Canvas with some fun new things I got for my birthday
So, I got some fun new Hazel & Ruby letter stencils (Dear Ruby) from my friend Lural for my birthday!!! So, when I saw the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Time to Grow/Botanical, I decided to try out modeling paste with a flower stencil along with the letters. I originally painted it with a light green chalk paint, and I felt it was hard to see the letters, so I went over the canvas with some gorgeous gelatos from Faber Castell. I also paperpieced/colored a cool Unity girl that I bought recently. I'm sure I will do a better job next time, but I still kind of like the canvas!
Hope you are having a great Memorial Day weekend! Hug a veteran!! Here's a big virtual one going out to my little brother who spent 20 years in the Navy!!!!

Octopus vulgaris
I made this layout with the new Graphic 45 collection "By the Sea." Do you think I could have found a better patterned paper for my photos? I think not!!
Anyway, I made this for my friend Stacy's challenge and also for Simon Says Journey challenge. We journeyed to San Francisco....
Thanks for looking!

Happy Fall
It has been a while since I entered any contests or posted here! We've been busy! I decided that since Simon Says Stamp had an Anything Goes challenge that I would go ahead and make something! I love making these Julie Nutting canvasses! So, I'm entering that. We had our first Thanksgiving with Steve's extended family this weekend. Mitch got sick so he couldn't go but we had a great meal!
Thanks for stopping by. If you get a chance, "comment" in and say hi! I'll try to get back around to you!

Two of Our Favorite Restaurants in San Francisco
"Spring/Summer Color Challenge
We challenge you to use this color range (orange, navy, light blue, green, and brown)."
So, I made this for Little Yellow Bicycle's National Scrapbooking Day sketch challenge and Simon Says Stamp anything goes!!. Funnily, I misread the rules and did the sketch challenge
combined with the color challenge! Oh, well. As you can see, I used “Just
Because” and “Savor” (to get the colors in), and it matched my theme of two of
our favorite restaurants in San Francisco.

Picture Perfect - Disc Golf
I love it when Steve and Mitch play together! Here, I've captured each of them getting ready to throw the disc golf toward the target! They are both so intense!!!!! I created this using this fun sketch from Page Maps and incorporated borders per the challenge instructions. I added a camera from Amy Tan's collection to qualify for Simon Says Stamp Says Take a Picture Challenge. I used a bunch of Jillibean Soup and American Crafts for this page but also added a stamped border of some great stamps from Teresa Collins Designs.
I love all of the color in the page and think the arrows are fun for the movement of the game!
Thanks for looking!!!
I hope you are having a great Memorial Day weekend!

Mitchell Exploring Trees with Grammie in 1995
I made this layout using My Little Shoebox's sketch for NSD. I used two of their collections to make this layout-don't ask me right now which--I just grabbed the ones that seemed to fit the photos. I also decided to incorporate the color challenge at SCT.
I guess I am getting really nostalgic because I went back to my older photos for NSD. I guess it is because Mitch graduates from high school in two weeks--the day after my birthday!!!
Thanks for visiting!

Another Book -- This time a Baby Girl Book
It seems I am always making books lately. I made this little baby girl book for a Creating Keepsakes challenge to make a mini baby album. I made it out of one piece of cardstock and then decorated it. Technically it makes an 8 page book as you can decorate every 6" inch square, but I left two pages "white" with only a small decoration to write some journaling. I am entering it in my friend Stacy's challenge to use at least two punches or diecuts. I used a butterfly, a flower, the large hexagon and the pocket. I got the jewels from Peachy Cheap. I'll be entering this in the Simon Says Anything Goes Challenge, too.
Thanks for looking.
