

Hi,
Today I'll show you my new sparkly manicure I created with Born Pretty's holographic powder. I started with one coat of Sephora - Black lace on all nails and then I applied the powder.

You can see that there's a little brush - exactly like an eye make up brush - to use for applying the powder on the nails. It's easy to apply, but the effect is not so breathtaking like the chrome powder I told you about here. The final look is ok in both cases, but I needed more product to achieve this look, compared to the chrome powder which was perfectly opaque after applying just a small quantity of product.

I created the unicorn using this sheet of nail vinyls. After applying the vinyl, I applied the powder and then removed it and got the little unicorn. Finally, I applied clear top coat on all nails. What do you think of the final look? Have you tried the nail powder yet?
