Our Wedding

I made this using a PageMaps sketch found at Sketches 4 All for Scrapfit's Only You challenge.  It also fits The Paper Variety's week 33 big screen! challenge.  I really like the movie of the same name: Only You with Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr.

Don't forget to enter my blog candy!

Christmas early 1970s

I made this layout for a Bling challenge at Sketches 4 All.  This is my twin sister Karen, "little" brother Dennis, and me in the early 1970s.  I say "little" because he is now 6' 3". Ha I am the twin who is standing!  I used Crate Paper for this.  The bling I used is rhinestones on top of the trees and on the Happy Holidays sign, Stickles on the Merry Christmas stickers and some sequins on top!

My twin sister and me at Christmas 1967 with our Daddy and Mommy

I made this layout of my Daddy and Mommy holding us twins in 1967 at Christmas!  I used My Mind's Eye for the paper and chipboard (except the large ornament, which is Harmonie), the green ribbon is CTMH and the red ribbon came from some Godiva chocolate that I got for Christmas this year!  The scallop at the top is from GCD.  Each small ornament has a jewel from the I-ROCK--hard to tell from the photo, but it's fun in real life! The large ornament has 3 jewels and some Stickles... I thought it turned out well!
This LO qualifies for By the Cute and Girly (bling on ALL of the ornaments plus the paper is very sparkly)!

Julie - Senior Pics - 2010

I used Sketch Inspirations #147 to make this layout just full of punches!!!!! These are some senior pictures of  my niece, Julie! Isn't she pretty?! No, I'm not partial! :-)  Anyway! I used some Harmonie for the background.  You can't tell very well, but I shimmer misted the turquoise circle.  I used my I-ROCK for the bling!  Simon Says Challenge this week is to use punches!  I used a bunch of Martha Stewart butterflies and flowers from Marvy Uchida! I thought it turned out well! :-)

Reading

I made this a while ago, but I just hadn't posted it to the blog yet.  It is mostly Crate Paper. My son and his girlfriend were reading to our nephew (Mitch's cousin)! He just loved it!! I was pretty happy with this layout. I'm not sure why I hadn't posted it yet. I got WAY TOO involved with a huge sketch-a-thon last month, and I think I'm still worn out from it! I hope you enjoy!

Just to let you know, every time I receive a happy comment it makes me smile!

1968- Pink Dolly with a String

My sister and I got "pink dollies with a string" in 1968 for Christmas--or at least that's what we called them!  I actually can't remember the real name of the dolls. All I know is that We were so excited!!!! The pictures are old so they have a "faded" appearance.  But, you can tell we had so much fun with our dolls!  I made this along with the bookmark and card as part of the TRIFECTA for the Design Dollies challenges this week!  I used Cosmo Cricket's Jolly by Golly on all 3 projects--the snowman and the pink snowflake papers went on all three! I used a lot of jewels on the layout to brighten up the photos! I used American Crafts fabric Thickers for the letters!
You were to use the following:
1.  Colors
2. Design Element:
Your challenge (should you choose to accept it) is to create a THEMED project... That means a minimum or two or three matching pieces... I did 3.
3. Sketch

I don't really know how to take a photo of a 2 page layout!

Christmas 2009 - Me

I did a Double at Design Dollies this week! The colors and the sketch were all I could work into my layout!  The flower was made by Jessica in Australia.  The white flowers were made by my good friend and neighbor, Mary!!! I feel so lucky to have these to use on my layouts!

Steve Working while we were on Vacation!

I did this layout for a tone-on-tone challenge and a use a stamp as your title challenge at Sketches for You!! All of the jewels are white but some of them appear to be pink on the photo... Don't know why... Also entered in Scrap Our Stash!

Haley and Mitch at Stephens Lake Park - Take 2

I used my new I-Rock on this layout! It takes a little getting used to, but it's quite fun! I'm sure I will be using it more in the future!  I created this for the color challenge on Design Dollies! I'm also entering it at Sketches 4 All!

Stuart's 4th Birthday - 2010

7/28/2010:  I felt like something was missing here. So, I added some mist and stamping on the yellow background! I don't know if it's better or worse, but I can't change it now!
AFTER:

BEFORE:

I made this layout of my nephew (on my husband's side) Stuart's 4th Birthday using Sketch #134 from Sketch Inspiration!  I used the new Birthday Bash collection from Imaginisce. I also used the new I-Rock tool--first time so I didn't go too crazy with it! Green paper with dots is DCWV, green ribbon with dots is American Crafts. I don't know who made the yellow scalloped paper!
